Lucky poor dd glad she feeling better , won't be the first or last bump she has tell dp !
Both dd and ds fell off their change table, we haven't got one for dd2 but she managed to fall off the couch the other day!

Susie thanks thought she was a bit quiet!

Well dd has been in a real bad mood today, really grizzly and generally unhappy. Not sure why she seems a little off her milk too as my breasts feel really full tonight and usually they are empty at this time so hope she not coming down with anything! Might be teeth

Lilyloo - my DD been a bit unhappy today too. I think in her case its the weather. She finds it hard to sleep when its warm. She only slept for 15 mins this afternoon in a 5 hr period!! She went to bed at 6 TOTALLY knackered!!Might mean a good night for me though fingers X.

AngeChica · 28/06/2008 20:32

Hi, has just taken me nearly an hour to settle DS which is really unusual these days. I also think it is because it is a very warn evening. He is just in a vest and lightweight grobag for the first time (up here in the north!)...

(digs into long awaited glass of rose and weightwatchers ice cream pudding...) Phew!

Feeding thread - I know !! they are patrolled by some v opinionated people to put it mildly. There are a couple of genuine feeding experts who do post there regularly though if you really need help and usually give advice that is not too judgmental.

Glad DD is OK Lucky. happy birthday for tomorrow xx

lilyloo · 28/06/2008 20:35

LOL at Ange with wine and ww ice cream
It has actually stopped raining here keep watching wimbledon and very at the weather , although warmer here too!

PS madmouse - grr! An old dear in the post office told me to take DS's socks off the other day as his feet would be too hot. . I know I hate confrontation and often re-run incidents like that in my mind to imagine how I could have handled it better. But by the next day the upset fades a bit so hope you are feeling better about it today.

simpson · 28/06/2008 21:54

Hope weather nice tomorrow as got the school fete for where DS is starting in Sept. Lets hope he doesn't persuade me to buy lots of crap!! Then he is being taken swimming by my mum and brother.

DD has been given a fab swimming costume by people next door their DD 3 mths older but I don't think she really knows who my mum/brother is so she will stay with me. I HATE swimming so not going!!She will get to wear it when we are on holiday in August.

Tried to get pics of DD done today as photographer was in our local supermarket but she had just fallen asleep so didn't bother. She woke up when we had just left the shop 15 mins later though!!

LuckySalem · 28/06/2008 21:59

Hey all,

I hate BB but have you seen todays' papers? Apparently the gay dancer has been kicked out for spitting and (Dale?) has threatened to kill someone so they're gonna have to cancel the series!! So funny.

Well DD is asleep and none the worse for wear apart from a graze on her head and a small bruise.

I've decided I am no longer to live in a shitehole of a house. I've been waiting for DP to help me decorate DD's room and sort the spare room out (You can't get in there for junk) but it's been going on since I was pg with DD so it's not gonna change.

It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm actually quite sad cos nothing special is happening and i'm not even really getting any presents as apparently now I've had DD I shouldn't be expecting anything. DP says he's getting me something from Tesco's (which I knew was gonna happen)

Im gonna ring the hairdresser's on Monday to arrange an appointment i'm so excited. I don't know what to do with it though, I feel like getting it cut really short but don't think my face will take it. I know I want some colour though.

Ok i've rambled enough....lol

hi all completely tired out dh away for 5 days with work and last night my best mate drove up from devon with son 2 and daughter 8 weeks. so early up although charlie slept til 8.15 then had 2 other friends over today with son age 2 daughter 14 weeks and other friend daughter age 3 weeks - so 6 children under 2 - oh my word what a bsuy day

i am going to my mums tomorrow and spending our first night away from home so have just had to get everything ready and pack up car so didnt sit down til 20 mins ago.

am sure we will have an accident too as although no rolling here i often leave her a minute on changing table settee etc

also have to stay up for dream feed - although last night charlie wasnt as keen to take it and only took 4oz so will keep an eye would be lovely to drop it. friend with 14 week old has dropped it and going 7-7.

ignore other people - the mum normally knows best

gingeme · 28/06/2008 22:07

Good evening ladies.
Wow what a week you lot have had with nosey biddies at shopping and trips to A&E.
We have been busy too decorating our hall way. Took alot more doing than we first expected so I havn't been able to post .
We had a trip to A&E Thursday night too with George, or should that be dh did. He has had a nasty cough for quite a few weeks. Took him my Mums gp last Monday as he was actualy losing his voice. She said he was fine and to give him Calpol if need be.
All was fine and if anything he seemed to be on the mend. Put everyone to bed at 7 as usual at 7 Thursday night. I went to bed at 11 and thought George was breathing very strangely. Hard to explain it but it sounded a bit like a stuck cough. Dh took him to A&E where a triage nurse checked him and said he sounded ok but he could see the doc anyway. Dh sat for an hour by which time George was asleep so he bought him home. Friday he was fine and not coughing at all
Anyway alls well here. Hall is finnished but still stinks of horrid gloss paint.
Thanks to all that missed me
Sorry I havn't done any personals and realy hope you are all well. Will try to post a bit more this week though we were going to make a start on the kitchen next.

simpson · 28/06/2008 22:08

simpson · 28/06/2008 22:15

lilyloo - are you talking about the one where 2 men looked like pedophiles (sp??) - If so yeah I did. Quite funny though!! Must look out for men in dirty macs (in blazing hot weather!)

gingeme · 28/06/2008 22:26

Thankyou lillyloo

AngeChica · 28/06/2008 22:28

Not sure what's wrong with DS tonight but he's really unsettled. He never wakes through the evening anymore but tonight he has woken up twice already. We had a terrible night last night with lots of awakenings. This is typical as DH is away!

Today was the first day I gave him 3 meals and he's had loads of milk but he keeps giving me his hunger cue cry (he does a choking cry) ... am giving v watered down formula as he gets cross when I try and fob him off with water. I also noticed he had what looked like a little blister on his bottom, presuming this is a touch of nappy rash? Can it disturb their sleep that much? have applied Metanium.

Am trying to watch the Glastonbury footage between wailings, Amy Winehouse is in a bad way by the look of it. I used to go loads when I was younger, the pre telly days were thebest I think!

lilyloo · 28/06/2008 22:29

Luck sorry no dp has used our email to set himself up !

Simpson yeah that one

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 28/06/2008 22:30

Hmmmm, I don't know how to do it, Oh... what about if I email you? I'll give you my email address first, you email me and i'll email you a pic?

lilyloo · 28/06/2008 22:30

Ange you may find the nappy rash/sore bum linked to teething !!!

OP posts:
simpson · 28/06/2008 22:32

Gingeme - missed your post sorry!! Glad decorating going well. Sorry to hear George not been well glad he is over the worst of it!!Fingers X.

Mrs BakersGirl - not a BB fan but after what Lucky posted am curious. What is happening? Spill??

lilyloo · 28/06/2008 22:32

Course you can but don't want to be responsible if it goes wrong would rather be part of a collective Jan 08 decision

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 28/06/2008 22:33

Ange - Nappy rash can be very painful. DD had a couple of fairsize blisters a couple of weeks after she was born and I think that contributed alot to the amount of crying we had. I left her nappy off for most of the day for a couple of days and she was ok then.

Gingme - Don't stay away too long please.

LuckySalem · 28/06/2008 22:34

Lilly - my email is jenny_cranwell @ hotmail .co .uk. If you can post it on your MN pics for a day or something then we can get a collective opinion?

simpson · 28/06/2008 22:36

Angechica - hope DS settles for you tonight and you get reasonable amounts of sleep.

lilyloo · 28/06/2008 22:37

Lucky mailed you will try

OP posts:
gingeme · 28/06/2008 22:41

Best thing for nappy rash, George has it quite bad at the moment, is fresh air. Keep them nappyless for about half hour twice a day. Not only will they enjoy having the freedom of no nappy but it gives you a good excuse to bite their bum
Metanium cream is fab and Calpol if it gets too bad. Good luck.
