Ceebee- We havent eaten it yet. I cant bear to, all that hard work!

Not much to report here, Dh is having major tantrums and throws himself on the floor at any opputunity and DD excells in winding him up and taking whatever it was he may have looked like wanting to play with. Joy!

Whose lo was seeing a consultant about his weight? DS is still eating thin air and is now down to 24 lbs/10.8kg's hes dropped from the 50th to the 9th centile.

Heres a pic of DS taken on Saturday. He hates having his pic taken so tends to go for the mean and moody look.

kbaby-he looks lovely and has grown so much. Sophie only weighs 24lb but is following a low centile. Your DS looks fine to me.

Off away in the caravan tomorrow until Monday the 2nd so will 'see' you all then. Emma and me in a confined space for a week-aaarrrggghhh!!!!

Kbaby - lol at your post - do you really mean your DH is having major tantrums and throwing himself on the floor a lot?? Your DS looks absolutely fine (and very cute) and I really wouldn't worry about the weight thing. Josh only weighs about 24lbs and has done for at least 3 months now so is starting to slide down the centiles again. He also seems to exist on fresh air at times - certainly at home anyway. Yesterday, for example, I did fajitas for tea and Josh ate some grated cheese and a couple of bites of a tortilla (and that was after only having a couple of mouthfuls of marmite on toast for lunch!) My only comfort is that I think he does eat ok at nursery so at least I know he is eating well 4 days a week.

HC - have a fantastic time at the caravan - hopefully Em will behave herself a bit more as she is on holiday

thefortbuilder · 27/05/2008 12:05

kbaby WOW!!!! that's amazing - and second the thoughts about your ds and his weight - he looks fine and very very cute. jacob also seems to eat very little some days and is so active he's put on very little wight in last 3 months. he's just about mnaging to stay on the centiles but will rapidly slide soon i think. but he's happy most of the time and very very very active so i know he is burning it all off that way.

still not keeping his glasses on well though. and has started hitting sam and me badly - naughty chair is in play now which he hates so that is something - it does seem to be having some effect at least. had words with dh aobut disciplining ds yesterday - basically he's a big softy and doesn't back me up. so we had long discussion at the end of which he agreed with me and apologised for not backing me up and has started doing so, which is a huge step forward. his mum had fed him a load of c**p about jacob hitting because he has rough and tumble time with daddy and was maybe getting confused - er no....he is hitting me and jacob because he is threatened by the baby and jealous - and does it through the days when dh at work so i'm not sure how he's confusing it with rough and tumble play with daddy then....

anyway, things are better in the flick household since i got diagnosed and dh being very supportive and at least cutting down on his drinking which is also a great sign. he's in cannes for work for 3 days next week so he can drink himself silly there and get it all out of his system - he's purchasing me a gift on the way out so that's all ok too!

managed to get out in the garden today and rescue the paonies, massive rose (that has taken off this year) ,and pot on jacob's sunflowers - anyone else doing sunflowers this summer? we should see whos gets the tallest (ours will die soon enough as i'm not a great gardener so we have no chance!)

and the update on the building works.....the flooring guys have managed to damage the new marble hearth that was fitted with the fireplace! they have scraped black marks along the edge of it which may or may not come out - waiting to see what we can use on it. the dark stain for the floors is not drying evenly, so we are going back to white painted everywhere, and they are getting on quite well today. so it's only the cupboard round the boiler and then the decorating and a few little bits and pieces to be done after that!

anyway must go work to be done!

jeZUZ Spin, i think I'm gonna lose my lunch. That is truly grossarama.

And yes, despite H driving me doolally, and despite knowing it would be utter madness I cannot help think about a third ALL THE TIME at the moment. It would be truly crazy to do it, sanity wise, work wise, marriage wise, money wise, house wise, everything wise but I can't stop thinking about it....

Good luck HC. I hope she is as good as she can be. Take a pasta jar reward scheme with you?

Bloss

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 27/05/2008 16:38

Spin, that was a truly lovely story. I will tell my mozzies all about it as I tuck them in and put them to sleep...
Seriously, you do get some humungous critters over there!! Can you not keep an ant-eater? (this was one of DH's money-making schemes once! Hiring out ant-eaters... I dunno...)
Also got hammered on Saturday - a late pub lunch with some friends, and lots more wine when we got in and I didn't cook...

Flick, glad things are improving. Sorry to hear Jacob feeling his little brother is upstaging him, I suppose it is inevitable though at some point. Big hugs for Jacob.

HC have a lovely holiday!! (HC has already left and is trundling down the motorway as we speak) I'm sure Emma will be a good girl.

Kbaby, fab cake. You can never eat it!! DS looks grand and healthy to me! They all go through phases of eating/not eating. He'll be grand.
I have no idea what K weighs, nor what centile she was ever on. She looks ok to me!!

Some recent photos for you non-Facebookers:Here comes the summer

Sleep is improving I think. She stayed in her cot last night til around 2am, and even then she was nearly persuaded back to sleep until she realised I wasn't in the cot with her! And then Joey woke to her screams so I gave up...

Jom, good to hear from you!

I best go girls.

spin am shuddering at the thought! but......and look away ladies now! when i was a toddler and we lived in sierra leone, my mother had to pull my fingernails out as one afternoon i had picked up what i thought was a rope in our garden and was actually a procession of bull ants, or the west african equivalent. they fastened themselves underneath my finger nails by their pincers...

makes me feel sick just thinking about it! you are very brave to have got rid of them

ps nights are much easier - as long as we manage to get a 930ish feed into sam he goes till around 200 and then just wakes for a cuddle at around 5 so comes into bed (or on the sofa) with me until 730 or so. he's growing so well and when i've downloaded this weekends photos i'll post some more - jacob in his wellington lions top (looks like a dress)looks very sweet! and not at all lieke a tough rugby player

ImpyChica · 27/05/2008 20:41

Blimey dudes! You've really turned my stomach tonight - thanks! (it's not helping that the local news keeps showing a matador getting stabbed up the bum hole by a bull's horn.... ouch!) Flick the fingernail pulling was too much! I guess you don't remember it - I really feel for your mum, don't know if I could do that in a similar situation....

Amazing cake Kbaby - [bows] we're not worthy...

LOL at Mimi's "bips"!!! Gorgeous pix on FB, Annie... they're both so yummy!

Hope you're doing ok CB and Mae. Blimey Bloss - I remember you saying that you'd only ever have two! Funny how minds start changing....! I've been totally broody for ages but I'm determined to wait a good year or so more before TTC. Want a decent gap - and we only live in a two/bed flat so it'd be a bit tricky to have another one until we move...

Hi Jom and everyone else {waves}

Everything fine in the Impy casa. Bought some of those foam pillows at the weekend that mould to your neck/head - and am enjoying not having neck pain for the first time in ages - highly recommend them! (though they are pricey...). Ry is scrummy. Trying to copy words all the time - so we're gradually getting there on the talking front. Likes to grab my hand and pull me to my feet to dance in the living room. He makes me chuckle!

Well, hugs to all.

TheGoddessBlossom · 28/05/2008 09:51

it won't happen Impy, I'll chicken out.....

Got Toby's "School report" from nursery yesterday. Highlights include:

"Toby's language skills have developed in leaps and bounds since his last report. He will repeat most words very clearly and enjoys a "chat"!"

"He loves to play on the cars and bikes in the garden and his ball kicking skills are fantastic, another ronaldo of the future!"

"Toby is a very caring sensitive little boy. He becomes concerned if another child is upset and is always ready with a cuddle. He enjoys group play as well as one to one and he has a brilliant sense of humour"

"Toby has a lovely character. He is so easy to care for and a very contented child."

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! My clever boy.

I love these reports and have kept all of them from both boys, interesting to look back on them and see how they differed at the same age.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 28/05/2008 21:08

You like my new name?

May keep MaeWest in reserve tho...

kbaby · 28/05/2008 22:24

lol ok didnt notice i'd put DH instead of DS

I have my final weigh in at WW tomorrow before our holiday. I did lose 9 lbs but this week have celebrated DD's birthday with her most days by eating out, eating cake etc and have a feeling ive gained most of it. Plus the fact that I am sat her typing this with my jeans undone makes me think i.m now way off my goal weight.

Ive depressed myself by checking the weather on holiday, out of 7 days its raining or cloudy for 5 of them ive even checked about a million other weather sites just in case I could find one that gave a good sunny forcast.

Flik- Weve potted out our sunflowers so im up for a good bit of competition just to make sure I keep watering them!
Bloss what a lovely report.

Thanks everyone for the reasurance with DS weight.

thefortbuilder · 29/05/2008 11:03

kbaby one of ourse keeps falling over because jacob keeps pulling the skewer holding it up, out he is hilaroius - he disappears for a few mins and then you see the top of his head in line with the pots on the low sills outside our back doors and then he just kills himself laughing when he realises you're looking at him!

[bloss sheilds eyes from Maewest's new persona to aid typing]

Spin that's so funny, Toby and H Love Brum too and both call it bum. As do I of course.

Kbaby, I think DS looks fine too weight wise. Wishing you gorge weather hon.

Have had a lovely day. T had opthamology appt this morning, so H had morning at Grannie and Grandpas where he gets spoiled rotten. They have an amazing house and garden, perfect for hours of adventures and exploring. Doc said T probably only needs patches for another few months but will need a squint op in about a year. Prob glasses till his teens. He is good at wearing them tho so that's ok.

Have had a great afternoon at a friend's house who has had one of those extensions that makes their kitchen ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE, you know the drill, HUGE island, HUGE skylight, MASSIVE dining room table in it with chairs, and STILL room for a corner with two easy chairs table and lamp, and STILL ooodles of room for kids to ride on scooters and play toys all around the island etc. And the back wall is ALL french windows which open up onto big garden. Tres jealous. It was lovely.

Think of me tomorrow morning at 10am, when 8 kids descend on my house. Not sure how it got so big, but having one girlfriend over with kids turned into having 3 and one of them has 3 kids. Gulp.

Hi ladies!

Well just after saying the sleep was getting better we had two horrendous nights. Mimi didn't have a nap during the day for three days, and then the last two nights we just AWAKE ALL NIGHT pretty much. DH got up to watch telly...
Then yesterday we went to the wildlife park and she fell asleep on the way back in the car and slept for about three hours. Then last night was a good night again... I think she must be Maggie Thatcher...

She did however, do a poo and wee on the big toilet at bedtime last night!! Yaay Mimi! She was already in her cot and told me she needed to go, I didn't believe her (she's tried that too many times!) but after a few minutes she seemed genuine, and also Joey was insisting that she needed to go!! So I took her in and she sat on, and gave a running commentary of everything that was coming out!!
'A wee wee now, mammy'
'Another wee wee, mammy'
'uuuh, pooooo pooooh'
'oh, a pump now, mammy,
'a wee wee!'
etc etc etc

It took about 15 minutes, and by the time I got her dressed and stickered, Joey was asleep and she dropped off not long after!
Bless her.

Bloss, how's that houseful of kids!? What a fab report for Toby!! You must be very proud.

Spin, kbaby, well done on the weightloss.
Roshi sounds like a real fun girl so she does!

Must go girls, dissections to do...

Better be better by tomorrow morning, our flight is at 7am and its my worst nightmare to be ill on the plane.

Hi Girls - just a quickie to say hi (am supposed to be sorting stuff out still, and DH is on the MN warpath)

lol at life revolving around poo, yep it does!

Well done to Kayley - that's amazing that she can even go into detail about her farts. Am in awe!! And well done to Roshi too at least she's getting as far as the bathroom which is more than Emma is yet!

Poor Annie - hope you all get some sleep this weekend.

And hope you have a quick recovery kbaby - get the Immodium out...

Hi to everyone else (sorry am v behind) xxx

Emma is fine - newest and most exciting thing in her life is her first pair of Crocs, she loves them, they are pale green.

Oh and Annie I keep meaning to say, Emma is very into Peppa Pig now (hurrah) - she keeps coming up to me requesting 'Pig?' BUT - don't the pig family's heads look rude, especially Daddy and Grandpa Pig's??? DH sniggers every time they come on (and so do I of course).

Aren't these new smileys VILE? They all look deranged.

Have good evenings all xxx

Twinklemegan · 31/05/2008 23:59

Hello everyone, sorry it's been so long. Spin made me feel guilty when I saw her on another thread. I'm so pleased to hear your news Spin - that must be such a relief.

Interesting all this talk about potty training. We have a potty but we really haven't started any training yet. I'm kind of thinking I'll wait until Aidan takes the initiative, but maybe he won't? He's so funny when he has a poo - he just looks at you really worried, waves at you and says "Bye! Bye!" like he's embarassed. And I always know when he's done anyway because he says "no poo poo" and shakes his head, even if I haven't asked him!

He's generally very negative at the moment - the answer to everything is no. Anyone else's like this at the moment? He's also being very very clingy to me. A funny incident the other day was when DH went to get him from his nap. He was yelling, "No Dada! No Dada!". I turned up, and he turned to me and went "MaMa!" really affectionately. Then I took him from DH and he snuggled into my shoulder and went "Aahh" - it was so blatantly aimed at DH, it was hilarious!

Anyway, that's enough from me for now. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow, but we have no broadband at our new house so I'll see if I have enough patience. Hope everyone's well, especially those up the duff. xx

I just remembered I uploaded some to the Truprint site the other week. These are about six weeks old.

TheGoddessBlossom · 01/06/2008 14:04

hi everyone. Am ensconced on sofa, T in bed, H fishing with DH, bliss.

Talking of poo and potties - got both ours out last night on a whim. (one for upstairs one for downstairs) Have decided to just have them around all Summer like I did the Summer before H was 2. He was easy to do, but am not assuming the same for T, but will try doing it the same anyway. No pressure, no forcing, just have it there and he can use it if he wants. Well he sat on it before his bath last night, and did a wee! Cue huge cheering, chocolate treat, YOO HOO etc. Then this morning he wanted to sit on it while we read a story and he did a poo and a wee in it! I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but good progress!

Saw Sex and the City Friday night, it was great really enjoyed it.

House full of 8 kids Friday morning was surprisingly stress free. It was so nice not to be bollocking H all the time, there was a 4 year old boy who was naughtier than him, so REFRESHING!!! Also was the first boy H has come across that fights back, so that was a good lesson learned. H has actually been good as gold the last few days, the pasta jar reward scheme I read about on MN sometime is really working....

Bye for now.
