I hope I manage to do this right...I'll kick everything off with a roll call if it does.

Yeah chilli was lovely inzi, sleep well x

FloriaTosca · 26/08/2008 22:53

Sorry not to be here this afternoon, we had Alexs swimming lesson and then went to Mums for dinner. I have decided to ask mil to babysit the 3-3.30 here, then she can go home if she wants and I'll feed (& potty etc) Alex and take him to hers at 5.30 if she will bring him home for 7.30...though how I will concentrate on my pupils while worry what he is up to there I don't know.

Inzi; Jane is so good! Alex isnt content with just one drawer or cupboard, he pulls at every one of them trying to defeat the childproofers and having got everything out he would never dream of putting anything back!....am I rearing a future teenage delinquent?[worried emoticon]

Dal; I would love to meet up with you and J20 but it does seem a long way and a lot of money for you just to see us...I think a rethink is necessary

J20; is a raincheck on York ok with you? I know you wanted us to meet Leonie while she was still on school holidays, but perhaps we can arrange something for a weekend next time?

Dh is away and I've stayed up late again..I'd better get to bed or I'll be bog eyed tomorrow. Sleep well all.

Quickly - Dal, you can get pregnant if you ovulated - it's if you don't ovulate that you can't! So don't give up hope yet. But you told us about your accident a while before 22 Aug so I guess it is probably unlikely... However if you are wanting to be pregnant, why make yourself wait?

Seeing Alice and hopefully J20 later - am excited!!

More later.

FloriaTosca · 27/08/2008 08:31

Good morning All

Choc, Alice & J20 hope you all have a fab time.

Meant to say yesterday that Alex is pulling the funniest faces at the moment..either sticking his tongue out so far it is frightening (and causing ribald comments from Dh about future girlfriends )and the other is pouting his lips up to his nose like he's trying to balance a false moustache and then breathing down his nose noisily ...all we need is for him to start goosestepping as he marches up and down the living room!!!! Oh and following Inzis lead I thought I'd ask him where the ball was and hey presto off he went to get it he also goes and finds his hammer to play with his bashing toy on cue too...makes me wonder what other words he understands but can't say yet

morning all!!

Everyone beens very chatty recently

I'll have to catch up properly later, as dh is on holiday for 2 weeks and we have some family fun time' planned!! Yeah!

Muppet... we postponed our trip to Warwick castle to tomorrow..... did you go at the weekend? If so, what was it like??

Do they have somewhere to have picnics???

off to get dressed now

Dalrymps · 27/08/2008 09:22

Morning ladies

Choc - sorry, I wasn't very clear, my AF finished on 10th aug and we did the deed a few days after that, probably no later than 13th aug, then 9 days later (22nd aug) I ovulated. Iirc sperm can survive up to 5 days inside but no longer so there's not much chance. We did get jiggy another time in between the 13th and 22nd but can't remember what date and we were a lot more carefull.
I'm not that bothered really, just gettin impatient cause i'm excited by the idea. I just don't want to have morning sickness and be decorating the bathroom and kitchen and looking after Dylan. Also, i'm scared I won't be able to cope with a 18 month age gap, 23 months+ (what we're planning) feels more manageable although i'm probably kidding myself and it'll be just as hard!

Also, I know it's a silly thing to think but i'm a little worried that 'other people' will think i'm being irrisponsible getting pregnant so soon again. I imagine people will see me pushing Dylan around in town and think I got pregnant again by accident or that i'm just silly, I also imagine they'll think it's even worse than it is as Dylan looks about 3 months younger than he is . I' also worried pils will think the same, they are the lovliest people you could ever wish to meet and their oppinion means a lot to me. I want them to think i'm a responsible adult, not a silly child.

Ok, I am aware that I am babbling again and that most of what I just said is probably rubbish and fueled by my own insecurities

Anyway, got to go give Dylan his bottle, be back in a bit x

Dalrymps · 27/08/2008 09:50

I'm back
Floria - Lol at Alex's funny faces. Dylan pulls some very odd faces too, mil says he'll be a champion gurner (sp?). Sometimes he sticks his tongue in his bottom lip and blows so he looks like a baboon! He also sticks his tongue out very far .

Inzi - of your cuddls in bed, whenever I try to do this with Dylan he just wriggles as he wants to get up.

Mine - Hi! Wow, 2 whole weeks with your dh , Dh is going to try to take a week of when it's Dylans birthday, can't wait!

Off to put DYlan down for his nap, back later x

Stefka · 27/08/2008 09:51

Who cares what others thing Dalry. I know lots of people who want their babies really close together. My aunt did this and said it was great as they did everything as a little unit and the kids were really close.

I think I need to see the Dr myself as I have a constantly upset tummy these days. It's no fun. Really hard to get an appointment though so we shall see.

Enjoy your family time mine- it sounds lovely

Dalrymps · 27/08/2008 10:01

Yeah I suppose Stefka, I think I just have a bit of a complex about not wanting people to see/treat me like a child as my parents always did this and I hate it (one of the many, many reasons we aren't speaking).

Still think it'll be good to wait till Jan though just for decorating purposes...

Sorry you've got an upset stomach , hope you can get it sorted out, wonder what it can be? Try to get an appointment asap, you need to look after yourself x

Hello Apricot! I am not so organised atr writing everything down so can't now rememebr all news but I have been known to have 2 windows open at once so I can write as I read

Dal sod people thinking you're irresponsible and got pg by accident. None of their business if you did anyway.

Ummm Can't remember rest and now juggling cooking tea, MN and putting Sam to bed so best go! Might be back later and I can respond to everyone a bit calmer!

Oh just to say saw Choc and J2O today - it was fab to see them both! R is growing up quick and J2O looked very glam!

See you all later xxx

ChocolateHobnob · 27/08/2008 19:19

Harumph Aliuce for not saying I looked glam too!

(I certainly didn't!!! - and J20 certainly did).

It was lovely to see J20, and Adam. Rebecca was a bit grumpy and tired! Anyway time to get her off to bed, more soon.

Inzi- PMSL!!!!!

Dalrymps · 27/08/2008 19:23

Inzi - Thats very funny about the delivery man LOL!

Alicet - at you meeting up with choc and J20. I will have to come the Newc some time and meet up with you too, seems silly not to when it's so close, guess the weekends just keep flashing by, maybe when dh has his week off in oct?

Where's everyone else?

Went to get Dylan weighed today and he did ok considering the bug he had. He put on 6 and a half oz over 4 weeks, I was expecting him to have stayed the same so am pleased with that. He is now a massive 15lb 11oz he's a very cute little elf indeed.

Off to check on tea, hi to eveyone i've missed x

LisaLessLumpy · 27/08/2008 19:49

Hi honeys, I'm ho-ome!

Right just going to go back and catch up with what all you lovely ladies have been up to. I'm afraid I am not going to respond to everyone individually as I'll be here all night

Oh and I really need a holiday to get over this one, Ben has been exhausting and also ill for 3 days out of the 10. Oh and he has learnt to clap this morning and has been doing it all day with a huge grin on his face and has been absolutely golden all day which has been a pleasant change from the last week or so

Hello lisa! Glad you had a good holiday even if it's not exactly a relaxing experience any longer... Look forward to hearing all about it! And well done ben!

Dal yes we certainly must meet up. Berwick really isn't that far. You are welcome here anytime or CHoc and I could come to you? Or meet midway? Sure we can sort something out!

Choc I think being a good 10 years older than J2O and also with our respective children in tow we're just not going to manage glam are we?!

Anyway off to finish the dinner...x

muppetgirl · 27/08/2008 19:59

Dal- Henry?s birthday isn?t until 5th Nov and I have to keep remembering that when I hear of baby?s talking and crawling everywhere. I can understand your worries over Dylans? weight as I worry, although not seriously!, about Hen?s lack of enthusiasm about anything other than sleep, food or his family. I am hoping that Sept will, when Ollie goes to school, will make him a little more determined to get the toys around him for himself or at least enthuse him to get a bit more mobile. Brilliant news on the weight gain x

Mine ? Yes we went to Warwick castle and it was fab!!! Absolutely heaving with people but we saw the trebuchet being fired, jousting birds of prey, sword fighting and bowmen. We didn?t even go in the castle and we were there for 5 hours!! We used our buy on e get one free form Sainsbury?s tickets so it was good value to. There is loads of space inside the castle to have a picnic and the good things is they don?t mind you taking your own food. Can?t wait to go back again ?piccies on facebook (love your wedding ones too!)

Inzi ? LOLOLOLOL at your propositioning the Tesco?s delivery man! Bet you made his night

Well we had a lovely morning bumbling around in Hungerford. We like to do the charity shops (10p cars are fab for Ollie) have a picnic by the canal, feed the ducks and then pop in and see Granddad if he?s in (which he wasn?t today so we just used his parking space instead ) It was my last Ollie and me day as Henry will go back to just 2 days a week at nursery when Ollie goes to school.
I ran last night 7k in 45 mins so quite happy although I found it hard and was a bit slow as I?m knackered at the mo ?anyone else?
Tomorrow we?re off to have lunch with friends and then out to a lake with friends but they overlap so not sure what?ll happen there I?ve also got to then start packing for our camping trip on Friday which I am slightly dreading as I really don?t think Henry is going to go to sleep in a tent! Ho hum, any tips anyone?

Off to have a snuggle with dh on the sofa with a steaming mug of tea
Speak soon
xxxx

LisaLessLumpy · 27/08/2008 20:58

Blimey! its taken me 50 mins to catch up on this topic alone

As I said I will be here all night catching up with everyone individually but I would just like to say that I like the idea of the rfl meet up next year, or we could all just do a mums only meet up somewhere central with an overnight stay??? would anyone be interested??

Also no-one else seems to have picked up on alicet suggestion about 1st b'day pressies!!!! I really like the idea, anyone else?

Well my holiday was mostly fabulous, I didn't get as much time in the sun as I would have liked though as both boys are so pale and don't do full sun Ben has been a nightmare though. The apartment we stayed in was all marble floors and all Ben wanted to do was practice his crawling and walking he wouldn't sit still and play for more than one minute on the blanket we put down for him, but he cried whenever he crawled anywhere because the floors were so hard. He also learnt to pull himself up on everything the second day we were there so we were on tenterhooks every second as it would have bloody hurt him if he fell. He would also cry once he was stood up because he then couldn't get any further during the space of that week he has now got to the point of walking around the furniture and even letting go of one hand to cross spaces, i.e yesterday he went from the bath to the toilet to the foot bath each with just over a foot between them. He has also taken to pulling himself up, then turning round so its just his back resting on the chosen item and then trying to walk into the middle of the room luckily we have been there every time to catch him. I tell you, I'm bloody knackered at least he can do it on nice soft carpet now we are home. On the other hand he has been so knackered a couple of night he went to bed at 6.30 ish and was sleeping till 8.30am ish sorry choc and FT

He has been flirting with everyone he meets though with a huge grin and if they say anything to him he goes really shy and puts his head down it is so cute to see Once I have sorted out some pics I'll put them on my profile, I have some fab ones of the boys on the PiL's boat where we spent most of the holiday cruising around. ight I am off to bed I can hear DH huffing and puffing, bless him he has had no nookie for the whole time we have been away I have had thrush (sorry if tmi) and then been too knackered/too drunk to care I think he is hoping he will get some tonight, I really ought to comply but like muppetgirl said it really doesn't interest me at the moment Anyhoo, will catch up with you all tomorrow maybe, although I have loads of washing and ironing to do and we have had the aga turned off for the hol so I am going to make the most of it and scrub it clean tomorrow whilst it is cold night all xxx

muppetgirl · 27/08/2008 21:01

Oh yes LLL the 1st birthday pressie is a fab idea...

Was I meant to do something??

Dalrymps · 27/08/2008 21:16

Yeah, I like the 1st birthday pressie idea too! I meant to say before but just forgot!

J2O · 27/08/2008 21:36

omg you are all so chatty!
I so did not look glam! with my 50p Primark top on and my hangover, Alice and Choc always looks good, god knows how choc does it with 30 mins sleep a night! I had a lovely time catching up with them both, and meeting Sam, just wish i hadn't had to drive all the way home, i hate driving.

FT-i agree that theres not much point in meeting until more of us can go, although dissapointed.

Dal-i'm glad Dylan is doing well with his weight!

LLL-aww poor Ben, Shannon hates it when she can't crawl on the floor and sorry you didn't get much sun. lol at the flirting then shyness, Shannon does that too.

inzi-lmao @ delivery man
