Boo to Mr Bloss - Chelsea through and through in this household . Am afraid I just turned the house blue with my language about 5 minutes ago....grrrrr!

TheGoddessBlossom · 30/04/2008 21:37

brilliant. Extra time. zzzz. Am not even watching the Apprentice for this. Dh is plastered...

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 30/04/2008 21:43

DH is watching too, hence I'm allowed some time on MN without having to feign interest. I still get the running commentry though. Nod, nod, um hmm, oh yeah? ...
He's not for either team, (Newcastle) whoever he's got in his dream team... (YAWN!)
I will watch the penalties though. They're fun!

K was in bed for about 8.30

OOOH IT's IN!

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 30/04/2008 21:46

Nope it's offside. I had to watch. I have to turn my head to pretend to watch or he'll get annoyed with me. DON'T CARE!

Sorry CB! And Flick.
Oh no wait! Penalty! Sorry Mr Bloss

Bloss, Tobes does sound completely edible!!

Aw Poor Frankie is bawling. Imagine playing football when his mum has just died. Well that's why I suppose...

I'll go now. I'm sure ye don't need running commentry

Morning all

Bloody migraine-this one is an absolute cracker.

Bloss-I do remember spin's mammoth pumping sessions which went on for at least 6 months. That woman deserved a medal. Hope your DH is dealing with the situation a tad better now.

Hope all OK.

HC

P.S. 26 days and counting until our week away in the caravan.

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 01/05/2008 12:24

HC, poor you. Hope it eases up soon.

Where is our Spin and Roshi?

CB and Flick, ye must be still smiling today.
Poor Mr Bloss though.

Back to the Bear Hunt...

so how come my son has to be the only person I know capable of getting chicken pox twice???? H has spots, so couldn't go to play school this morning ( I was livid had such a calm peaceful morning mapped out) took him to the dox who said it is the pox! But also said he shouldn't be contagious any more unless he gets loads more....I am on spot watch....

Took the boys to Bird World instead, and dodged the showers in the aquarium, it was good fun actually.

PixelHerder · 01/05/2008 14:48

Hi Girls
Am a bit behind so apologies - still recovering from a monster hangover from yesterday and brain not quite in gear Not even that exciting an occasion, work colleague of DH's came over for dinner and for some reason I got a drinking head on and got totally hammered on a couple of bottles of wine, sigh. I blame the stress of house moving - still no exchange date set, grrrrr.

Really must make more effort to get out, am slumping into a bit of a sofa depression waiting for things to get moving on the house, and trying to save money too so daren't go near the shops. So we're watching a lot of telly. Most guttingly, Emma has lost interest in INTG and her favourite now is Bananas in Fecking Pajamas - she pesters to have them on constantly which is bad news as they are fairly irritating. I'm having some success with indoctrinating her back into the Teletubbies though . She also likes Peppa Pig and Fifi thankfully, just not as much as the frigging Bananas.

Yep, readign that back we definitely need to get out more

Hope everyone's okay today, hope you feel better soon HC.

Annie - how do you play Bear Hunt?

xx

kbaby · 01/05/2008 15:12

Sorry ive not been on for a while, Ive had to spend all my internet time looking for party stuff for DD and trying to find a new camcorder.
Am still going to make a my little pony cake and have actually found a book which shows me what to do. Its a cottage with flowers and window boxes etc and then has 2 ponys sticking their heads out of the windows. Lets hope I can manage that, found a lush fireman sam one for DS birthday in august too.

DS isnt saying sentences either apart from ones that go together ie up there, there it is. He does say lots of words now which is a relief, I told him off last week and he came up to me and blew a rasberry in my face. He really is a monster abeit an adorable one

Flick- The picture of Sam was lovely
HC I cant believe you weight 7 stone!! I wish, I started my diet last week and have lost 2 lbs only another 5 to go and gain a 6 pack all by 31st may when we go on holiday. I want to get below 9 stone.
Bloss- Your pictures were lovely, They both have gorgeous hair. Did they ever explain why it tobys eyes just suddenly went funny.

I know im late answering this one but Ds calls his a willy and DD's is a lulu, not sure where we got that from!

ceebee74 · 01/05/2008 16:40

Will catch up properly later but wanted to share my exciting news....Josh actually put 2 words together this morning He had just finished watching Thomas and he went to switch the telly off (he is very well-trained!) and he waved at the telly and said 'bye bye Thomas'

PixelHerder · 01/05/2008 16:52

Yay Josh! It's so sweet isn't it, Emma has just started doing that too with Iggle Piggle 'bye bye Gog-geh' and the Teletubbies baby when the sun sets 'bye bye Baby' , makes me giggle.

Bugger about the double pox Bloss

MaeWest · 01/05/2008 20:24

I think Dom has managed 2 words together 'duck...swimmin'. Other exciting language development is that he's started saying 'poo' plaintively just before he starts straining. Not interested in the potty tho.

He's much better today, altho was v clingy and hasn't really eaten anything. Still loads of bf, will be glad when that calms down again as my nips aren't really appreciating the extra attention (sorry if TMI) he also had a bright yellow bf poo today, haven't seen one of them for quite some time...

Spin was amazing with her pumping regime, truly dedicated Hope you and Roshi are well if you're reading...

Twinklemegan · 01/05/2008 22:39

Aidan's been putting two words together for a while now, although reading about some of your LOs I've been worried he's a bit behind with talking. It's usually along the lines of Hiya Mama, Dada, bus, choo-choo, puss, anything really. Or Bye to the same. But recently he's started really answering me. For example if I think he's done a poo, I'll ask him if he's done a poo. If he hasn't, he'll shake his head and say "no poo-poo". And I have to believe him - he's been right every time! It's dead cute!

I'm off to bed now as I'm shattered. Work is really draining at the moment. I'm loving it, but I'm doing the work of about three people and trying to juggle 5 or 6 separate projects alongside my day to day work. I think it's using up all my brain power because I'm having real trouble just remembering things like leaving early to go to Tesco on the way to the bus. Even if I do actually remember I then forget half the stuff I'm supposed to get.

I'm also wondering about Spin and Roshi - hope you're all OK over there. Come back soon!

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 02/05/2008 14:01

Hi Girls

How is everyone today? HC how's that migraine?

We had a really rubbish night last night, Joey was up several times and wanted to come in our bed, and K woke about 243 times, drank THREE bottles of milk, leaked everywhere, drank more... It's time to sit down and hatch a plan, as this can't go on much longer. We are both too soft on them. But inconsistent. See?

Twinkle hope work eases up soon. Aiden sounds cute alright!

Mae, glad Dom is better, your poor nipples though!

CB hooray for Josh!!

Admittedly, Kayley has been stringing sentences together for a while now. I still think it's just from copying Joey. This morning, she woke up and announced 'Goin on a Bear Huny, mammy', and jumped down. Joey was still asleep, so we went in the living room to 'play' (jump on the couch with bear) and soon after we heard Joey singing from the bedroom 'We're going on a Bear Hunt, ...' etc.
Pixel, it's this book/DVD/game. Also you can see the author 'singing' it on YouTube. They absolutely LOVE it. Goes on ALL DAY EVERY DAY at the moment.
Hope the hangover has gone now! Any news on the house today? Has Emma watched 64 Zoo Lane? My two love that too. (telly addicts).

Bloss how's the pox? Has it got worse? I read somewhere that if they get it really mild, then it is possible to get it again. But if he had it bad last time (Sorry I don't remember) then getting it again is extremely unlikely. Poor Harry. Has Tobes had it already too?

Well best go and dissect some mozzies.

HAve a lovely LONG weekend all!!

We have the bearhunt book Annie, but I've never played the CD. Michael Rosen did come to my school when I was a nipper tho, and we got a live rendition .

Well, Dom's over the pukes but it's now coming out of the other end Five disgusting shitty nappies today. Had to put him in the shower to sluice him off.

I'm stir crazy from looking after a poorly toddler all week, and DH has already gone to bed saying he might be coming down with it too...

youngbutnotdumb · 02/05/2008 20:58

Hiya people my DS was born in June 2006 but hey
thought Id drop in there isnt one for June!!!
So how r we all?

Beadmum · 02/05/2008 20:59

Hi everyone

Have been reading all your posts regularly but time seems to run out before I post myself

Dh and I had a lovely time in edinburgh, did some touristy things including a whisky tour. Was a bit embarrassed as dh and i were the only scots on the tour and after given a free sample we just drank it quickly then the tour guide starting asking everyone to look at the colour, smell, etc. we just had to pretend having already finished it oops!!!

Just waiting for solicitors to get all paperwork sorted for our flat sale/house buying. Trying not to stress out but I feel for you pixel, its not an easy time
Bit different here in scotland so its missives we're waiting on being concluded at the moment, think its similar to the exchange in england, am i right? concluded missives is where you're then in a legal contract to buy, its all so confusing to me though

Charlotte is so adorable just now, shes talking so much, repeating everything and is also saying 2/3 words together now too. 'oh dear', 'all done' & 'bye bye fifi' being the favourites

Have a lovely weekend ladies xx

MaeWest · 02/05/2008 21:12

welcome youngbutnotdumb - think there might be the odd June baby on here who arrived a little ahead of time...

I am grumpy today - how about you?

youngbutnotdumb · 02/05/2008 21:24

Am gd 2day actually! Been a quiet day no work YEAY! Well DS was born 6 days late on 26th June LOL so not quite but hey.
So any interesting topics on here this fine evening LOL?

MaeWest · 02/05/2008 21:28

Hot topics atm seem to be what words our LOs can say and various illnesses - it's all go here Annie and I have crap sleepers so like to compete as to who is the most knackered...

Twinklemegan · 02/05/2008 22:22

Hi youngbutnotdumb. You're more than welcome to join us.

Yes Beadmum, it's confusing up here isn't it? As you say, the conclusion of the missives seems to be like exchange of contracts, the entry date being the completion date. And boy can it take forever to get to that point. I don't know about you, but I found it a whole lot more stressful up here. It's so confrontational with those solicitors letters flying backwards and forwards and I felt much more aware, somehow, of everything that could go wrong. I'm sure you'll be fine though.

TheGoddessBlossom · 04/05/2008 06:51

please don't let Toby be going back to 5.30am starts - we had one this morning. Why is it always DH's lie in that they get up REALLY REALLY EARLY? Day is just toooooo long when you get up at this hour.

Oh well, got a christening to go to this morning, party afterwards and friend round for a BBQ if the weather holds later.

Off to Lisbon on Tuesday morning with work, only for one night, but will be so weird to be without the boys! DH dreading it ha ha. Anyone know what the weather is likely to be like? Have no idea what to wear...

Hi Youngbutnotdumb - welcome!

Bloss

PS. KBaby, they just said his bad eye is so bad the brain just gave up on it....

kbaby · 04/05/2008 11:35

I am enjoying a peacefull morning as mum and dad have taken dd and ds to the garden centre. It is bliss.

Ds has a terrible bruise on his face where he was bouncing on DD's bed and fell off and hit her bedside cabinet. They are both into bouncing big time, they go into her bedroom and put on a cd (my mil gave them dreamcoats and petticoats) and then when I start hearing the song 'boncing ball ill come bouncing back to you' they both start giggling and bouncing. Ds had heard the song so many times he even sings along.

Still on my diet, for breakfast ive had 3 slices griled bacon and 1 wholemeal slice of bread and dinner today I have cod and vegatables. Oh how my life is so exciting.
