Hello, cocodebear, I do indeed remember you and it's lovely to have you back! Several of us on here kept wondering what had happened, so I'm sure we're all really relieved to hear that things are going so well for her and you! Fabulous news. So you are back, you have to stay now

thanks, oli, v.much appreciated!

lennied, don't even THINK about posting again tonight (stern voice...)

LenniEd · 03/06/2008 21:35

not even a little tiny post.... I'm dying to say how cute Eli's DD sounds with her 'but look at me, I'm still little' ... Ok then I won't post I've almost finished now - honest....

CocodeBear · 03/06/2008 21:37

thanks AQ! .

Haven't read the threads, but will try and catch up with everyone's news as I go.

Hope everyone's little ones are thriving and happy.

DD2 has developed a real temper (terrible twos early?) and shouts 'NOOOOOO' at regular intervals throughout the day (eg in response to: would you like an apple? or, give that back to your sister or, lie down so i can change your nappy etc etc.)

Elibean · 03/06/2008 22:16

Hurrah, CocodeBear, its v good to hear your news and welcome back!! FWIW, my dd (not the cute one who says she's little, btw, that would be Oli's ) has only just taken her first steps and is still lurching, Frankenstein-like, a few feet with arms outstretched, at a run, before collapsing in a heap. So your dd is in good ocmpany

LenniEd, get to work, woman!

Jabber, relieved to see you've negotiated move successfully, congratulations and good luck with the work part

dd2 still not spotty (keep those fingers up, Indith...) but was baby from hell this evenings, so...

Elibean · 03/06/2008 22:17

..and she's got a cough...

Though shouting 'NOOOOO' and 'MIIIIINE' at intervals is not unheard of in the Elibean house these days, either!

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 03/06/2008 22:25

LOL at mini-oli.

Ah Coco - I don't think we posted at the same time but the ohter long termers on this thread missed you. IIRC your dds name began with an "H". Glad to see you've returned and that your dd is well!

OP posts:
EustaciaVye · 03/06/2008 22:33

Hi Coco ! It's FGS here - sorry I havent emailed you for ages but I am just a bit rubbish at it.

Awful day here. My HSC DD1 is flipping out at the slightest thing atm and I am hoping it is post-viral tiredness after her pox

DD2 was meant to start swimming lessons but is full of cold so we had to cancel.

Night all.

Oh, and LenniEd - get back to work!!!

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 03/06/2008 23:17

Oli - I won't clog up your other thread - but I hope you're able to get some help for your Dsis.

OP posts:
jabberwocky · 03/06/2008 23:48

Coco! I'm so glad you're back and that dd2 is doing well.

lol at oli's dummy fairy story.

FGS, my hsc is doing much better since we cut out dairy. Its' kind of a hassle but every day that goes well gives me the strength to continue.

Very slow at the office today. Good for getting things organized but I'm hoping for more business to come.

castlesintheair · 04/06/2008 13:34

Welcome back Coco. I've often wondered about you and your wee one. So pleased to hear she is doing well

EustaciaVye · 04/06/2008 17:51

Has anyone here requested to be a member of the facebook group?

accessorizequeen · 04/06/2008 20:25

jabber, i didn't meant to ignore your much anticipated return to us glad it's all as you hoped and I'm sure the work will pick up even though you wanted it to be quiet today!

Coco, is that you trying to join us on fb? I remember your dd's name too, I really like it (trying to think of names for my dt's due in Sept at the mo, one of each. In case you missed Indith and Lennied also up t'duff

right off to desperate housewives!

LenniEd · 04/06/2008 20:34

I really ought to request to join EV but I've no idea how and so it can't be me.

Am all packed and leaving for the airport at 2am tonight! Can't decide whether to bother going to sleep or not. Am thinking yes at the moment. Have a lovely couple of weeks everyone, hope the lovely weather holds up. Speak to you all on the 19th - when I will be asking for a succinct summary of events, 'cos I'll never catch up!

And Oli, also noticed your thread on DSis - well I couldn't post in here last night so had to browse the outside world - I hope you manage to get it all sorted for her.

Indith · 04/06/2008 20:35

Hope you've been behaving Lennied

Jabber! I forgot to say hello to Jabber all in her new home! I swear I need a pen and paper when I read the thread to note down what to say.

Coco So pleased to see you back, you have indeed been much missed and in our thoughts. So pleased to hear that she is doing well Lovely pictures too.

Oli that is very cute

Ds still grumpy and all getting over his cold, I am wiped out yet again, thankfully ds had a nap today as I was literally collapsing so I went to sleep too then dp who was working from home came in to put washing away (WTF?) and woke me up He is now in the bath as he has the cold man flu and has spent the day sniffling, moaning and having to be reminded that he would feel a whole lot better if he actually took the sudafed that has been mocking me from the bedside table.

We have tantrums in this house too, he can't half throw things with some force when he in angry!

Indith · 04/06/2008 20:37

2am! Have a lovely holiday.

babypowder · 04/06/2008 20:56

Coco How we've missed you! Glad to hear that your darling DD is doing well

CocodeBear · 04/06/2008 22:28

Why have you name-changed FGS? I've been crap re e-mail too, after kids and MNing there's no time, and my e-mails just languish in my inbox .

Thanks everyone, it's nice to be back on the thread. I need to put some more recent pics on my profile, those are from last summer (when DD2 used to SLEEP. HAH! those days are long gone sadly.)

What facebook group?

and what is HSC?

Oh, and yes margo, that's right, it does begin with an H, though we've shortened her proper name as it sounded a bit kind of posh and victorian.

Elibean · 04/06/2008 22:37

Oooh, bon voyage, Lennied

EV, I could have typed exactly same thing re dd1 - I think it IS postviral-infuriating-syndrome, the pale face and violet circles under eyes aren't her norm. But OH give me strength! She was just getting less mercurial, then half term finished and three mornings of pre-school seem to have sent her nose-diving again.

Still no spots on dd2, though. I thought today was it - she slept for 2.5 hours after lunch, refused to be woken at all, then was bright as a button and practising walking with great shouts of 'yeay, wow, yeay' till 8pm

I'm knackered.

Sleep well all

Elibean · 04/06/2008 22:38

Indith, the way your post reads....who is having the tantrums? ds or dp?

Elibean · 04/06/2008 22:39

And, especially hope you have a good night - sounds like you could use one.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/06/2008 23:43

Have a lovley time Lennied

OP posts:
EustaciaVye · 05/06/2008 07:39

oooh Lots of posts.

Coco - I just felt like a name change. I'd been FGS a while and a RL friend recently mentioned she had discovered MN. I dont think she knew I was on it but I dont want to be discovered really.

I will go and find your last email and then invite you to be a facebook friend. Then we can get you on our secret facebook group.

HSC - is Highly Sensitive Child. It is a term for kids who are extremely sensitive to lots of things like physical, smells, emotions etc. There is a book all about it which basically made me realise my DD1 wasnt just being infuriatingly anal and touchy about things, she just feels things a bit differntly. I am the same actually.

Eli - No offence but glad your DD is being a nightmare too. Its driving me to distraction here. Lots of under-breath FFSs from me

Indith - hope all is calm in the house today.

And LennieD - have a nice time.

Elibean · 05/06/2008 14:30

EV, me too

She's more weepy than pissy today (see, my language is deteriorating daily) but equally frustrating. I am beginning to hope dd2 doens't get it after all

Still no spots. Should open a book, methinks.

jabberwocky · 05/06/2008 15:02

Happy vacation lennied.

Indith, I too am wondering who the tantrum thrower was, lol. Hope today is better for you.

Ds2 is adding new words all the time now. I do really like this stage. Having said that I just took a pen away from him as he was marking on the kitchen cabinets, noticed he had dropped the piece of bagel he was eating on the floor, offered him strawberries instead. He pulled a bottle of mustard out of the fridge when I opened it to get said berries and now he is pushing the box with the plate on it around the kitchen. THis all in about 2 minutes...

Had a long-awaited girl's night out last night to see the Sex and the City movie and then a light dinner. Got home to ds1 having some sort of screaming fit . I guess he will always be a challenge.

castlesintheair · 05/06/2008 15:56

I got that request to join too EV. I see they have now become a member of our facebook group. Hello, whoever you are Actually there are a couple on there I don't 'know'. Do we need a little update on the identity thing or does noone really use facebook? I use it loads. I've just hooked up with two old school pals which is fantastic.

I'm just clocking in before I rush out again. My life is one big whirl

DD2 tumbled down my friend's stairs earlier today but luckily I caught her before she reached the bottom. Made my heart go pitter patter.

Elibean, I was in your neck of the woods today. When are we going to meet up?? I went to that gorgeous Orange Pekoe place. DD1 especially loved the checked strawberry cake
