She was on my lap, but even after moving her onto my chair so that I could go and finish making dinner, she is still asleep . I think I'll be doing well if I can get her to bed before 10.

Chloe55 · 09/06/2008 18:08

Awwww, I bet she looked cute though!

Jas · 09/06/2008 20:54

Any sign of bed time yet csws?

I couldn't even wring out a nappy.....he's hardly weeing!
I got about 20ml after 3 hrs following him round, and went back to the drs to be told he is dehydrated (not exactly a shock) and has a uti. ABs started this evening. It is going to be a real struggle to get them into him.

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/06/2008 21:25

Well I put her to bed at 9, then finished washing up and emptied the bins, and then took the wheely bin out the front ready for collection tomorrow. Neighbour was out there so chatted to him for 15 mins (in my nightie ), and came back in expecting to find she'd gone to sleep, but she appears to still be chatting herself. So either she'll eventually go off, or she'll be at her gate with her sleeping bag off, her light on, and calling for me in 10 mins .

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/06/2008 21:46

All been quiet for a while now .

Jas · 09/06/2008 22:18

Quiet isgood

Ds has only had one dose of amoxicillin, and has had diarrhoea and vomiting this evening. (both on me[bleurgh])

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/06/2008 22:34

Yuk.

EachPeachPearMum · 10/06/2008 10:26

Jas- poor little boy.
Uti's are bad enough as an adult when we understand what it is- goodness knows what a 2 yr old makes of it- I hope he's better really soon.

The worst thing is when they look at you, and can't understand why you haven't made them better yet!

Which leads me to realise dd has had a really good long run of being well recently

I am still as sick as a dog though- she keeps patting me and saying 'aw, mama poorly' I feel very weak and feeble, quite pathetic really.

I had to go shopping on the way home from work as DH had managed to fall asleep all afternoon and not gone shopping! I bought the most random selection of foodstuff imaginable because most of what I picked up I couldn't face...
I bought cottage cheese, bacon, cucumber, plain yoghurt, ritz crackers, chips (we never have these!), quiche, and tomato soup.
Dh wasn't impressed and went out for fish and chips!
I just want plain or salty food all the time though. I wolfed loads of ritz and cottage cheese

EachPeachPearMum · 10/06/2008 10:27

btw, forgot to say Phoenix- I lOVE Go outdoors! Its fab- like an indoor camping land!

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2008 16:12

Fuck. Just dyed a load of washing red .

How many weeks are you now EPPM? Do you have a scan date?

How is boy today Jas?

Jas · 10/06/2008 16:26

I don't know if it works but you can buy run remover type stuff to try and un-dye it.....

He is much happier (apart from the battle to get the abs into him, and the diarrhoea), and is drining more, so I'm less worried, too

Jas · 10/06/2008 16:29

Just read your shopping post EPPM - he should've thought himself lucky you bought anything at all if he was too busy sleeping to do it!

I definitely think you should eat whatever you fancy when pg, particularly if you are still feeling sick.

Chloe55 · 10/06/2008 17:31

Awww poor ds Jas

Flame-doh!!

CSWS - hope you got a decent enough sleep!

EPPM - what the hell, there isn't that often in your life that you can eat what you like - go for it!

I have well and truly burnt myself today - I did apply factor 50 but couldn't reach my back so it is practically purple I'm normally the one telling people off for allowing themselves to get burnt!

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2008 17:59

I am so far from eating what I like during this pregnancy.

Clothes washing with colour run remover (which i already had) now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2008 18:50

Unfortunately, colour run remover does not work .

Jas · 10/06/2008 20:31

Sorry csws.....for still red washing, and for insensitive eat-what-you-want-when-pregnant comment How are you getting on with not eating what you want? Is the gd controlled by just your diet?

I hope you are ok Chloe. DD1 is still moaning about her shoulders hurting.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2008 21:06

Well the hospital were pleased with my blood results yesterday, to the extent that they said that I can just test every other day if I want. Not sure how I'll get on on holiday though, so will prob carry on doing every day for the time being.

It is hard though. Some days don't bother me, and other times I just want to eat something without having to think about it. I think I'm going to have an enormous chinese feast as soon as I get home with the new baby, followed by waitrose new york cheesecake .

Oops for burning yourself Chloe. Were you not at work?

Chloe55 · 11/06/2008 08:47

Oooh that sounds gorgeous CSWS! Oh and the doh!! was for you NOT Flame!

No I have finished work now CSWS, it was costing me what with childcare and stuff so it was pointless really, things weren't going that well there either. Gives me time to throw myself getting organised for childminding.

EachPeachPearMum · 11/06/2008 11:22

csws- for the washing ( or should that be ???) what a nightmare! Colour remover does not work?

Obviously it was very expensive, permanent red dye, whatever the item was!

Jas- glad ds is on the mend.

Chloe- for back- very nasty place to burn.

I am 9 w 4d- I have a scan date of 23rd June (11+ weeks) but its not the best day it could fall on- I have so much on that day- a training session and an evening event for young people, so I'm not actually all that excited tbh- far too stressed about the other things.

I was pretty peed off with the booking visit- just did not hit it off with midwife I guess- she was so insistent on everything being consultant led, and I wasn't impressed by the way she concentrated on my heart problem (exceptionally minor!) and my mental health (erm- haven't been on ads for over 8 years) and insited on referring me to mental health midwife- great!
She was also completely over the top on the nuchal scan/triple tests- I'm older, but not that old. 34... Plus at the end of the day- if the baby has DS, it has DS- I'm not going to terminate for something like that, so I really don't need to find out at 11 weeks thanks.

Sorry- very ranty today!

I was very poorly at work yesterday- went home at 4, and just went to bed
Couldn't eat anything.
On the plus side- I may have a bump already, but I don't weigh any more!

Jas · 11/06/2008 12:04

Is it a team of midwives EPPM? She sounds a bit overcautious to say the least. I was 36 having ds, and no one was even interested in my age, and although I did have to see the consultant once or twice (due to planning a vbac) my normal checks were all midwives.

I hope you get to see someone different (and a bit more chilled) next time.

I can't imagine how hard the diet is csws, but you are obviously doing it right. Roll on October.

EachPeachPearMum · 11/06/2008 12:13

There is a team, but she is the one assigned to our surgery.
I had emcs, so I have to be under consultant due to that too- actually, I think I annoyed her, because when she was doing medical history and asked about gynaecological problems/surgery, I said nothing, but then when we spoke about childbirth, I mentioned the c-section. She got all huffy with me! But I was assuming emcs was part of previous pg/childbirth NOT medical history! Doh- well, maybe I was being a bit dim, but she was quite sniffy.

Jas · 11/06/2008 16:37

Maybe she was just having a bad day?

Are you going to try for a vbac?

EachPeachPearMum · 11/06/2008 17:39

I think so (though, deep down, secretly, I would rather c-section again - solves so many problems...)

Flamesparrow · 11/06/2008 18:50

Erm, all I can remember is Jas's dude with a uti, and arsey midwives for EPPM

On the plus side, I have been gone because I am working on "me" now that the ADs are kicking in
