Congrats cb on another boy and good luck for wednesday

Got a friends wedding on monday so dh and i are taking charlotte up to my m&d tomorrow and my mum will bring her back on tuesday, have to say im looking forward to the break

Evening all - hope the scan goes ok on Wednesday CB, and great news about a little bro for Josh. We've decided not to find out this time, seem to remember DS was wriggling around too much to be able to tell last time anyway.

I'm feeling those first flutters, and may need to seek out some mat trousers as walking around with my flies undone is starting to look a little uncouth

Had a very busy day so just having a quick 5 minutes rest.

Re naps and sleep, I was all jubilant as Emma had two naps last week (after not having one for ages) but boy we paid for it during the evenings as she would NOT go to sleep. First evening we brought her downstairs a couple of times for 20 mins as that usually does the trick, but that didn't work - was about 11pm when she conked out. Second night we did proper CC for the first time ever - she yelled for nearly an hour but it did work in the end. Felt vv mean though.

Been doing lots of painting over the last couple of days, SO much to do!!! Anyone know anything about extensions? We have to start planning one, yikes.

And {{{BIG HUGS}}} CB about the scan - must be v worrying for you, even if they assure you that it's nothing serious - your mind can't help going into overdrive. I'm sure it'll be all fine and they're just being overcautious. Try not to get too worried sweetie.

Just back from a nightmare camping trip - idea being to escape the intense heat of Madrid - did that alright!! V v v cold! And rained most of Saturday. Didn't sleep well for people shouting, traffic jams made us arrive v late, Ryan was car sick and then on Sunday, when the sun finally came out, DP was ill and we had to come home early!!! Oh well - got to live the bad moments to appreciate the good ones

Joined you on the CC Pixel! We'd done it a few times when Ry was little but had to do it big time last night - he cried for two hours!!! I felt so mean but it's the only way of making him sleep well in his cot - if he came in with us, which is what he wanted, none of us would have got much sleep. Cruel to be kind. Kills me when he's calling out "mama, mama!"

DH took Mimi to the clinic today, for her 2 year check thingy. He couldn't remember her weight or height so I'll have a look at her red book tonight. All is well though (I knew that!) She wanted to stay at the clinic and play there...
Tomorrow Joey's nursery is going on a Teddy Bear's picnic, weather permitting, so DH has roped his mate in to come and help him! Should be sweet.

In-laws back again tomorrow evening, for Mimi's birthday. We are hoping to get some time off this time, just DH and me. Already one day is gone, cos DH wants to play golf with his dad, one day is Mimi's birthday, one day is the BBQ, so that just leaves one other day. Can't see it happening really...

Happy Birthday to all those lo's I missed last week.

The holiday was good. DD and DS are both besotted with my db and his gf so we actually got almost a whole week on our own as we got dropped by both kids in favour of db when we arived. DS is just adorable at the moment, his speech has come along loads. He has taken to wrestling DD to the floor and laying on her or dive bombing on you from the settee.
He is obsessed with diggers or tractors and we had to visit them all on holiday. Luckily for me he isnt into much tv as he doesnt get chance with DD, his shouts of joy for Barbie are a bit concerning though

We're awaiting delivery of a play house which should hopefully be arriving today - sometime! Other than that, Emma has been slightly unimpressed by her first present of a plastic boat as she had to have a bath with it, but hopefully the day will improve for her

Am going to attempt to make a banana birthday cake this morning - the PILs are coming over this afternoon. We've also bought her a bucket and spade so may manage a trip to the beach at some point.

giorgia our au pair loves cake! which is great as i'm trying yet again to lose weight so don't need to be eating trial birthday cakes have decided to do shaped number 2 and chocolate, sandwiched with either whipped cream or chocolate butter icing - what do you all think?

sam is now only waking once in the night! 420 yesterday morning (would have been great except jacob woke about 6 times before that, and was in our bed), and then this morning at 1am, then went till 7am! heavenly!!!

anyway, must away, jacob's n ow strapped hiself into his trike and yelling trike and parrrrrrrrk at the top of his voice

kbaby-glad you had a lovely holiday.

DH came home in a perfect mood yesterday as if we had never argued-thing is, I dwell and seethe and don't forget so easily. Have just had 2 yummy choc chip cookies. Went to Tescos first thing and all shopping put away so relaxing with a cuppa. Sophie is sat yawning at the same time as eating her cookies-bless.
