Thanks for all the birthday wishes

We had a very small party at SIL's house, there were 7 of us, including the baby, and 3 cakes, so my kind of party!

We stopped at a restaurant on the way home and he had great fun with some spaghetti. I had no idea that could be so amusing.

He seems to like his new presents, and DD is keen to play nicely with him now that he has some cool new toys. He has already walkE
d across the room with his new walker thingy, but then he comes up against the wall and is stuck.

The keyboard of my laptop is still more fun though.

Sputnik · 16/06/2008 11:25

Happy Birthday Baby Tallulah

Baby Sputnik has an unfailing ability to seek out used tissues and eat them. Yuk.

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2008 11:26

Talking of which....have you seen Lilkel's DDs cake on FB? It is FAB and puts my Tesco's Penny the Pig cake to shame

Sputnik · 16/06/2008 11:35

Will try and post pics soon, my computers are a mess.

Happy Birthday to Tallulah's DD

DD has now been eating sand and dirt and ripe and unripe tomatoes, baby wipes and is now in the kitchen palying with/eating the cat food...and I can't be fecking arsed getting her out. She is in her third change of clothes already and even these are covered in milk that she drank and then dribbled three mouthfuls out on purpose, laughing all the time.

I just want to eat chocolate.

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2008 12:05

My DD does that....takes a full mouthful of drink and slowly dribbles it out....all the while looking at us and smirking....it is so hard not to laugh!

Ohhhh got another e-mail from M&B asking me if I can get 5 separate testers for highchairs! Oh how exciting, hope we're chosen

norty...looks like you are on her short list! I bet you bags the Tripp Trapp

i had one about re-useable nappies...first 20 replies were getting to be testers, but I bet I'm too late, as I just got it and it was sent at half ten.....

Afternoon chicks!

Hope everyone is well.

Happy Birthday to all the los that have had birthdays over the past few days (MHC, Jammy, Sputnik, SG) and Happy Birthday to Tallulah's DD for today. Hope you all had/are having great days.

I've had the tester emails too daisy and jammy. I left the reusable nappy one (I've finally decided I have enough nappies ), but have applied for the highchair one. I'm prob too late for it now though. I do fancy a Tripp Trapp though ! I'm hoping that the pushchair testing emails will come through later!

Daisy, hope dd is ok after the holly berry incident! My ds is the same, whenever we go outside he find something small and "tasty" to put in his mouth, usually pebbles. A friend of mine's ds ate dog poo once!

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2008 12:54

Haven't heard from her so perhaps we haven't been chosen? I sent my e-mail back within 3 minutes of it coming in.....oh well....

Are Tripp Trapps good? They look a bit odd to me

We've just got a standard woodern Winnie the Pooh hightchair that you can use high or low and has a separate table atm....

Sputnik · 16/06/2008 13:02

We have 2 tripp trapps here, love em

eeeeew at the dog poo

I have just advertised my services on the Breast Buddies website...yikes. Someone might contact me for real now

silent wishes for pushchair testing as well

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2008 13:19

Ooops, just hoovered up Iggle Piggle's blanket. now I'm going to have to stand over the wheelie bin and empty the hoover bag into it and fish around in the dust and bits of cereal for it. I knew hoovering was a bad idea!

How are the chickens MHC? I am hankering after an eglu!

I did the travel system testing last year and am currently testing 6 travel systems for an article in the mag, so I'm not sure I'll be picked for pushchair testing again! There are so many catagories and loads of things in each catagory, that you are bound to get picked for something. It must take Jessica farking ages to send out the emails and choose testers. Jessica is really nice, she did it all last year too.

lackaDAISYcal · 16/06/2008 13:20

by the tone of her emails she sounds a bit frazzled to me holly.

When did you apply? I can't remember if it was before or after I got pregnant.....twin pushchairs would be a bloody great bonus for me

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2008 13:21

Here are last year's results.

Izzybel · 16/06/2008 13:22

Afternoon!
OMG! I've just looked at that 'sexual technics' thread and pmsl!

Izzybel · 16/06/2008 13:23

Happy Birthday baby Tallulahbelle!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2008 13:24

I'm sure she is daisy! It must take her a really long time and I bet it's a tedious, soul destroying task! She also has to collate the results in September as well and write up the rewards for the mag. It sounds like a crap job!

I can't remember when I applied either. I think it was probably before you got pg though I'm afraid.

lackaDAISYcal · 16/06/2008 13:28

fingers crossed for the reuseable nappies....might even be the new totsbots flexitots in there!

Happy Birthday Baby Tallulah!

Sputnik, glad your birthday celebrations went well.

I had a rude awakening this morning - the cat licked my nip! [ew!!!!!!!] very disturbing. Day not going much better since - mega soer throat, had 2+ hour meeting this morning, got another in half an hour, no time to go out to get lunch in between and sandwich vending machine broken. So am eating crisps and chocolate for lunch guilt free because that's all there is (OK I do have an apple from home)

OK, now off to check if I've been shortlisted for testing ...

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2008 13:36

I'm just going to sit here and keep refreshing my emails all day, I know I am! I can't help it! I wanna test more pushchairs...I think I have a problem!

Luckily my house is resonably tidy as I did lots of housework this morning and the dcs are watching In The Night Garden [bad mother emoticon}.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2008 13:37

Oh and ewww jammy! That's gross! I bet it smelt of milk and the cat thought it was going to get a sneaky drink!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/06/2008 13:39

I got emails about reusable nappies and toys. Like Daisy I bet I'm too late for the nappies, and I need to find other mums to share the toy testing, so unlikely to work out as I won't see the local mums I know until Thursday, and only got a phone number for 1 of them
