Give her babysitting vouchers (I'm assuming she has children).

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/06/2008 09:03

Oh, if anyone is still looking for something to do today, then check out this thread.

Flamesparrow · 01/06/2008 13:34

I'm crap at this whole keeping up thing lately.

How you doin Chloe?

CSWS - Low lying placenta? Is that what I have taken in?

Went on hen night last night - best friend from college, the only people i was going to know were her and my ex friend who kissed my ex boyfriend.... I turn up and he is there too Some warning would have been nice

Really surreal night, ended up in a club, and they all decided to go home (including the bride) leaving me and him stood there with our full drinks looking slightly bemused discussing how bloody weird it was.

Really good night in the end though. He was the whole first love, left me heartbroken kind of thing. 10 years on and I have remembered how good he was as a friend without all the other crap. Obv can't keep him as a friend though

Flame

mustrunmore · 01/06/2008 19:02

Why not Flame? Keep him as a friend I mean? Am I being dim here?

Flamesparrow · 01/06/2008 20:50

DH knows he was the big first love. As much as he trusts me, I know I would be a mess if he started hanging around with Debbie (his first love), so I can't do it

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 01/06/2008 21:10

Oh, plus that I may have inadvertently encouraged him to dump his girlfriend of 9 years

EachPeachPearMum · 01/06/2008 21:21

Wow- you all spoke so much! More than you have for ages ...

I have had a terrible weekend- thats a nauseous face, not envious! Took Friday off work, as I felt so bad.
Have slept 20 out of last 24 hours
Feel really rough- well, probably just means its a real baby

I had no morning sickness at all with dd, so I suppose this is making up for it. 'morning' is a complete misnomer though- its constant.

EachPeachPearMum · 01/06/2008 21:22

Flame- is the 9yr girlfriend the one who is your ex-friend?

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/06/2008 21:35

Tee hee - no morning sickness for me ever .

Good time at your mum's mrm?

Flame - yes to low lying placenta.
We see dh's ex fiance from time to time, so he wouldn't have a leg to stand on if I/we met up with one of mine. Unlikely to happen though I reckon - my 'significant' ex has disappeared off the face of the earth (he was always quite private, and I reckon he's hiding from me ). Doubt that dh would mind anyway though - we trust each other in that respect.

Flamesparrow · 01/06/2008 21:52

Awww, constant sickness sucks

No, the 9 year g/f is another woman he met about 6 months after we broke up (hmmm... i thought me n DH were on yr 8, but we must have just had a 9th anniversary ). I don't think my "friend" was ever a girlfriend as much as she wanted to be. To be fair, he has apparently been trying to get the guts to break up with her for a little while... I may have just nudged it

I have no idea how much of a problem DH would have with it tbh, all I know is I have terrible jealousy issues so I can't expect any more trust for myself

An ok time. Her op went ok. Did as much as I could to help... nursey stuff, helped withher ecovery exercises, plus some practical stuff like putting a bench together and replacing a birdbox 10ft up the back wall, and half refelting the shed roof (failed; too rotten to nail into ). On day we left, I stripped the beds and sorted out all the toys upstairs. Before I could start downstairs, she was on the phone to her friend saying how soreshe was bwecause she'd had to pick things up off the floor I just know she didi it on purpose for sympathey and to make me look shit. Ok, rant over.

So, add to that a 1.5hr delay on the way and 0.5hr dalay on way back! We ended up on a train that ultimatety went to Bournemouth... do you have any idea how tempted i was??!!

And have put 1lb back on due to lack of training and eating crap up there So def cant tell you yet Frizbe, as will look even worse now. Ran 10km in just underan hr today though; knocked 28secs off my last treadmil time, but also did an incline not flat. So kinda happy! Got my race details and sponsor form for the 10km run in September... eek!

mustrunmore · 01/06/2008 21:55

Flame, I might need to email you at the start of nect week, for some logical advice for a friend. I obv have no logic, I do what my heart and desire tells me I can listen and present 2 sides of an argument, but if asked to have a real opinion, I'm stuffed!

Flamesparrow · 01/06/2008 21:56

ooh sounds intriguing

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 01/06/2008 22:02

Not sure what its all about yet, although I have my guesses. Have only had cryptic texts until we can talk face to face. Am selfishly hoping its nothing that will upset me , but I dont think its that option, think its another thing entirely.
Am I waffling??!

Chloe55 · 02/06/2008 07:52

Hi ladies, hope you all had a good weekend.

How odd that a bloke ended up on the hen do anyway Flame

MRM - been ages since I checked up on here re your running - well done on 10km under an hour!!! That's very impressive.

EPPM - hope the nausea subsides soon, how many weeks are you now (without having to trawl through the whole thread )

Hellooooo to everyone else.

No developments this way, no period, still feel quite sick regularly without actually being so. Attempted to get drunk on Saturday night to try and forget about things and just have a laugh but the wine just didn't go down very well so was back on cups of tea by 10pm, sat outside round a makeshift fire until 2am!!

Have started my new routine today too. Thought I'd better get use to it before the childminding starts (course starts tonight, eek!) So, was up at 6.30am, breakfast made by 6.45am, kicked dh out of the door at 7.15am so he is home in time for me to get to college and kitchen is tidy. Going to start flying again today after I get back from Nanna's, knackered already!!

Flamesparrow · 02/06/2008 20:18

your day sounds exhausting Chloe!!!!

Bloke on hen night - he is one of her best friends now (which is weird as they hardly spoke when we knew each other), the stag night was in London and he couldn't get there, so they made him honorary girl.

You are making no sense whatsoever MRM

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 02/06/2008 20:31

But you always understand my wafflng flame! Am gettin really worried, as I had some texts that sounded v unhappy, then nothing for 24hrs now. Am hopin its just an out-of-battery/credit thing.

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/06/2008 09:12

How was the child minding course Chloe?

Jas · 03/06/2008 09:18

Morning.

No idea what mrm is on about....hope your friend is ok.

@ sickness EPPM. I hope it passes soon.

We had a lovely day out on Sunday in the end, and I'm going to buy my friend a plant for her front garden whsen Inext visit her as she is a clueless gardener but wants it to look nice
I left ds at hme and it was such a nice day with just big kids and no buggy

I discovered last night what happens when a child is sick onto the floor from the top bunk It took me an hour to make the room safe enough to go into, and I will be cleaning it all day today I think.

She (dd2 ) is still asleep after a really rough night

mustrunmore · 03/06/2008 10:03

Another reason why I'm not going to give in and let the boys get bunks! Yueuch!

Jas · 03/06/2008 10:04

At least the bottom bunk was empty.

mustrunmore · 03/06/2008 10:09

I've still got a dd cardy here you know. And a nppy wrap.

Chloe55 · 03/06/2008 10:29

Jas! That is a vomit smiley, not envy!!!

Course was good thanks CSWS, I'm amazed at all the paper work and red tape that's involved though - not that it's a bad thing I guess. Was shocked that there is no need for any checks/courses if caring for 8yr+ though, what's that all about? Surely they need as much protection as the younger kids? But hey ho, that's life for you I guess.

Got a banging headache today that has lasted for a few days now - I wish my bloody body would sort itself out one way or another!!

Flamesparrow · 03/06/2008 14:55

Argh for the vomit!

I am in a bit of an argh oh crap place.

DH just called to say they are most likely making one of 3 of them redundant. He was the last one in, but he does the most work, Mike has been there medium time and works insanely slowly, and Clive is off most of the time with stress and depression. We're thinking they can't easily lay off Clive without a court case, so tis between him and Mike

I am vaguely calm. Thinking about what jobs I can apply for.
