i am still v strict on jacob with food - to the point that dh had to check last night if i would let jacob have any birthday cake at his aprty on saturday - bless

i too seethe and fume HC!

Just a quickie before I have to go back to work. Everything seems ok with the baby - the radiologist was really nice and explained loads more to us than we got last week! She doesn't see any problems - it could be due to various infections so they have taken blood to check for those or there is a very very very slim chance that it could be due to cystic fibrosis but this is incredibly rare but both me and DH have given blood to check if we are carriers or not. The results should be back within a couple of weeks but the radiologist was very reassuring that everything was ok.

Will catch up later

CB so glad that you have been reassured. They have to do tests for these things but it is only to rule it all out, and as she said, it is very unlikely. Thomas Land looks amazing where is it? And Josh looks absolutely adorable, what a smiler!

Happy birthday to Zack Ella and Emma!

Did my Nell McAndrew Exercise DVD this morning, god it is hard, I am going to ache like buggery tomorrow.

Who saw my thread about leaving my £50 in the cashpoint the other day? What a numpty. Have cheered up about it though as won £200 on the premium bonds this morning.

Gorge day here today, and am at home which is lovely.

Hope you and DH sort it out soon HC...

Bloss

CB, good to hear the radiologist is confident all is ok. Try not to worry, they are probably just double-treble-checking. He'll be fine I promise!

Bloss, the beer's on you then!

spin jacob has been pointing to the trial cake and saying oatcake..... he knows full well what he is doing!

i'm just glad to have got him past his 2nd birthday without chips or chocolate - although he does try to get them at every opportunity when we are out and there are chips there. chocolate he doesn't seem too bothered by so maybe he is getting dh's savoury tooth. he does lovvvvvve cheese!

cb so glad that all seems ok and agree with everyone else they are just double and triple checking - am sure the little fella will be all a ok!

HAPPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA, ZACK AND ELLA!!!! Hope you're all having wonderful days.

Good to hear that you've been reassured, CB. Sure everything will be ok.

Hi to everyone else.

Happy birthday zack and ella (sorry only remembered emma earlier )

cb - glad everything seems positive and agree with the others about them double and triple checking

flick - im the same with charlottes eating habits, she never had chocolate before her 1st birthday and hardly has it now and she never has juice, i dont drink juice and prefer water so while shes happy with water thats what she'll have If we've baked cakes then she'll obviously eat them though, im not completely cruel

Happy Birthday to Kayley and Amelia for tomorrow too!

As I've already commented on FB, CB - those Josh photos are edible!!!

Love the Roshi and Ch ones too Spin - adorable.

And well done Flick for finally getting some pix up!! Was Jacob always that dark-haired?! Maybe it's grown or something - he looks v grown-up! Lovely ones of Sam too... ah!

Interesting thread on homepage about c-sections etc... I read that article in the Guardian the other day. I feel a lot of pressure to have a VBAC (when I go down that road again) to "experience" a natural birth - but mebbe I should just cut my losses and book myself in for an elective c-section... I might end up with another emergency one anyway... What are you guys, CB and Mae planning? (as far as you can plan, of course)

DP's in Paris on work all this week... and next... and following. Least he's coming back a t'weekends but, I tell you, I am knackered. And Ry's being a bit tantrum-y and difficult. Roll on the weekend, I say!

Love to all, Impy x

ImpyChica · 17/07/2008 21:00

God, I mis-read that HC and thought he'd peed on you.... Sorry - you're probably not in the mood for light-hearted banter. Hope you're ok. You need some quality time ALONE together to talk through it all and have some fun and remember why you fell in love. Book a babysitter and get yerselfs off to a romantic restaurant on Saturday night - it's an order!

ceebee74 · 17/07/2008 21:06

Impy - thanks for your lovely comments about Josh - I agree, he is just edible

As for my birth options, after a visit to the consultant, I was pretty much told in no uncertain terms that a VBAC was my only option as what happened with Josh was just 'one of those things' and unlikely to happen again!! Still not sure how I feel about it tbh but I have to go back at 36 weeks for the final decision - part of me thinks an elective c-section would be better as 'better the devil you know' and all that! Will go and read the article now.

HC - I am sure it is just the time of the month that is causing the stress between the 2 of you - Impy is a wise woman so heed her words

x

thefortbuilder · 17/07/2008 22:28

ceebee - if you want an elective you need to put your foot down - after all the problems i had last time and delivering by emergency at 32 weeks i was being pushed towards a VBAC despite having high bp all the way through - so i put my foot down and demanded to see my consultant at every visit and talked it through with him and got an elective.

yes Jacob's hair was always dark - he is a real mini me with Josh whereas sam is totally my colouring, except his skin is really golden, which i hadn't really realised until i saw him that close to another baby!

have done my neck in which is the last thing i need in the preps for saturday - carrot and pineapple cake made today, along with home made cheese straws and cookies! only ate 2 cookies so not too bad there, although dosing myself up with hefty pain killers means i am feeling a bit nauseous!

hc hang in there my dear

Beadmum · 17/07/2008 22:44

Happy birthday Kayley and amelia for tomorrow, hope you both have a lovely day

re vbac - i was told when charlotte was born by csection that i would prob not be able to have natural birth again next time and csection would prob be my only option, bit scary if they are trying to force you into a vbac though cb, its your body so push for what you want. I was hoping that when the time comes again for me that i would have an elective csection rather then maybe having to have an emergency csection again.

Wallace · 18/07/2008 08:29
