Gill: sounds like he has an infection where the bcg site is. What did NHS direct say? Poor little man! Sorry about the frustrating shopping trip, too. Sods luck.... I've resorted to only buying things on the net (not that it isn't without frustration, but less so than trecking somewhere only to be frustrated!)
Sarah: sounds like you had a fab day at the beach. I refuse to go to one until I can at least look decent in the family photos (yes, I know, vain!).
Tyaca: It's great that you are making progress! It will come of, don't worry. The best thing is that you are getting fit again (more that I can say for myself. I still can't but much weight on my ankle, so I know I won't really start losing weight until it gets sorted and I can run again).
Egg: You ARE supermum. Taking care of twins and a toddler at the same time. I feel completely inadequate in that I can barely take care of 2 at the same time!
Lovely weather here for Bank Holiday. I made the mistake in thinking that I could take baby and DS1 swimming alone. It was a complete disaster, resulting in the 3 of us in tears, and most of the members of the club I belong to thinking that I was a completely inadequate mother....
DS1 wanted to swim outside, but I told him no because the baby would get cold. He proceeded to have a tantrum and ran outside. I wanted to get out of the pool after half an hour, as I thought any more would probably be bad for the baby's skin. DS1 has another tantrum. I drag him into the shower room, get myself undressed when DS1 says he has to do a pooh and runs out to the poolside again to the loo there.
I shower, thinking he'd be OK, with the baby lying on the shower mat. A woman comes in asking for DS1's mum, and tells me that my son in screaming for me hysterically, and that he needs me to wipe his bottom. OK, there's me with shampoo in my hair, naked, baby on shower mat beginning to cry, and wondering what to do. She grabs the baby and tells me that she'll watch over the baby, and I run out to the pool, sudsy hair and naked except for a small towel wrapped around me, to my son, who is surrounded by several mums and the lifeguard. I quickly wipe his bottom and shove him back in the shower.
I thank the other Mum and apologize mumbling that I shouldn't have tried to go swimming with two at this stage. She looked at me with a dissaproving face and tells me that she did it with 3. Made me feel like crap.
So, long story but I have inifinite awe for all those with twins, and especially you Egg!
I'm going swimming again with DS1 tomorrow. Needless to say, I've booked baby into the creche for that hour!
