Beautiful pics Flick, just beautiful. xx

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 09/05/2008 13:48

Hi Girlies,

Flick, how precious is he! He's beautiful. Almost (I said ALMOST) made me broody there for a minute.

HC, Poor Soph! Don't they look so cute in PJs though! I thought they could never look cute than in a sleep-suit, but they do!
My two get soaking wet at night too these days (nights, even). It's the weather I'd say.

Pixle, poor Emma's fingers. Hope she's ok. Typical, the second you look away, they go for the thing they KNOW they're not supposed to. Hope you had a nice soothing drink to calm your nerves!

Mae, yes, the yoga was nice, I'm aching a bit today though. When I was pg with Mimi I used to go in the evenings after Joey was asleep. That didn't last long though, maybe 10 sessions!
So Dom isn't giving in yet then!? Mimi is rubbish too. Last night she kept waking, and staying awake. Refusing milk, then wanting it a minute later. Wanting her bear, then throwing it across the room. Tiresome, I say. And Joey did a poo in the middle of the night! What's that about?!
Still, we love em... Some babies just don't sleep and we are blessed with them.

CB and IMPY! You two naughty minxes. I've seen one ex on Facebook, but I'd never dare contact him. I have discretely contacted another ex's sister (who was once a friend of mine)... She only said hello though. Silly cow gave me nothing...
I don't think I'd like it if DH was at it though. Mind you, he doesn't do 'chat' thingys...

CB, looking forward to hearing about your scan! It'll be a relief to finally tell people though, eh? Exciting!!
Come and work with me, I'm sure we could split the work between us, and we'd be outta here by 12! Or we could alternate work and yoga so there's always one of us here.

My day off was lovely yesterday, I took the babes to a toddler group (which I have been avoiding lately, but DH though Joey needed more interaction, as he's a bit shy. He, of course, played by himself as usual!) and then DH got home around 2 just as Mimi went to sleep so we shot them both in the pram, and off to the Beer Garden! Yaaay!. Two pints later, they were awake, so we all wobbled walked home, played hosepipes in the garden and got soaked! Lovely.

Right well, best do something since I'm here...

Hi Ladeez,

Congrats Soph, wondeful news!

Flick Sam is yumble.

Lisbon was ok, bit tame and lonely to be honest, the conferences I remember were pretty wild affairs, I was pretty much on my own alot of the time although knew a few people to hang out with when necessary. Enjpyed having hot bubble baths in my very nice room with my book and a glass of wine... and Gerard Houllier was the guest speaker so that was good.

DH coped fine, althouh couldn't get hold of me one night when H was crying....the house looked like he had picked it up and shaken it when I got back but everyone survived...

Had the most amazing afternoon yesterday at ellington Country park one of my fave summer places, boiling hot, kids played in thew ater and sand pit, went on little train etc, I iwll post some pix if I can, had such a nice day. Going to buy a new paddling pool this morning I think....

T lobbed his glasses out of the jeep window yesterday! Bye bye glasses. Need to get new ones today, my fault for letting him have the window open. Have also run out of patches so have cobbled one together today out of plasters, he looks a sight!

Realised today that that I was supposed to have had my contraception injection by 30th April!!!! Think we have only done the deed once, maybe twice since then (as DH was ruefully telling me, jesus, join the queue for some attention will you) so not too worried but of course it hs made me think, holy fuck what if I was pregnant now! I would (I think) qualify for maternity leave (even if I'm part time?), but kerist could we cope with another!!!!??? Let's hope i'm not.

Right, off to get the troops ready for swimming, DH working today.

Bloss

xx

spin-lovely to hear from you and don't worry about frequent posting. We will never forget you. Wishing the next few weeks away for you.

Bloss-bless Tobes with his glasses. One of the school mums I talk to has a disabled son who often 'loses' his glasses and hearing aids.

Have walked into one of the caravan windows-forgot it was open so have a nasty bump on my head and under my eye. Also got quite badly burnt yesterday while cutting the grass so put factor 50 on today for the short time I was outside.

Waves to everyone else.

Congrats soph28.

Flick- Sam looks gorgeous, you forget how small a baby is, he looks adorable

Waves to spin.

Were all really enjoying the weather at the moment, have spent most of the days that I havent been in work out the garden playing and doing stuff. Have painted the play house, garden furniture and have done all my hanging baskets. DS refuses to go anywhere near the paddling pool or wear a hat so is grouchy in the heat. But is spending most of his time outside bloody digging up my flower beds with a spoon!! ive even tried to hide anything that can be used as a digging tool but he manages to find something.

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 13/05/2008 12:22

Hello ladies.

Good to hear from you Spin. We are all thinking of you and Roshi. I have my fingers crossed for good results. Lotsa love

bloss did you get his new glasses yet? i am frequenting the opticians to put the lens back in as jacob keeps bending the arms ruond so much that the lens pops out... luckily so far we have done it only at home or at little kickers so never lost a lens yet - waiting for it.

little kickers was a nightmare today - jacob did a massive poo just after we got there, sam started wailing and wanting a feed just after that so i couldn't participate at all - the coaches had to help jacob with the whole thing. so .

sam going through a "keep holding me or i wil lscream my head off" phase, unless he is in the buggy or course..

and been to the docs today who thinks my knee shooting pains are cartilege problems, and also has diagnosed me with pnd. of course you never really tell anyone how tough you are finding it all as everyone says "well done flick you're doing a great job, and you're doing so well" etc etc etc so you just kind of hold it all together until one day it just kind of goes, and that was today at the doctors.... of course dh phoning every 5 minutes saying "i don't want to add to your list of things to do but..." and then f*ing proceeds to, or talks to me like one of his juniors at work. not great... anyway, they have prescribed me the dreaded prozac, and suggested counselling - when i will fit counselling in with 2 kids i don't know given every 20 seconds i was up outof the chair in the docs office sorting jacob or sam out.

but the good news is that i have lost all the preg weight so it's just a case of toning it up

anyway, must go we have a playdate to prepare for!

xxxx

ps spin am thinking of you even though i do seem all consumed at the moment!

ImpyChica · 13/05/2008 19:09

Gorgeous pix Flick - Sam is so lovely. And poor you being diagnosed with pnd - I think it's a miracle if women get through the stress and strain of pregnancy/childbirth, looking after a newborn, all the hormonal changes and not get diagnosed with depression. And then on top of that you have a toddler to look after, building work and maybe not the most sympathetic DH in the world.... As I've said before, try and get as much help as possible - physically, emotionally, every way. You don't have to be SuperWoman. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

And big {{{{hugs}}}}} to you too Spin. Got all my finger's crossed that you get good results for Roshi. Must be a really stressful time for you all. And I just heard through the others the lengths you went to b-feed Roshi - big respect! I couldn't see myself setting an alarm to breast-pump in the night. V impressive.

Glad I'm not the only brazen hussie CB . Anyway he's ignored my silly posting on his page - so it wasn't a big deal! Gorg pix on your FB page of the Josh-ster. Good luck with the scan and everything...

Can't believe you've all been having better weather than us in Spain! Still that will probably be your summer over with ! Weird that I get sunstroke one weekend and wrapped up in jumpers the next!

Is anyone elses berk baby going through a shy phase? We went to an English-speaking group at the weekend and as soon as we arrived Ryan went super shy and just cuddled in to me for five minutes or so - he's usually really outgoing so it was a bit bizarre....

Well hi [waves] to everyone else. Laters, Impy xxx

HumphreysCorner · 13/05/2008 19:31

flick my lovely-do you have to go to counselling. I just had my HV round every week for a chat which was great and I could stay in the comfort of my own homw. DH needs to back off right now! {{hugs}} Keep posting here as often as you can as we are here to support you (virtually ).

Impy-weather not so good in Lincolnshire yesterday and today. I was thinking that we might have had summer aleady. Sophie is not shy at all-definitely picking things up from Emma.

How is everyone else? Maewest, spin, Bloss etc?

Love to all

Wallace · 13/05/2008 20:27

Hello everyone I've been skimming the posts but probably missed heaps.

spin - hang on in there xx
soph - congrats! lovely name
flick - aw he is sweet

Leo is as Leoish as ever - must take some photos! He is very chatty. If he asks to do something and the answer is no he now says:

"Oh whhhyyyy?" in a whingy voice. I think he gets it from dd!

He is still a biter, but I'm sure it will pass [hopeful...] He has been having a lovley time in this weather out in the garden, playing with water and sand. He is quuite brown and his hair has gone even blonder.

Sleep - he slept through for about a week and is now waking at least once a night again - dammit!

love to you all

ceebee74 · 13/05/2008 21:26

Spin ? thinking of you. Fingers crossed that the results are ok ? and of course we will still love you

Flick ? you really need to slow down a bit (if that is possible with a new-born and a toddler). Surely now your DH will be more supportive?? I am sure you will get through this

Impy (and HC) ? thanks for your comments about Josh?s photos. I think you may have seen some before but I wanted to put a collection of the good ones on there.

Wallace ? would love to see some photos of Leo! You mean you can actually get a tan in Scotland then??

Thankfully Josh is back to his incredibly happy (and mischievous) self these last couple of weeks. He was so grumpy and miserable a few weeks back and just wanted his dummy all the time but that seems to have passed and we have our little ?Josh Bosh? back! Maybe it is right that ?it is just a phase?!!
36 hours to scan and counting??

MaeWest · 13/05/2008 22:07

Evening all Good to hear from you Spin, have been thinking of you and hope you get some good news soon.

flick - what you said about being fine until someone asked you how you were rings so true. ADs can be really useful to help you back on an even keel. Make sure you get the help you need and hope you feel better soon.

I've finally got round to putting a recent pic of the (slightly less chunky) boy on my profile. I'm loving his blondie curls atm . He's going thro a bit of a 'mummeee' phase, sometimes daddy just doesn;t cut it, which is a little wearing at times, but mostly he is a cheery little soul.

I'm starting to develop a little pot belly and trousers are getting tight, only 8 weeks but spose that everything just lets go that bit earlier second time around...

PixelHerder · 14/05/2008 16:36

Hi Girls
Just a quickie as I'm supposed to be packing though we still haven't exchanged. Apparently it will happen some time over the next few days, all being well.

Spin - got everything crossed for you that you get some reassuring news asap xxx

Flick - {{hugs}} you really do have a ton of stresses on you at the mo, what with the builders on top of everything else. It will hopefully help a lot once the house is sorted. Hope you can sort out a bit of time for the counselling as it really should help to properly talk through some coping strategies. xxx

Ceebee - Josh is just beeeeyotiful!! Glad he's back to his old self again too. Exciting about the scan, let us know how it goes.

Mae - Dom is so gorgeously bonny too, I'm having trouble now deciding on my future son-in-law between all the July boys... decisions decisions Aaaaw re the bump...

Impy - yes Emma is shy quite a lot, usually when people say hello to her (whether she knows them or not), and especially if it's a roomful of faces looking at her (eg when dropped off at nursery). She has taken to wrapping herself around my leg when i drop her off, whereas she used to stroll in without a backward glance. Is fine after a few minutes though.

Annie - thanks for the Bear Hunt info , I will go off and research it now. (Good news is that Emma is thoroughly weaned back onto Teletubbies and off the Fecking Bananas, hurrah!)

Hi to HC, Bloss, Wallace (yes do post some pics, Leo sounds yummy ) and everybody else, I know there's tons of bits I meant to say and havent but I'd better get off now, will catch up again soon xxx

spin that's absolutely wonderful news so pleased for you and R and the rest of the family!

HC!!! great to hear! get going girl

not much else to report here - building coming along nicely - should have bathroom etc all finished by end of weekend just in time for the flooring guys to start on monday , but that's only going to be a week or so and after that we have a couple of weeks respite before the decorators who are in while we are on holiday.

and the au pair search seems to be working we have anothe girl who i am just waiting for character refs from and to hear when she might be able to start but that will be a great help too!

xxx

catchingzeds · 15/05/2008 13:12

Hi everyone

Sooooooo relieved for you Spin, really great news. You deserve that whisky too!

Ooh HC how exciting! Good luck!

Mae- the beginning of a bump is so exciting! Hope you're feeling well x

Flick- I don't know how you have struggled on for so long, have been in awe of you, I know I would never have coped past the 1st week with everything you have been dealing with.

Hope the move gets sorted soon Pixel- you will be just a short boat ride from me

CB- hope you got some fab pics of the scan- you HAVE to post them! Are you finding out the flavour?

We are all well, have been enjoying the sun tho it seems to have disappeared today Hopefully it will be back for the weekend.

Thinking I need to socialise Zack a little more as he is now scared of all children his own age and when I tell him we are visiting our friends from the baby group he says "no"!

He is very chatty, in fact he doesn't stop talking and his 2-3 hour naps are a godsend

Had another appointment with the paed on Monday and he now weighs 22lbs exactly and is 79cms tall so now in proportion. He has to have another blood test in 3 months because the last test results revealed that his neutrophil count is low which is something to do with his white cells. Haven't googled coz it only shows you the scary stuff and I'd rather not know!

My sisters foster children are being adopted next week so we are spending lots of time with them, they have been in the family for 2 years now so it's very hard letting them go, but their new mummy and daddy are fab so it's going to be great for them

Right my sis is here now so best be off, she's watching Zack for a couple of hours whilst I have my thyroid appointment. Saves me bribing him with choc at the hospital!

Wallace · 15/05/2008 20:00

spin - huge huge relief xx
good luck HJC!

Hi to everyone else - just quickly adding a photo to my profile. It isn't very good quality and he isn't looking his best as he is a bit under the weather at the mo. But he is still gorgeous...of course
