I hope I manage to do this right...I'll kick everything off with a roll call if it does.

Morning lovely ladies

Well, I couldn't wait any longer so I did my new Clear Blue Digital (applied for a free one through the mumsnet free trial thing), it said 'Not Pregnant'

Not sure how I feel, I think a little bit relieved that I don't have to 'deal' with being pregnant as well as the decorating but part of me also thinks that if I had of been we'd have just got on with it after about 2 minutes of worrying and would have been really happy about it... Probably best to wait till jan when it's more convienent.

How is everyone today?

LisaLessLumpy · 04/09/2008 10:47

Hi Dal

I'm ok thanks, dropped Sam off at nursery for the day and have been round the shops, just having brekkie now before putting Ben down for a nap and making a start on the housework what an exciting life we lead

@ not being preggers but just think if you wait till Jan at least you can enjoy a drink at Xmas

See you soon Inzi x

Dalrymps · 04/09/2008 11:03

Sounds like you've done more than me this morning.

I've fed Dylan breakfast, fed the dog, had my breakfast and given Dylan his bottle and put him down for a nap.

I'm now putting music on the ipod shuffle dh got me for mothers day - yes it has taken me this long! I'm hoping to use it when I go to the gym

Yeah, probably best to wait until Jan, I can sense myself thining up reasons just to go for it now cause i'm so impatient though, must control myself!

Back later x

HI ALL!

Yes Choc, I didnt finish my post the other day...I came back to the computer and got the screen of death [said in scary voiceover tone]Dh revived it when he came home but I haven't had chance to say much since..
my scrawl on the note pad says something like;
Dal glad the rash is being sorted, hope af arrives promptly so you can start the abs......it appears not [pondering/excited emoticon]
Strawberry Hi!Hope 1st day at work was not too bad....again it appears it has been fine
LLLWow at Bens mountaineering..I thought Alex was bad for that but he has only managed to get on top of his inflatable (about 18 very wobbly inches high )it is unbelievable that what seems like 5 mins ago you were as worried as Muppet about him being slower than some to get going! Must admit I dont envy you 2 dss so active I've got my work cut out keeping one out of mischief.
Stefka;Well done with the sleep. I'm so sorry about all the worries you have at the moment, Dhs work, bil, car crash etc etc...such a run of bad luck must be due to change and with life being "balanced" and all that the good times around the corner are going to be just fabulous I'm sure.
Alice Well done on getting Adam through to 5.30, I hope it has continued [FT wanders off day dreaming of the sweet, distant memory of sleep]
Muppet you made me cry...what an utterly lovely inscription to write in his book, it is something he will treasure for his whole life.

I'm glad all those returning to work have found it ok, and all those who have stroppy nappy changes, I'm soooo with you on that one (unfortunately) and those having days when feeding is bad and others when it is good...yeh, with you on that one too..there is no rhyme or reason to it..I try distractions and toys and singing and funny faces but if he is in a no eating mood whether it is finger food or soup, haute cuisine or a jar, the dog gets the lot! (usually on his head!)

For me it hasn't been the happiest week...Monday was the 2nd anniversary of losing Robyn, I thought I'd be ok now I've got my darling Alex (last year I was bad because he still hadnt arrived of course)but I wasn't...Alex has had a cold and his sleeping got worse again, ironically last night he slept like a log (well, relatively, for him)and only woke for bf at 1.30 and 4.30 before reveille at 6.45 but the dog (who normally sleeps for Britain and will happily cross his legs of 17 hrs rather than go out in the rain)got me up 4 times to be let out before I locked him in the utility room at 4am (where unfortunately he had an accident[guilty/bad dog owner emoticon])so I still didnt get a good nights sleep
I'm now going to be off line for just over a week as we are going to Cornwall (Padstow) with my mother and brother, and I need to get the packing done...I just hope the weather improves...

Oh and we are running out of space on this thread (15 or so posts to go) suggestions for a new title would be good. Mine, after all the food discussions we have been having is;

"This little piggie had loads of roast beef and This little piggie would have none of it!"

Liking the thread title suggestion Floria

Sorry you've been down this week what with the anniversary and all, i'm sure it's natural to still be affected by it, even though you've got Alex he's not a replacement and it has only been2 years. Be kind to yourself and get plenty of cuddles from dh and ds.

Hope you enjoy Cornwall, we did. make sure you eat lots of clotted cream ice creams for me Mmmmmmmmm.

LisaLessLumpy · 04/09/2008 12:47

Love that title Floria, I think we should go with it
Have a fab time in Cornwall, I really hope the weather gets a bit better for you. We had crap weather back in June though

Well considering today was supposed to be the best weather wise it ain't in Derby it is foul and it has gone cold too. My SiL is getting married on saturday and was going to go to the church in her dad's Morgan, looks like it will have to be the Range Rover if this weather keeps up. Plus I don't fancy wearing my nice summery outfit and satin pink sandals if it is pissing down

I was just going to pop to the HV's in the next few mins but it is absolutely siling it down

Anyhoo I guess I'll get my rain mac out and brave it.
