Oh Bloss, prawns can be the work of the devil. Hope you are puke free. Sure you will be fine. Hope your day was better yesterday.

spin-Sophie is now 80cm so has grown a tad. Now in some 12-18 month clothes. Bit baggy and long though but lots of room.

Impy-didn't Spain do well?

kbaby-oh what a night!

Hi Annie et all.

Fell out with DH over the PIL joining us in the caravan. He was suggesting us going for a weekend and I told him only if it was us or I wasn't going. He is not a happy bunny. He said he would post 2 thank you letters and when he went to work he had put them back on the worktop-gggrrrhhh. One of them is for his cousin's daughter who had a baby 1 year ago-she sent a card with £10 in it. I am very grateful of course but she has never sent any type of card in her life and I never have so why start now? Her DD was 1 the day before Sophie but I didn't send a card as I never see her and don't want to start something that goes on until they are 18ish. Can't really afford to either-am dreading her sending Emma something. DH doesn't know why I am flapping about it but as he doesn't deal with any cards, presents, party organisation etc he won't understand. Well, if he doesn't post the letter then she doesn't get thanked and it will have to be on his conscience. Sorry about the waffle.

Oh, and the PIL & SIL&BIL have bought the girls a big trampoline. Bit fed up of them spending money and me having to feel grateful. The girls love it though.

Had better see what Sophie is up to.

Love to all.

so far so good - puke free. Had a huge row with Dh instead this morning. Then got to the station, bought ticket, paid for parking, silly cow rings to cancel meeting. At least I hadn't got on the train. Unlike the consultant attending with me....

Dh has called and we are friends again, fed up of rowing in front of the boys though, would hate for them to remember a rowing set of parents when they are older, I would be devastated. DH says they will remember us being funny and loving and having fun too...I hope so. He needs to chill out about stuff, and not explode when I put a dirty t-shirt back in his drawer. If he put his washing in the laundry I wouldn't have would i! Haven't got time to individually check each item FGS! Rows are always about such boring things aren't they?

Yeah HC - they were amazing!!! I was so made up - was sure Germany would win in the last few minutes like they usually do! Gorg pix of your girls, they look lovely (and u look v skinny!)
Good luck on the caravan negotiations... course you want to have a holiday to yourselves.

Gorg pix too Spin. The one of Ch and Rosh together is adorable.

Think the workbench will go down a storm, CB. Ry got a plastic, noisy, flashing lights one last year that he loves - you can't go wrong with tools and the like!

Hope the arguments clear up Bloss - doesn't sound fun. We've been having a couple recently cos I went back on the Pill for first time in 8 years - and now remember why I went off it last time - I turn into super bitch from hell and go right off rumpy pumpy! (So works v well as a contraceptive!)

Hope all's going well in new house Pixel. Must have been v stressful time. Glad Emma was so good for you - phew!

As to naps Kbaby - Ry still has up to two hours in the day then sleeps from 7.30 till 7.30 usually (though the insane heat this last week has meant he has been waking earlier, which hasn't been fun!)

Hi Aggie, Bead, Wallace, Annie and everyone else.

Whose birthday is next? I'm sure there are a couple before Ryan's on Saturday...

Hugs to all, Impy xxx

ceebee74 · 30/06/2008 19:42

Impy - was thinking of you last night when the footy ended I din't really mind who won in the end and Spain did deserve it.

Spin - what gorgeous photos!! That bike of Roshi's is huge - I would never dream of buying Josh one that size, am I keeping him a baby too long ?

HC - gorgeous photos (again ) I don't blame you for digging your heels in about the caravan - surely your DH would like a weekend for just you as a family no?

Bloss - don't worry about the rowing, as your DH is right that your 2 will remember the fun times more! Me and DH keep rowing too - although it is mainly about sex as he can't understand why I am not in the mood - something to do with being 4 months pg maybe??

I have the week off this week - yay! Josh going to nursery still so got lots of tennis watching, sleeping etc planned DH is working from home all week though and seems to think I will be running round after him all week

I am sure I have a list of all the birthdays on my other computer so will try and find it and post it later on.

hi ladies!!

we're back! had a great holiday although poor sam suffered after we got there with lots and lots of trapped wind. screamed pretty non stop for the first three days till we got the french version of gripe water which really helped him. few rows with dh i nthose first few days but we got through it and all a lot better in the flick household now, although huge argument on our return because he was being a prima donna about the decorating

jacob's vocab has just exploded now! we have lots of commands - lie down, cuddle me, come with me, what is this, 1 2 3 blast off, go all blacks, go black caps (nz rugby and cricket), o'h dear, and lots of words about sam - brother (while pointing or hugging him), ham (sam), baby crying, and so much more besides...

the rental car was the source of hours of entertainment for him and silly me forgot to put memory stick in the video camera so we got loads of dvd footage but no pics. jacob is brown as a berry despite factor 50!

kbaby for the wall writing i'd go for 8 or 2 or 3

happy birthday for sophie - HC you are a skinny minny!!

getting ready for jacob's party here - we have about 12 of his friends coming so it's bound to be manic! got all the stuff for the party bags, the bunting has arrived, and just got to go and hire my "2" cake tin! that and sort the food out, but i'm going to cheat and order it all in I think we have got him a g-bike (made by micro scooter people), loads of books, some paint, hand paints, and probably loads of other bits by the time dh and i get through going totally OTT for it! the party bags are looking pretty fantastic as it is!

anyway, must away have a shop to order as we've got b**r all in at the moment!

hi to everyone else will catch up a bit more later

ceebee74 · 30/06/2008 20:44

Happy Birthday Bella!!!

Was scratching my head as to who was Roisin - then realised that's The Roshi! Duh!

Pavlovthecat · 01/07/2008 21:24

Hey all, I just wanted to say

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

To all our children born in July!!!

DD is now 2 [proud mummy emoticon]

And, today we went to the beach, just before it rained. We were there long enough for me to go in the water with the kayak and the body board, and for her to drag the body board back to the water and try to go 'surfing'! She was jumping the waves with me holding her under her arms, completely naked, no nappy of anything...first time she has jumped the waves, and she loved it. Absolutely squealed.

In fact, she has been squealing all day. Lots of sharp intakes of breath going 'huh!', 'wow' 'look' although it took about 5 minutes to convince her the presents were all for her. She kept picking one up and saying 'baby birday' 'baby birday, no bella birday, baby birday' (been to some at nursery!), when she realised they were hers, she ripped the paper off with a professionalism only seen in toddlers .

She has had fun fun fun, hardly any tears, only cried when she could not take her new baby doll (who has been glued to her all day) onto the beach, but only for a few minutes until she saw her new wheelbarrow!!!

She is having a party on sat, unfortunately only one other child there, as others cried out for various reasons, holidays etc, but a good few adults to celebrate, its outdoors in the woods if its nice out, so pray for good weather (if not, does not matter, she has a toadstool tent which can be set up anywhere!).

I hope everyone has as much fun as DD did - two years old already!

Pavlovthecat · 01/07/2008 21:29

Oh, I had not even read any posts before typing!

Belated birthday wishes to Sophie - how is she now?!

And thank you for the birthday wishes for Bella - its lovely that she is remembered, even though I am so slack these days! .

prettymum · 01/07/2008 21:48

Happy belated birthday to bella, glad you had a lovely day.

Hi prettymum - nice to hear from you

spin - v.scary story, glad roshi ok, no wonder its taking a while for your nerves to settle. wow, weather sounds awful, bet you cant wait til your summer.

What a gorgeous day yesterday, we were out in the garden all day and had a bbq for tea, then last night was v.v.heavy rain, whats with this weather?

we have decided to ttc now we have moved, got af on monday so nothing this month Does anyone else have siblings in same room, we have just moved into a 2 bedroom house as was all we could afford in area we wanted, however there is room to extend, although we couldnt afford this until i was back at work so not for a few years yet. We were thinking it would be fine for them to share until they were about 5/6 years old, what do you all think?

Have a lovely day everyone xx

thefortbuilder · 02/07/2008 16:11

hey beadmum - good luck with ttc!

isn't the weather shite today?

xxx

HumphreysCorner · 02/07/2008 18:39

spin- isn't it truly frightening when they run faster towards danger?

Beadmum-come and join me and ceebee here Maewest did pop by once I am already on cycle 3 so come and join in the fun-it does help pass the time and they are a fab bunch on there.

Am watching the match-quite pleased it was delayed, means I can watch in peace with a glass of vino.

Waves to everyone else.

HumphreysCorner · 02/07/2008 18:41

Meant to say Beadmum-Emma will have to move into Sophie's room when we eventually have No3 and this will be a permanent arrangement as we aren't going to move or extend. They get on well now so long may it last!

Hi Pav and Pretty - good to hear from you.

Scary about Roshi, Spin. Terrifying. Thank Crunchie you got to her in time. The telescope sounds fab - you know I'm a geek for stuff too (Apple macs, cameras etc)!

Good luck TTC, Bead! I'm sure having two in the same room will be fine - we might have to do that in a few years time given the way the property market is going... would be a squeeze but needs must!

Hope the weather improves for you both in UK and Down Under... won't annoy y'all moaning about how I can't sleep from the heat here...

Got Ryan's report from nursery the other day - v funny. All v good but "doesn't concentrate v well during assembly" (wtf?!) and "goes wandering off during activities". He's just a lickle baby!

Anyway, tea has been served so better say hasta luego... Impy xxx

ceebee74 · 02/07/2008 19:49

Evening all

Prettymum - hi, lovely to hear from you

Beadmum - good luck with the TTC and I can't see any problem with them sharing the same room - go for it!! Tis fun

Spin - no wonder you hadn't calmed down - it is awful when they just run off isn't it? Josh did it the other day - DH had accidentally locked us out of the house and was on the phone to his boss so he couldn't come and open the door - Josh took the opportunity to escape and just ran across the road (fortunately we live in a quiet street!) with me trying to chase after him in my high heels - DH got more than a mouthful when we eventually got in the house.

Impy - can't sleep because of the heat - pah!! Who needs hot weather eh?? Are you watching the tennis - is Spain Nadal-mad like we are Murray-mad??

HC - am also worried about Annie but am sure she will be back soon and let us know she is ok.

Bought most of the stuff for the party bags too - oh and a new car Will pick it up in a couple of weeks - can't wait, although I will be very to see my little baby Ford KA go - but practicalities of life with 2 babies has left me no option!
