Happy birthday to Joshua
thanks for all the birthday wishes for Danny, we had a lovely afternoon which lasted a bit longer than I expected - some of us were still there after 6 pm. I think dp and I could do with a little time with each other. I still felt very upset about last night and anxious about today this morning, but although things were different from what I expected it all worked out quite well, I think most of the people who turned up had a nice time.
A couple of local mumsnetters with babies came together and gave up when rain spotted for about 10 minutes, they headed for the cafe and didn't reappear, but hey, I expect they had each other's company in the park and hopefully we'll catch up with each other at a less crazy moment.
My friend R from Jolly Babies made it, with baby, husband and step-dcs in tow - it was nice to see how her ds has come on in the last couple of months - and apparently the group has found a way of continuing at the same place and same day. I got the feeling that she was pleased to be invited and she wants to keep in touch, which is nice.
We also saw a couple of other people who I haven't seen for years and years.
