Well I cut down DS nap but hes still the same at bed time. Cried last night for 40 mins and kept shouting 'out, tele, rain'
Hes become quite clingy at the moment so I put him to bed tonight and he went down better so maybe its just DH he has it in for. Hes become really jelous of DD. This evening he was playing and then DD said she wanted to sit on my lap, as soon as he heard her say that he came running over and pushed dd off my lap so he could get on resulting in a fight between them.
Kayzed- Those pictures are good. She looks more like you now. What a scary story.
HC- Dont worry DS has a boy version of sophies bike and cant reach the pedals on that yet.
Off on holiday to cornwall on saturday with parents and db and sil, should be fun as were all sharing one huge house. Im sure we will be ready to kill each other when the week is out.
See you all next week
xx

Hi all Have been skimming the thread to keep up.

Many happies to those babies(!?) who are already 2. Dom only just squeaked in as a July baby and has to wait until 31st.

Getting podgier, more knackered, feels like there's too much going on in my life.

P.S. Annie - in the words of the song 'are you OK?'

thefortbuilder · 03/07/2008 09:13

Wow spin, a whole 10cm taller than the Sophster. Happy Birthday to Roshi for tomorrow. You are probably asleep now.

Happy Birthday to Jake.

Annie-

flick-am all but don't even know what sashimi is or Nobu?

kbaby-have a lovely time and hope the weather holds out.

Impy-they really shouldn't do reports at 2 years old.

ceebee-great news about your new car, always exciting trying to work out how to switch the lights on and work the radio.

Better go as ironing is calling. Hi to everyone else.

happy birthday roshi when you next see this spin! and she too is taller than jacob except i haven't had jacob measured for a while - he won't keep still long enough

HC - nobu is a japanese sushi restaurant in london and sashimi is slices of raw fish and spin, reluctantly i think it was the champage, wine and then mojito combination that did me in , that and being woken up about 45 mins after i went to sleep!

must go, two wingeing little boys to see to!

ImpyChica · 03/07/2008 18:24

Happy Birthday Jake

And BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW ROSHI!!! Hope y'all have a wicked time.

Oh and yes CB, people are quite Rafa mad here - but looks like there are on MN too!!! Just saw a pervy thread about him... If he wins Wimbledon and think Spain will take the rest of the year off - too much celebrating!

Just off to bake a cake for Ry to take into nursery tomorrow then will have to bake another one for Saturday... cripes! It's just all go!

Happy Birthday to Jake for today and Happy Birthday for Roshi tomorrow

Impy - have to say I am a bit Rafa-mad aswell (although I do blame pg hormones ) - will definitely be hoping he wins Wimbledon!!

HC - glad you asked what sashimi was as I thought I was the only one not 'in the know' I don't think such exotic things have ventured oop north yet!!

Annie - glad you are ok - and don't be worrying us again!!

Rhinestone - are you going to find out what flavour you are having at your scan? Or do you want a surprise? Mine is a week tomorrow and I am DESPERATE to know - the wait is like bloody Chinese torture!!!!

I think I have got my names sorted aswell (I know it is VERY early ).

Hi Girls

Just a quickie to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Roshi for tomorrow!! Hope you all have a fab day with a million lovely cupcakes Gorgeous gorgeous pics Spin, they do look so lovely together.

and Happy Birthday to Jake for today if you're there Kosh

Fab pics of Sophie and Emma HC - they do look like they get on well. Sophie has so much hair - v v pretty!

Good luck with ttc Beadmum

Glad you're Okay Annie - how were the outlaws?

Ceebee - oooh only a week and one sleep to go till you can find out I was the same, really wanted to know. Are you or Mae due first, sorry can't remember the dates?

Impy - how mad is that report - did they write a critique on his algebra as well?!! Good luck with the cakes.

Re napping - Emma has now officially dropped hers I do put her in her cot if she's being too unbearably crabby, but she doesn't sleep and soon yells to get out.

Am enjoying our new life so far - you'll probably be shocked but I took her to our first toddler group since she was about 5 months old today As she has always gone to nursery it's something I've never bothered with. But it was great - I was dreading going and had to really talk myself into it, saying if it's awful we don't have to go back etc etc but it was really lovely and friendly, in a purpose built brand new building with great outside space with brilliant toys. And free - all you have to do is bring fruit, bizarrely (for all to share at snacktime). As she won't be going back to nursery till I get some work, we'll be doing lots more m&t stuff I guess.

Well better get on - DH is out tonight so I'm catching up on recorded episodes of Desperate Housewives, hurrah!

Hi to everybody I've missed, will catch up again soon xxx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!! Hope you had a lovely day and that Mummy and Daddy can relax with a few tintos now!

Spin - blimey, full on or what, better start girding your loins for next weekend now!

ImpyChica · 06/07/2008 11:52

Ah, thanks for all your birthday wishes - means a lot to me. Ryan has had a lovely few days - big party at his nursery on Friday and then a wonderful picnic party yesterday (12 adults and 6 kids). It coincided with the gay pride parade here in Madrid - all the buses/floats were lined up just outside the park where we were hanging out - so we had free music!! (Great at first but then it got a bit loud... my ears are still ringing!). Ry crashed out in his buggy on way home so DP and I were able to have a sneaky drink (and naughty fag!) in a terrace - result! (Thanks to Pixel's telepathic powers!) Got home at 10pm.

Glad Roshi had fun Spin, and hope you have a great birthday too. Sounds like you've got a mental amount of stuff on!

LOL at HC cutting grass topless, Flick!!! Weather can't be so bad in Lincolnshire if you keep burning, HC!

Love to everyone else, Impy xxx

thefortbuilder · 06/07/2008 11:59

the weather is so grotty here in london now that i am having to spray tan myself to keep up the illusion!!!!

our au pair arrives today for the summer!

HumphreysCorner · 06/07/2008 13:49

Lol at cutting the grass topless-had a bikini top on.

flick-what will the au pair do? Will she clean etc or does she just help out with the children. Do you only have one for the summer-what happens after that? Sorry for being nosey but am fascinated.

Impy-sounds like great fun in Espana.

Pouring with rain today so my light tan is also fading.

Love to all.

Afternoon all

Impy/Spin - glad Ry and R both had fantastic birthdays - Spin, I know how you feel about next weekend as we have somehow ended up with 2 parties I booked one at a soft-play area for Sunday morning to save me the bother of tidying/catering etc - but have somehow fallen into having a family party at home on Sunday afternoon - so twice the expense and the housework....grrrr!

Flick - I am also fascinated about the au pair - it is definitely a London thing (dare I say) as I cannot imagine anyone up here would even know what an au pair is - let alone use one

Pixel - glad you have settled in and are managing to find stuff to do with Emma - it is such hard work entertaining them now isn't it? So much easier when they were 2 months old and just needed feeding and sleep

Right, am off now to ogle Rafa watch the tennis

Ladies,
don't ask me what I've been doing not to have time to post, it doesn't seem like I've done anything! Spose it has been a bit hectic the last few weeks really.
Mimi has become very naughty, poor Joey gets pushed around a bit, so the naughty corner has come into use, even though it doesn't really work! She hates being left there though, so maybe it is having an effect. She has become quite clingy, wanting to be carried everywhere - I really thought that phase had passed months ago.
Sometimes she's incredibly frustrating, she doesn't listen to me, ignores anything I ask her, and runs off laughing her head off when I want to change her nappy/put cream on/brush her hair. But then at the same time she's incredibly cuddly and funny and loving and just adorable.
She had her introduction day at nursery last Friday. I thought it would be a breeze as Joey was there too, so I sat in for about 15 mins, and then snuck off when they were all playing. Got a call 20 mins later to come back as she was upset, she had just realised I was gone. of course as soon as I got there, she was fine!
Snuck off again til the end and when I got back she was upset again as there had been singing and clapping (too many kids!). But the following Tuesday, she wanted to go again when Joey was going!

Must go for now, dammit, 64 Zoo Lane is finished.
