Gaaaaaaah! Dd fell asleep on way back from school, and has now been sleeping for 1.5 hrs , and refuses to be woken .
At least she'll be able to stay awake to see dh when he gets back tonight, but I'd like her in bed before the Apprentice starts at least!

mustrunmore · 23/04/2008 19:08

ds2 fell asleep les than a min after leaving friends house a t 6pm! troublr is, very sore bum, really needed a bath

For augsut, we are busy the first week. 2nd to 8th or something. Think thats it. But obv need to fit in with dh's shifts re childcare.

Weighed myself today.. thibk about 4 weeks asince last time, and have lost 4lbs. So exactly 2 stone to lose now. Have lost 1st 1lb total since ds2, with a bit back on then off agin

Flamesparrow · 23/04/2008 19:47

I'm comfort eating To start with the weight has gone on for the unknown cause, and now it is on I feel so about how I look, I am doing the logical thing of eating more! Why can't I comfort exercise...?

DD is fine now, a bit whingey and off her food, but generally fine.

DS says his ear and head hurt (soooooooooooo good to have both children suddenly able to say what hurts). Took him to the GP at 6pm, and she was arsey with me. She wanted to do a phone consult, but what with him being a child who shoves things in random orifices, I wanted to check it was ow from illness and not "Ow, I shoved half a loaf of bread in my ear" His ears are red but not infection raging yet. Said to call emergency doc if he is howling in the night.

Argh for the sleeping babies. Mine are now in bed and not yelling, hopefully tonight will be better.

Flame, you looked great when I last saw you

Flame · 24/04/2008 11:26

Killed the thread then

I'm not looking how I was which I think is the issue MRM

mustrunmore · 24/04/2008 12:38

How you were when??

Flame · 24/04/2008 12:57

Before Christmas

DontDreamItBeIt · 24/04/2008 13:10

Wasn't it before Christmas that you were worried because you had lost too much weight?

I haven't seen you, but maybe some of the gain is just you getting back to a more normal weight for you.

I feel like I'm beating my head against a brick wall atm, trying to explain our financial situation to dp. He sees a big pile of cash and thinks we are fine, but he dosn't pay any of the bills at all, and doesn't even know how much most of them are.
I do try and tell him, but he glazes over within seconds and just wants me to tell him everything is ok

I'll be spending this evening going through our accounts and trying to magic up the money to pay for car tax.

Shit.

I've just hung the washing on the line and it is pissing down.
Just about sums up my day so far....

Phoenix · 24/04/2008 13:32

No one missing me yet then ? We've lost our connection at home so i'm posting from my mums. Hopefully we'll be back online soon though. Dh rang Sky (well i did but they can't speak to me because the account is in his name ) this morning and they have to ring BT to change something on our line, it could take a few hours or up to 48 hours.

Phoenix · 24/04/2008 13:32

Hope everyone's ok

Flame · 24/04/2008 13:33

Oh Jas I hate money worries. I have no real advice - DH has no hand in our finances at all - he asks before he spends anything and assumes as a rule we can't afford it. Tis much easier when it is me making the mess of it iyswim.

re my weight - I was concerned because I was losing it without trying. it then steadied out for a good few months and it seemed I had found my level. Now I have rolls of fat again i liked the level before iyswim

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/04/2008 15:36

Jas - could you write a list of all your monthly expenses to demonstrate your point, and either make him look at it or shove it up his arse?

Flame - I was all confused - I thought you were saying that you were too thin rather than too fat. No advice really - weight loss not my forte .

I survived my repeat glucose tolerance test this morning - hurrah! No idea when I get results though.

Going away for hen weekend tomorrow - am not remotely organised, so will have a mad manic trying to pack this evening and no doubt realising that everything I need is in the wash.

Hope internet is sorted quickly Phoenix.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/04/2008 17:16

Oh and we got the fridge fixed today. There was a bottle that had rolled behind a shelf when builder moved it, and it was forcing it forward into the way of the door .

Flame · 24/04/2008 17:44

@ your fridge!

Look at Flamedudette in photos

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/04/2008 19:00

Where on earth did all that curly hair come from ?

Flame · 24/04/2008 19:04

lol! He's had curls for aaaaaaaaaaaaages.... admittedly probably not since you last saw him though I have to "do" his hair in the morning to set them or they turn into that (actually that is good because he has been sweaty temperature boy)

Frizbe · 24/04/2008 21:00

Jas re dh and money, have you managed to rustle up the cash yet?

Flame, yay for battening ds down in the car, dd2 hasn't tried escaping since her 2 go's last year......had a major cry earlier though when I told her off for nearly putting her hand in the toilet to play with the toilet block I only told her off firmly and she dissolved into floods, bless.

CSWS at the bottle in the fridge, have a great weekend

for the internet bother Phoenix, Sky, pah......

Hello MRM, CS and anyone else about.

Aug is tricky for me, but I'll try and fit you all in!!

Must dash to watch Heroes, but quickly, have started training dd2 on potty 1 wee in it yesterday, 2 today and last one on toilet, so fingers x'd she's getting into it. Managed to be dry last night though as did dd1 (Friz faints)

Frizbe · 24/04/2008 22:16

Well I thought Heroes was good, anyone else watch it??

please think happy re snip thoughts for dh, he's under the knife again tomorrow, 2nd time lucky???

Oh and grandp's have booked the holiday, so looks like we're off to Mallorca for 3 days in June shame dh isn't coming though remind me to keep balcony door locked at all times, or dd2 will be out of it, when I'm on the loo, or some such horrible thing moi worried.....

mustrunmore · 25/04/2008 08:30

Funnily eonugh, we were talking about MrFriz's snip the other day! Good luck this time. x

pmsl at csws's fridge!

Flame, when did I last see you beofre xmas? Really trying to think and compare and give you an honest opinion. Although I still think you look great as you are now.

Jas, can I add my money empathies too? Although at least here. dh is as paanoid aout money as I am! I';ve really fucked up this week. Bought my nnew clothes., so I had a n outfit that was tidy and fitted and had no holes, and had to buy the swimmimng cossie, so actually spent about 370 on that lot. Last night we had a meal arranged for ages; I thought if I had a sallad and a pudding, it would nt be too bad. But the 2 other friends decidded we'd just split 3 ways. Wasnt till this morn that the full horror dawnedonme that I've spent £26 on a salad a bit of cake and a glass of wine So now, we have to cancel Sunday night. Dh had, for the first time in his life, taken the ininitiative to get a babyysitter and ask me out to see a band that I'd really like. I was so touched. We haventy seen live music together since prekids. But ar the end of the day, its £12 a ticket plus a drink each, so we just cant do it And dh doesnt see the point in just going out afor a drink as he'd have totalk to me! Oh well.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/04/2008 09:29

mrm- is that 37 or 370? thats a lot of clothes.....
mind you, tis prob just larndon prices...26 for salad& wine

rofl at csws's bottle- I have done similar many times!
Our fridge is too tall (I am but a dot) and I often can only see what is on the bottom shelf only.

mustrunmore · 25/04/2008 10:53

oops. Thats should say £70!
And the £26 was because they decided to split it 3 ways but they each had a starter aswell, and a tea/coffee/coke.

DontDreamItBeIt · 25/04/2008 12:36

mrm. but at £370 on clothes.
Couldn't you just refuse and pay for your own stuff when you were out?
Thankfully all my rl friends have no money too so we only do cheap nights and all pay for ourselves.

lol @ the fridge csws.....have you told the builder you accused of breaking it

Good luck Mr Frizbe.

I haven't creaed any extra money, but dp has asked for a small advance on the money he is due, so hopefully he will get that today and it will last until he gets properly paid.
Didn't do anythng useful at all last night, so I will have to try and get motivated tonight.I need to dp dps tax soon as well, so I know how much we will need to save up for that, too. (I've spent most of the seperate Tax savings account on paying bills this week)

DontDreamItBeIt · 25/04/2008 12:37

Didn't mean to post that yet...Phoenix -come back soon. We are missing you

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/04/2008 14:37

Was doing really well for getting away on time (wanted to leave by 2:30), but then dd got all upset about her shoes rubbing her feet, and ended up having a feed and falling asleep on me. Now I'm not fully packed, dd still on my lap, and I'm going to hit the M25 in rush hour - aarrrrggh!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Flame · 25/04/2008 14:47

MRM - I will pay for your band ticket if you will go. It is a big thing for him to have organised it all, I think you should go.

Can't focus to take anything in really, that pain is back in my stomach/side I am categorically 100% not pregnant though Blood results confirm
