Loopy, snazzy pushchair! Yes it's been bloomin' hot today hasn't it!!

Sarah - why have you changed your name to greedygirl? Ellie is still waiting for her teeth and hasn't rolled on her own yet. She'll do it when she's good and ready, i guess.

LOM - sorry, didn't get round to posting the DVDs today, had a mad one on this afternoon. Will deffo do them tomoz.

Sam - hello, nice to see you again! Dont know anything about babies abroad i'm afraid. We cant afford a holiday at the mo! Hope you find something fab tho, and dont forget plenty of sun block!!

Ellie slept from 8pm til 6am last night!! I expect it was a fluke tho, so i'm not holding out for another night like that!

Hello ladies

Well I've had a tough working week - one whole day!! And the weather is so gorgeous that I'm loving that I'm not back at work till next Thursday

RG - v impressed with WW. I had chinese for dinner tonight! (though I did do a 6km run this evening in aid of the british heart foundation - I say run, I probably walked at least a third of it!!)

choc - I had to go out in the sun with William to buy the suncream! We had some but I took it nursery and left it there yesterday. We don't have a parasol either as I find them annoying, so he had a hat pulled over his face!

Early night for me I think, I'm exhausted.

RGPargy · 07/05/2008 21:49

Loopy - sorry!!!

Jet - i think after your 6k run you are well entitled to a chinese!!! "Run" just isn't in my vocabulary i'm afraid!

Very quiet on here today. I'll bet sunbathing is to blame.

My Patapum arrived today and I have say - ITS BRILLIANT. Very comfy and supportive and easy to use. Thanks for putting us on to them Loopy. XX

Choc - It supports T up to just below his should blade . So although he's facing in, he can still move about side to side really easily.

Rg - Congrats on a goodnight - long may it continue.
I lookforward to weekend heroes-athon

My lard bucket boy is getting through a 125g jar of veg puree twice a day plus most of a small jar of fruit puree. That's after 3-5 oz of formula. I'm in no way force feeding him, he's loving it, it just seems like rather a lot.

Morning everyone!!

Well, i'm not one to boast but for the third night in a row Ellie has slept through!!!! Brilliant, eh?!! I'm not boasting tho, honest.

LOM - You should get Heroes today, posted them yesterday first class.

Loopy - You need help for your carrying addiction lol.

One of my Wednesday lunch mums is having a garden party today so i'm going to be off later to the swaray (sp?!) to sit in the garden drinking a white wine spritzer, what what!!

Enjoy your days, ladies!!

RG- Very cosmopolitan. Sounds like the perfect way to spent a sunny afternoon.
Ta for the DVds.

A very expensive digital radio we got for wedding pressie stopped working last night We got it from John Lewis so I called their cust servs and they are sending out a new one. No questions. I'm amazed. I'm just glad it broke with a month to go on the warranty.

Off to practise back carrying with a large teddy.

littleoldme · 09/05/2008 17:41

HellOOOOOoooooooo.......

Greedygirl · 09/05/2008 19:40

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I have been striding around outside because the sun is shining and Adam has finally decided he likes his pushchair, yippee! Patapum sounds great, does T like it? T doesn't sound like he is going to be a fussy eater!

RG - re Ellie sleeping thru, isn't it bliss when it happens and long may it last. Adam had a dream feed at 10, woke up at 12 for a top up, squawked at 4 just in case I was enjoying myself too much then up at 6 chirping away in his cot. How was the garden party? Not to be outdone my DH got the afternoon off work and we had vodka and tonics in the garden, gorgeous. I changed my name cos I fancied a change and greedy is an apt description of me at the mo I cannot stop eating, I am constantly ravenous! Mind you HRH is feeding a lot. Just hope I can stop when he stops bfeeding!

Have a good evening everyone x

Hi everyone!

It's been very quiet on here over the last few days, hasn't it!

The garden party was good thanx! We stayed in the shade for the entire afternoon so thankfully we didn't get too hot but it was still VERY warm!

Ahhh the good ol' baby walker!! DS LOVED his when he was young so i will deffo be getting DD one too! What age can they use it from?

Great news about going back to work!! DP and i have come to a compromise about going back full time. I can now go back 3 days a week instead of 5, but instead of it being for 6 months, it'll be for 9 months. A good compromise i think!

Greedygirl · 11/05/2008 08:51

Rg - great news and great compromise. What days will you be working? I am going to be working Monday, Tuesday definately but the other day depends on my timetable. If I could work Mon, Tues, Wed that would be fabio.

Loopy - how long can you babywear for? Will you get withdrawal symptoms do you think?! Must be a great workout too. The sunshade for the carrier sounds v.cute, picture please.

I just love, love, love this weather, my mood has really lifted this week. Unfortunately the developers on our estate are still building and decided to put in some overtime yesterday . As soon as they stopped someone else started up with their lawnmower .

BTW now Adam has teeth should I be brushing them?

jetgirl · 11/05/2008 17:25

hello all!

While you were all relaxing on Friday I was on a double decker bus being driven by my MIL!! It was her birthday present - she's always wanted to drive one, and we got to be passengers. William decided he was hungry so I had to feed him during the journey - one of the weirdest places I've bf that's for sure! We stayed in a lovely hotel in Louth, Lincolnshire. The staff were brilliant at dinner, though the breakfast staff treated the guests like we were an inconvenience.

RG - great news about your work, I bet you're relieved.

greedygirl - my inlaws' next door neighbour decided to start pressure washing his entire garden early this am - ridiculous. It's good start brushing teeth as early as possible so they get used to it. At nursery the other week all the children were given toothbrushes and toothpaste during a visit from an oral hygiene specialist, so William's all kitted out!

littleoldme · 11/05/2008 17:33

RG- Glad you've come to a happy arrangement re your work . I'm enjoying Heroes. I've only watched one episode though as the weather's been so great.

Loopy - mmmm maybe you should consider professional assisitance for your gadget addiction

Jet My MIL can hardly drive her car, never mind a bus.

Greedy - i know what you mean. Everything seems better when the sun's out.

We've a lovely weekend at home. Yesterday I read my my book and fell asleep on the lawn. T'was fab.

Right - off to wash muashed veg off my neck.

RGPargy · 11/05/2008 18:18

Greedygirl - I will be (hopefully) working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I'd rather just go in and get it out of the way and have a nice long weekend! Oh and i was hoovering at 6.30am today lol!! My justification tho is that i had to hoover the conservatory and as it's all made of plastic it's like a sodding oven in there in teh summer and you just cant do anything in there, let alone hoover!

Teeth - i would say yes, do it asap!

Jet - LOL @ the double decker bus! How absolutely fabulous!! It's horrible when the hotel treat you like you shouldn't actually be there, isn't it. They're there to give you a service, after all!

LOM - glad you're enjoying Heroes. Let me know if there's any problems with the DVDs.

PILs came round this afternoon and gave us their old garden furniture with parasol so now i wont have to be hiding indoors all the time (i dont do sunshine lol) as i can sit under the brolly instead!

Gonna think about doing dinner soon. JAcket spud i think!

Enjoy the evening everyone.

Yes Loopy, outdoor weaning could be the way to go! Google won't let me access that link for some reason. Anti baby-wearing spyware!

Jetgirl - Louth not too far from us, how come you were up here? What a fab MIL, mine would have a duck fit if she had to do anything like that!

RG - hoovering at 6.30?! Wow, what a domestic goddess. Hoovering is not quite the same as building works or lawn mowing so I won't nominate you for "neighbours from hell" just yet .

Have spent all day thrusting my boobs at poor DS because he has now finished his growth spurt but I haven't quite made the mental adjustment and can't believe he only wants a quick top-up. Got the message now though .

Out in the garden again today. News flash - grass keeps growing back! Think I might go off this gardening malarkey.

Lovely sunshade thing, Loopy!

Greedy - So glad i'm not on your nominations list hehe.

Oh and grass. Yes. We have some of that stuff too! In one week, it's gone bloody bananas and DP cut the back grass today! He's done so much this weekend, bless him, and i feel like i've just sat on my arse doing nothing. Trouble is i absolutely hate the heat so i'm practically glued indoors and deffo dont go near the conservatory in this heat! I'm going to get some dustsheets tomorrow so that we can hang them up across the roof (on the inside, obviously!) which will hopefully deflect some of the heat. It's ridiculous, honestly! The washing machine is out there in the "utility area" and it goes funny if you try and use it during the bad heat!

Off to bed now. Sleepy vibes to everyone!

LOM - my MIL hates turning right, and is not known for being the most confident driver, however she took to bus driving brilliantly!

greedygirl - we went to the Manby motorplex where MIL did the bus driving experience. I'd never been to that area of the country before, we thought it was very pretty and would like to go back again some day.

RG - I was thinking about jacket spuds tonight too, with cheese and salad - nice and easy and hardly any washing up!
It was like a different hotel at breakfast - I don't think the waitress liked getting up early, and I think we sat at the wrong table - though they weren't labelled or anything! At dinner all the staff were cooing over William and DD - who flirted shamelessly with one of the waiters! It was quite a fancy restaurant, but we felt totally welcome, and the kids' menu was as good as the adults' one.

Gotta go DD is trying to type f\or me\
