all ok with dc, both playing happily, little blighters, trying to trick me into taking them home again dd even cried when i left her at preschool yesterday i wouldn't mind but she gets bored at home so it isn't like the crying is to do with me being great she was saying she wanted daddy, she loves daddy. He's off work next week especially for her bday so she'll be pleased. And we're off away for the weekend, to wait for it..................................Hastings pmsl, we like to travel far and wide when we get away

CaptainDippy · 06/06/2008 11:03

Yey Hastings!! Where are staying?? They are little blighters - I tend to jump "dump 'em and run" when I drop them off at nursery or pre-school

Yes, K does a whole term of finishing at 12, which is a total PITA.

CaptainDippy · 06/06/2008 11:03

jump should say "just"

Eddas · 06/06/2008 11:11

that's what i have been doing, but the crying is horrible oh well they'll be ok

that's a long settling in time. They don't think about working parents when they decide these things. I know some of the children are little but it's a pita for planning around work. With my dd she'll be fulltime by the end of the first half term. Not that the school have said but some of the preschool mums have older dc so i've bee asking. They also do 2 intakes so if born 1 Spet to 30 April they start in sept and after they start in Jan. If they are a 1 sept to 31 dec bday they start fulltime straight away

Eddas · 06/06/2008 11:13

oh and we're staying at haven. We saved the tokens from The Sun so are doing a 'cheap' weekend away

CaptainDippy · 06/06/2008 11:22

Sound like a fab time away Eddas, good for you!

Thanks Luce

Sexonlegs · 06/06/2008 12:34

Hi all, just popping in before collecting K from nursery.

MJ, hope you are ok. I can't believe they won't just get on and operate rather than patching you up with yet more painkillers. xx

Dippy, sorry to hear you are feeling blue.

Ikewym re dd1. As it was drawing close to B heading to school, I felt very down. In fact on the last day of preschool, I embarrassingly cried

As Luce says, it really doesn't take long for them to settle and establish a new set of friends. B only knew 1 boy vaguely that was going to the same school as her, and I was v worried. No need thankfully.
It is the end of a chapter, but the start of a new and exciting one. xx

Runny, I am so sorry you are feeling so down. Hugs to you, and please keep coming on mn.

Hope everyone else is ok. Back to reality here - washing load number 3, and have cleaned the oven, hoovered the house and cleaned the bathrooms!

Better head. See you later. xx

oooggs · 06/06/2008 13:29

dts are doing really really well at night both sleeping 7pm - gone 7am (have to be woken for nursery) right through (even Jack)

sol - yu domestic goddess

luce - I always miss you on mumsnet - we pass during the day

dippy - sorry you are low

Eddas · 06/06/2008 13:39

NorthernLurker · 06/06/2008 13:57

hi all

knackered today - was out quite late at the SATC film. B is rather off colour, very sleepy and clinigy but not too hot or seeming in pain. Hope she's better for her party tomorrow!

Nothing else to report really except we got loads done in the house yesterday which is very pleasing

sorry - can't remember much from my scan of the thread - hope everyone is ok

bonjour

NorthernLurker · 06/06/2008 14:24

Hi GMM (and Luce of course) - how is C?

geordieminx · 06/06/2008 14:37

No chicken pox, loaded with cold but seems to be on the mend.

Apologies for not being around the last week - its been manic - 3 days at mums last week, up to Aberdeen for a wedding at the weekend, then poorly boy this week. I cancelled his injections yesterday as I thought it would just wipe him out completely!!

NorthernLurker · 06/06/2008 14:39

B's been off colour since her injection last week so I think you made a good decision there.

StealthPolarBear · 06/06/2008 16:03

MJ really hope you are feeling better xx

SOL Yes it is ds1, and I am glad you enjoyed your trip

Eddas have a great time away

Had my haircut today for the first time in 3 years! Had about 4 inches off and had it feathered around my face a bit.... Did anyone else have loads of hair fall out after pg? I lost loads, and she said today that I have loads of new growth coming through so next time i might have it layered, but it is all thin and horrible atm....

Also went to look around the high school for ds1, but when I went to put the dc in the car we had a flat tyre!!!!!

Luckily dh was with me, and he changed it, but I had to ring and say we would be late - not a great 1st impression really is it? anyway the head teacher seems really nice, and he said to ring whenever if i have any questions. he said that there is a mimibus that it might be possible for him to go on, which sounds better than the bus, and he can go to a transfer day on the 1st of July

I feel for you pg ladies feeling tired xx

oh and My Dad is on his way home as we speak!

StealthPolarBear · 06/06/2008 16:15

excellent caz - I wasn't around to post but i know you were very stressed about it

He did nothing but whinge all the way round Tesco this morning, empitied the fridge and tried his best to break the tv. I've made him 3 different things or his tea and he wont eat any of them... meaning he will be up at 5.30am tomorrow morning again - like this morning cos he's hungry.... ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

StealthPolarBear · 06/06/2008 17:52
