well KBaby you are doing better than me - bowl of special K, banana, many fistfuls of crisps, 4 sausage rolls, 2 cocktail sausages, big plate of chicken supreme, two triangles of peanut butter sandwiches meant for the kids and two glasses of red. What time is our BBQ I wonder......

ImpyChica · 04/05/2008 15:41

Feliz Dia del Madre everyone!!! Just been out for yummy steak with the in-laws and my boys - lovely. And had amazing treat last night - posh French grub then night in posh hotel in Madrid while in-laws were on Ryan duty at home! Hurrah! Had a VERY romantic time....!

Hope you're all well. In-laws go back to the UK this evening and DP is off to London for a few nights too - so the holiday is well and truly over.... Had a wonderful long weekend - May 1 and 2 are holidays here. Ryan did poke me in the eye with my sunglasses on Thurs mind - so went to A&E on Fri morning to check it out - no permanent damage thankfully!

Welcome youngbutnotdumb! And hope you all have a great bank holiday tomorrow - think of me slaving over celebrity news

Hugs Impy xxx

Big welcome to youngbutnotdumb-my DD2 (Sophie) was born 4 days early on the 27th June so nearly virtual twinnies.

The Sophster has a terrible black eye. Everybody feels the need to comment on it for some reason. Have taken to saying 'yes, am killing my children slowly' She is still babbling but does put 2 words together now. Eg. dut door, det down and dit der (shut door, get down and sit there) She is also full of yet another cold so that means another one for me to catch.

Impy-sounds like you had a fab time.

Bloss-you globe trotter you. Tried to leave DH with the girls this morning to give him a taste of life with the wild child and Sophie but he insisted on coming with me.

Bought a garden sun lounger from Argos and it is the most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat on so it is going back!

kbaby-you have done brill losing weight. Unfortunately, after getting down to 7 st 12.5 lb I have got my appetite back and can't stop stuffing. Was chuffed to try on a size 8 skirt and it fitted although I still 'see' myself as a size 12.

Beadmum-hope the house moving is running smoothly.

Annie-my migraine is much better thank you. The headache bit of it is lingering but I can cope with that.

Emma wet herself this afternoon-she is almost 5 so surely she shouldn't have accidents? She couldn't explain why she did it.

Waves to everyone else-must get tea ready. Off to Oulton Park tomorrow to watch the Superbikes and taking the girls. Will I survive the day????

Hey all - I'm still grumpy, soooo fed up of being housebound with a lurgied toddler. Dom has today been on an exciting diet of white bread, banana and breastmilk, after enthusiastically chugging down his breakfast juice this morning (50/50 apple & water) and projectile vomming it all over his highchair. Fingers crossed he's on the mend...

HC, you're going to waste away lady! Eat some more pies . I used to get migraine around time of AF when I was on the pill, but haven't had one for years now. They are nasty tho, you have my sympathies...

aGalChangedHerName · 05/05/2008 07:21

Morning all

Not posted for ages (as always)

Bloss my ds1 had chicken pox twice. 1st time loads of spots and not too ill.2nd time a few spots and soooo ill
Hope DH is happier now? Remember he works hard but we women work harder!!

HC you poor thing, everytime i read throught the posts you have been ill again Hope you are better now xx

Been really busy here again.

Had a meet up in April with the Edinburgh lot, they are a really nice bunch of girls.
Work is crap as usual One of my mums who is at college has had such bad attendence that her bursary officer phoned me last week and said (with no notice) that i would not be getting paid on the Thursday and not to provide childcare for the mum again. The mum says she hasn't been absent but i am not having her back till i have been paid. Sounds hard faced i know but i am sick of some parents taking the piss.

The dc are doing well. Ds1 still going out with his gf and they are still in love
Ds2 is finding his groove somewhat. He is a bit of a geek/bookworm and preferred his own company 99% of the time but went to stay ove at his mates house last night and they are going to the cinema today.
Eilidh can talk in full sentences of arounf 5/6 words. EG Look mummy look a bird up there!! She is sooo funny and stubborn and lovely and arrrgghhh such a huffy madam.
Dd1 is fab atm. Loving nursery and learning so much. She fell off a wheeled toy and cracked a bone in her elbow but it's healed well and she is mostly fine now. Has had two accidents and had massive bruises on her face. I can't imagine what the nursery think lol.

DH and i are fine. Tired working so much and pissed off that our 1st Wedding Anniversary was so shite but determined that our 2nd will be better!!

CB hope the sicky feeling passes really soon xx

Flick i don't know how you hold it together. You are amazing xx

I echo what everyone else said Spin pop in and let us know how you and Roshi are? We do miss your posts xx

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well xx

soph28 · 06/05/2008 13:42

Hi girls,

Just a quick post to let you know that Chloe is now officially a BIG sister!

Robyn Olivia born at 12.40am on Friday 2nd May. I was induced at T+12 and it was the easiest labour of the 3. Just 3 pushes and she was out!

Anyway, she is gorgeous,is feeding realy well and seems to be a contented little thing. Will post pics soon xxx

Beadmum · 06/05/2008 14:41

congratulations to the soph household glad it all went well and everything sounds to be going great, cant wait to see your pics

agalch - thats a pity about your anniversary, I remember my 1st anniversary wasnt great as i was almost 8 months pregnant and not really in the celebratory mood, being the size of a house didnt help we planned in advance for our 2nd and my mum took charlotte while we went away for a few days and had a lovely time in cardiff, youll have a fab time next year

mae - poor dom, hope he is better soon

hc - did you have a good time yesterday?

impy - sounds like you had a lovely time

twinkle - I was a 1st time buyer last time round and i dont remember it being so complicated, trying not to stress and hope the solicitors are doing everything they should be, will try not to chase until thur/fri better start packing i suppose though.

Have had a lovely weekend, bil came to visit on sunday and we took charlotte bowling then the park, she had a great time even though it rained in the afternoon. Yesterday as dh was still off we went to st andrews for the day, the weather was beautiful so was very busy, took us nearly 30mins to find a parking space and we made the mistake of trying to leave at the same time as everyone else or so it seemed, over an hour to get from carpark to main road, cars were at a standstill, still we had a lovely day

Cant believe the gorgeous weather, hope it continues xx

MaeWest · 06/05/2008 14:48

Congratulations Soph and family . Three pushes - pretty impressive!

I made my booking appt today, makes the pregnancy seem a bit more real. Still got 3 weeks to wait tho...

Dom is pretty much back on form, he has gone to the childminder with a warning not to let him guzzle anything down too quickly - I'm sure that's what caused the puking at the weekend, greedy boy . I'm also keeping him off cows milk at the mo as this seems to set him off. Anyhoo, better get back to work...

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 06/05/2008 16:47

Evening all!!

CONGRATULATIONS Soph! Well done you! Three pushes! What a lovely name too, looking forward to seeing the pics.

Mae, glad Dom is better, poor little thing.
I'm very impressed you got to see Michael Rosen doing the Bear Hunt live! Wow!
How are your boobies?

Beadmum, fingers crossed for that house move.

Algach, hope your DD1 is ok. Eilidh sounds fab!! And your boys too. Hope you get to celebrate another time for your anniversary.

HC, how is Sophie's eye? Hope it's better. Glad that fecking migraine is gone at last.

Bloss, enjoy your Lisbon trip. My boss is also there this week and has promised to bring me back a bottle of local wine, as I'm looking after their mozzies while they're away. What's the bet it'll be a bottle of Jacob's Creek from the duty-free? Your boys will be missing you! Where's that playstation...

Impy sounds like you had a lovely time! How's the eye?

Welcome to YoungbutNotDumb

We had a nice long weekend. Actually had a baby-free evening on Friday, as Dh's friend and his missus came roudn to babysit so we went to the pub. I paid for it on Saturday though, with a hangover that lasted all day.
Will I ever learn?
Yesterday we went to the local park for a picnic, followed by a kick-about, then ice-cream, then another kick-about, then a ride on the funfair. Both of them were just thrilled. Bless em! Home then to play in the garden. K got some second glances as I made her wear a huge big sunhat!!!

Anyway girls, love to you all, best go.

hi all!
hope lurgied kids are getting better and H has only mild pox - bloss wehat a nightmare for you!

well, the long weekend at my parents was pretty good except they refused to move anything from little grabby hands' reach! ad then my mum got all upset when he broke one of her favourite glass dishes.... jacob had a realyl good time and spent loads of time with his papa running around ion the garden, seeing the hoss in the back field (jacob's word!)

got back on sujnday lunchtime and the house was a complete building site! plumbers stuff everywhere and no room actually finished even though they had assured us it would be! so we slept in the lounge - ds on a blow up bed, me on the sofa, sam in his little cocoon from his buggy, and jacob came down from his room at around 330! but it's looking much better now and the plumbers are doing well and the builders are nearly finished so all getting on well.

must go am having the snail and the whale shoved at me to choruses of whale whale whale whale whale!!!

wasn't the weather gorgeous yesterday - managed to actually get a bit of sun and also outside in the garden today - its glorious!

and congrats soph, sorry new mum head here! sounds like a dream labour in the end!

ImpyChica · 06/05/2008 20:03

CONGRATULATIONS Soph!!! Made up for you. Been wondering how you were getting on. Great name, great labour! High five! (said in Borat accent - which is what DP does to Ry all the time now!)

Sorry work's crap Algach. All the kids seem to be doing well though. Eilidh sounds like a right clever one! Since your parents are so rubbish at helping you out, couldn't you get another babysitter and go out with your DH for a late anniversary celebration? It's always good to get out on your own...

Impressed with Charlotte bowling Bead!

Glad Dom's on the mend Mae.

My eye's much better thanks Annie sweetie! Got drops for it which are helping. Well done on the baby-free evening! They really are the business! Glad you had such a fun weekend. (Dare I ask if you've done any [whispers] controlled crying? It's worth it in the long run.....)

Oh flick - I don't know how you cope! Surely all this building work will be over soon? I loved the Freudian slip of calling your DH your DS !!! Hope it all gets sorted soon and your house is converted into a palace!

Hugs to everyone else. Are you better now HC? Hope so ...

Evening all

Had a nice time at the racing yesterday-it did rain quite a bit though. Got back quite late so both girls shattered and Emma was particularly whingey. DH had a rare day off today so it was really nice going into town with him and Sophie. MIL picked Em up from school then we had tea at MIL's with a glass of wine on the decking while MIL got tea ready-bliss!

soph-congrats on the birth of Robyn. Very exciting.

Am quite tired myself actually so can I just wave to everyone?

Congratulations Soph!! And what a lovely name. Can't wait to see pics.

Has Flick posted pics yet btw? Did I miss them?

Feeling broody...

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 07/05/2008 15:01

Hello girls

Twinkle, go on, get TTC! You know you want to!
We're all still waiting for Flick to post some pics. We've just seen one precious one.

HC, hope you got some rest. Sounds like a lovely day at the races.

Impy, LOL at your Borat impression. You're mad, you. Haven't tried CC. I keep intending to, but DH always has an excuse not to bother. Which I readily agree with. We're waiting til all her teeth are through now, so, what, another two years???
I do kind of half heartedly attempt it every now and then, but give up quickly, for fear of waking Joey up. I know it would be worth it, but just can't get down to it. Besides, she only wakes about 14 times a night now...

Flick, you seem to have such a lot going on!

I went to yoga today for the first time in... at a guess... two years. It was quite an easy class, only two Down Dogs! The class I used to go to we had to do about twenty. Anyway, it wasted an hour and a half of work time (in which my technician helper buddy did all my work!). I didn't feel guilty though, cos most of the other guys were off playing basketball.

I was leaving for work yesterday, taking Joey to playgroup on my way, and Kayley said, 'Joey Playgroup, Mammy gonna work, Mimi PUB!'
I think maybe I better watch her more closely...

Have a good evening girls, enjoy that sunshine!

OP posts:
ImpyChica · 07/05/2008 19:57

LOL at Mimi off to the pub Annie!!! Hilarious! Sounds like she's got her head screwed on, that one!

Ohmigod - I just posted on the wall of the guy I had a crush on for five years at school, on friendsreunited. I can only blame the fact that DP is in London and I was bored.... Oops! It was just a silly comment about his website but now I feel like I've started something IYKWIM..... Maybe he won't even reply - but then that would be worse! Oh shut up Impy!

ceebee74 · 07/05/2008 20:00

Evening all - the sunshine and the fact I seem to be the other side of the morning sickness has really cheered me up today

Soph - congratulations to you! What a lovely name and a lovely addition to your family

Annie - have you any jobs? I would love a job where I could just go to yoga for an hour and a half!! Lol at Mimi going to the pub - I can't think where she got that from

Hi to everyone else - Spin, where are you? We are all thinking about you and I really hope things are ok

The waiting till my scan next week is killing me!! Complete torture! Am getting fed up of all the sideways glances at work at my growing tummy which I am struggling to disguise - roll on next Thursday and I can finally come clean although I fully expect most people to say that they had already guessed

Anyway, must dash as need to tidy up the lounge after I stupidly let Josh eat a chocolate croissant in there - hence small bits of chocolate everywhere which have no doubt melted!

x

ceebee74 · 07/05/2008 20:03

X-posts Impy - lol at what you have done! If it makes you feel better, I have been e-mailing my first boyfriend who I went out with for nearly 2 years, since last week as he found me on Facebook and sent me an e-mail - and it has just kinda carried on (purely platonically of course since he is married with 1 child and another on the way - as am I of course )

Could never tell DH though which does make me think I should stop really

thefortbuilder · 07/05/2008 20:16

just wuickly am uploading photos to snapfish as we speak and will post links later - sam is actually not wailing for once today and jacob has managed to get himself to sleep relatively easily, although last night he was in with us from midnight coughing really badly - he's so snotty at the moment poor little man!

so i am going to have a glass of vino as my milk seems to have completely gone despite pumping like mad for the past 7 weeks , and relax after a hard days childcare and gardeniong - 8 lovely lavender bushes now make our garden look a quarter decent! just the peonies to go in and we'll be looking ok - afternoon tea party for sam on saturday so have to have at least the garden looking ok even if the house is still a building site!

xxx

thefortbuilder · 08/05/2008 10:48

sam about 2 weeks ago

a bit more recent

last weekend the little fatty!

having him weighed next week when we have his first lot of jabs - can't believe it's that soon already!

what glorious weather still - hope it holds!

xxx

ceebee74 · 08/05/2008 11:14

Flick - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! What a yummy little bundle Sam is (The last 2 photos are the same though) I want one now - not in 6 months time

thefortbuilder · 08/05/2008 11:17

last one should be this

ceebee74 · 08/05/2008 11:24

Yep - that one is also gorgeous!!

MaeWest · 08/05/2008 13:18

Flick - what a sweetie

Annie - am of the yoga class. I haven't been since pg with Dom, used to love the relaxation at the end, often dozed off . Would like to find another pg class this time round, but finding childfree time to do it is another matter (although I do 'work' from home...) Mimi sounds like such a cutie. Don't worry about the CC thing, Dom was put to bed at around 7.30 last night, didn't drop off until about 9pm. At one point I said, that's it, I'm really going to leave him to it.... Lasted about 3 mins before I gave in to the cries of 'mummeee' and he eventually fell asleep holding my hand through the bars of the cot

PixelHerder · 08/05/2008 14:40

Hi all - blaaaardy hot innit Too hot actually for me with my pathetic white skin, moan moan...

Aaaaaw Flick he's gorgeous!! Looks v contented, reclining there.

Big congrats to you on the birth of Robyn, Soph, great that the birth was so good (well relatively speaking ) Lovely name too.

Hi to everyone else, I won't try and catch up now as don't have time but will be back on soon.

We're okay here, still waiting for an exchange and completion date, getting v fed up now of life being on hold.

Emma has been a bit accident prone of late (or I've been a bit neglectful ) - a few days ago she tried to get her fish fingers out from under the grill and burnt the top of her fingers, fortunately not too seriously, left an angry red mark though. How it wasn't worse I don't know. Stupidly I just hadn't really anticipated that one as she has always been very wary of the cooker, going 'hot', 'hot' whenever i've been cooking. Now she looks at her hand and goes 'hot' but hopefully she'll remember the association. And today she tripped down the stairs out of our front door as I was faffing about with the pram, and has a big red bump on her nose My nerves are shot!!

Oh well better get on, have good afternoons all xxx

HumphreysCorner · 08/05/2008 20:04

Aw flick-what a handsome, gorgeous baby.

Pixel-I think they are all prone to bumps and knocks. Hope Emma is OK after her little mishaps.

What glorious weather. Oh, the forecast has just been on and some rain is expected tomorrow. GGRRRHHH!!!

Have put Sophie in PJs for the first time tonight. Just been up though as she was crying and she was soaking wet. Hope she is not coming down with something else.

How is everyone? Missing some of you-where are you all?
