hope you make loads sol

I'm off to bed, have managed to eat a big bag of peanut m&ms - withut even noticing

Sexonlegs · 02/05/2008 21:46

Oooggs, pmsl!

If we sell everything, we should make at least 200 pounds!

Sleep well

geordieminx · 02/05/2008 21:46

SPB - did the ironing once C had gone to bed (6.45) - cant do it while he is around - he tries to scale the board like its the north face of the Igor...

StealthPolarBear · 02/05/2008 21:54

The incredible vomiting baby is asleep, incredibly!

StealthPolarBear · 02/05/2008 21:55

Yes, what is the obsession with climbing?

geordieminx · 02/05/2008 21:57

You know I think T and C were separated at borth... or perhaps its the geordie gene.... favourite hobbies - climbing, pressing buttons (dvd tv) and banging on things, emptying drawers and cupboards and pulling wipes out of packet.

StealthPolarBear · 02/05/2008 22:02

Oooh yes he loves emptying things (inc tissue boxes) and banging on things.

StealthPolarBear · 02/05/2008 22:02

If you're lucky when you go to blow your nose you get a nice dry tissue that hasn't been crumpled and sucked

Doobydoo · 02/05/2008 22:04

at last lot of posts. I have scoffed 3 bags of square crisps and 3/4 bottle of wineTHink I type better after alcohol.
Oh spb I didn't realise T still poorly.
Why don't you all move nearer to me I really think that would be a good idea.
WE are doing what lots of people do on a bank holiday monday and are going out...to a fab wildlife park[hurrah].Just thinking re babies and not sleeping. We have a flat toy that we got M for Christmas[called Flattie]and it stays in his cot and M loves him,and loves holding him in bed.and even when he wakes yelling and I go in and pick him up..I say oh have you woken flattie?and he wants to cuddle down in cot again!I know it sounds bonkers but it is working so far.Anyway trying to get argumentative ds1 to bed.so I will say Goodnight to you all.

weeonion · 02/05/2008 22:08

dooby - remind where you are again? i am going over to enniskerry wicklow soon to see a pal and ooh and aah over her new pfb. are you close to that?

Doobydoo · 02/05/2008 22:09

We are in co.waterford prob about 2 and a half hours away. When you coming over.[excited emotion]

StealthPolarBear · 02/05/2008 22:13

Dooby, no, sorry he's not still ill, thankfully! It's just more of an ongoing nickname
T has a flattie too which he ignores, he seems to have no attachment to any of his toys (apart from the ones that make lots of noise or hurt when you stand on them)

Doobydoo · 02/05/2008 22:18

Phew for that SPB
at the toys.
You have to MAKE him like his Flattie
I am supposed to be going to bed.
M has decided to scream...When he is tired, when he wants a drink, when he dosen't want one, when he wants to watch bear in the big blue house etc....Bloody unreasonable
I have tried signing with him[am trying]as it supposedly relieves babies frustration re communication

StealthPolarBear · 02/05/2008 22:25

oh dear
Does signing include shhing him? I do lots of that. How can I make him like his flattie? Maybe put it somewhere dangerous - then he'll be desperate to hold it!
Anyway, after that ramble, night all x

Doobydoo · 02/05/2008 22:26

Goodnight all.

geordieminx · 03/05/2008 06:31

Morning ladies.

Well so far this morning I have

stripped and washed 2 loads of bedding
emptied and defrosted the freezer
washed the kitchen floor.

Not, unfortunatley because I am a domestic goddess....because C has been up most of the night, managed to cover our bed and the spare in projectile vomit. Get that cleaned up, come downstairs and realise the freezer door has been open most of the night..... open the drawer to see what is occuring... an entire tub of Baileys ice cream drips onto the floor...

HAPPY DAYS!!!

Sexonlegs · 03/05/2008 07:23

Morning.

Oh no GM. Not a good start to the weekend

geordieminx · 03/05/2008 07:27

he's just been sick again - justbile though, should i hold off giving him his bottle?

mamiguay · 03/05/2008 08:45

Hello! Not had time to catch up but read this page - how funny that you´ve just thought of me liath! Speak of the devil and all that..

Work has kept me ridiculously busy so not even time at lunch to pop on and see you all. All a bit stressful really but ´tis the nature of it. N is doing great, he had a fab party with fab cupcakes and all was enjoyed very much by everyone (or so they said).

SPB I see we still share the same sleep woes. N slipped back into night feeds with a recent bad cold and very sore teething that he´s been having but we´ve decided to cut it out again so the last 2 nights we´ve had at least an hour if not 1.5 hours of crying. Dh has been dealing with it, going in every 15mins or so to ssh him and pat his bum and leave him to it again. I am staying out of it because I would just pick him up and set us all back again. It´s horrible and everytime we´ve tried this in the past it´s been the same i.e. doesn´t seem to get better. Not like everyone else who seems to say that over the course of 3nights it goes from 1 hour to 30mins to 10 mins to sleeping all night. But this time we are persevering, dh is determined and I am determined not to interfere. You are not alone and I really really empathise. N doesn´t have any real attachment object either which I am sure doesn´t help. He likes the taggie I made him but can take it or leave it, same for his ´special´ toys or baby blanket. But then I never had attachment to comforters as a baby either so...

Had some big news the other day, my parents are moving to Oman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dad leaves today and Mum leaves in July, she wants to hang around for a couple of weddings and my sister´s baby. I am very happy that my dad has work, they´ve been very worried about that side of things and concerned about their future but we are all that it will take them so far from us and Noah. They are very attached to him and spend at least an hour with him everyday so it will be a big difference for all of us.

Got to go shower and dress while the monster sleeps. Hope to pop in again in the next couple of days, take care all xxx

mamiguay they WILL be sleeping throiugh when they're2!
Pillock i thought he had finished things with her?? how did it go?

Sexonlegs · 03/05/2008 13:08

Hi folks.

How's C GM?

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely weather.

The sale was pants. I made 33 pounds only and sold only 4 things There were hardly any customers!!

Think I need to go down the ebay route which is a pita.

Off to a birthday party with B, so back later. x

mammyjo · 03/05/2008 17:07

Hi all. SOL, shame about the sale. Know what you mean about ebay, I find it a hassle having to package stuff up and then get to the post office to send it, especially with the dc's in tow!

GM, how is C now? Did he take his milk? Hoping he is better this afternoon

Dooby, glad you managed to get things sorted yesterday. Money (or lack of in my case!) is such a stressful thing isn't it. Did you get anything to wear yet? We need to see pictures!

SPB, I am so pleased that T is finally better. It must be so lovely for you to have your little boy back

Mamiguay, I had been thinking about the fact you hadn't been around for a bit this morning, only to come on here and find you had posted! Sorry to hear that your parents are moving so far away I would really miss mine as they are so supportive, guessing that is how things are with you too by the way you talk about them. Hope you are ok xxx

POTC, hope the visit went ok for Joe. Very amenable (sp?) of you, especially after the reaction of the gf last time. And I need to see a pic of your man! Very intriguing!

Can't remember any more. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. It is raining here so weather rubbish and the forecast for tomorrow is crap too. Better for Monday so hoping to go out for the day then!
Off now to sort out eastern spiced chicken for dh and my dinner later. I have been trawling my books for suitable low fat recipes!

Octothechildherder · 03/05/2008 17:24

If no-one is going to say hello, I won;t lurk.
