I'm on facebook too.... ah, I see you have all found me

Mine - I give Ben half a weetabix with his formula mixed in for brekkie

PM - Wow two teeth no sign of teeth for Ben yet but he is beginning to really roll around now, he can go front to back and is nearly there on the other way round

LisaLessLumpy · 31/03/2008 09:25

Oh, just to add don't be offended if I don't accept any of the invites on facebook, I don't use it that much

TheLadyEvenstar · 31/03/2008 09:53

I am on facebook as well look for Vaunda

muppetgirl · 31/03/2008 09:57

Found you!

My friend started me on this yesterday as she said that she thought I was the only person she knows not on it!

TheLadyEvenstar · 31/03/2008 11:54

lol Muppet i love it

nellieloula · 31/03/2008 15:17

Hi everyone - thank you so much for all your lovely messages. My girl is tongue tie free You were all right - it was fine!! Not feeding her in the night was so difficult, but when she woke up for her 5 am feed, I just pretended it was morning - so got up, got her dressed, sang songs etc and after about 30 mins or so she was distracted enough to forget. Hospital itself was fine - the staff were all great (big difference having it done at a children's hospital) - the anaesthetic part was pretty grim and leaving her was just awful but she was back in recovery screaming for a feed within 40mins. And to see her little face when she realised she could put her fingers under her tongue was worth every second of concern!

Absolutely shattered now - so going for a quick nap whilst DH has the kids. but will be back on later. Just wanted to say hi, let you know that she was a star and thank you all again. really appreciate it. x

Mine · 31/03/2008 15:40

thats brilliant Nellie!!
Both you and DD were very brave.

Thanks for the breakfast cereal tips ladies. I asked the hv today and she thinks weetabix is fine even though it has a teeny weenie bit of salt and sugar in it.

She also said it was ok to move him to the next stage in food and get him to eat more 'family' meals, just without the salt and spice..... even garlic is ok which i thought would be off limits!!!
I'm very pleased with his weight (19lb 7oz) at 23 weeks, but am sad he's no longer a baby, baby IYKWIM...... i almost miss those days.......

Muppet you defo are the only person on the planet not on facebook!! You can find me on there too.

LisaLessLumpy · 31/03/2008 16:11

Afternoon all.

Nellie - so glad all is ok with dd. Ben has a tongue tie too but it doesn't seem to bother him on the bottle, so I have not bothered getting anything done with it. My HV said alot of the time they grow out of it, I just need to keep an eye on it especially when he starts to talk.

Well I have been to see the dermatologist. It has been confirmed that he has atopic eczema which is apparently genetic. Food can sometimes make it worse but it is not just down to that. The upshot is that for the next few years I will have to cream him up a couple of times a day and just hope it lessens over time. He has prescribed some stronger steroid cream for the worst bits and some different emolients. Hopefully the creams can keep the worst of it at bay as long as I keep on top of it. At least I now know what I am up against. The only downside is, that it is possible he will get hayfever or asthma too, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't.

PolarMummy · 31/03/2008 16:52

Nellie, so pleased everything went well, I am sure it was just awful leaving her but well done both of you for being so brave

LLL hope the creams work for Ben, I think eczema must be horrible, esp for little ones hope he doesn't develop hayfever or asthma.

Well Zoe is really getting the hang of rolling, I went up to get her after her morning sleep today and not only was she on her tummy but she was upside down!!

Dalrymps · 31/03/2008 17:05

nellie - so glad everything's ok
LLL - glad you know what it is now, I had excema as a child behind my knees and in my arm creases, I did grow out of it, it occasionally flares up if i'm stressed, usually on my neck but I just put some HC45 cream on it, I have asthma too but smoking for 4 years didn't help that, escapd the hay fever. Anyway just thought i'd share so you know he'll most likely grow out of it .
Didn't manage to make any purees last night cause i got stuck on the sofa and couldn't be bothered to move so gonna try again tonight...

ejt1764 · 31/03/2008 19:03

nellie - glad to see everything's ok!

LLL - I had excema as a child, and still get it when stressed (on the sides of my feet, of all the bizarre places), and am v. severely asthmatic, and have some horrendous allergies ... but it hasn't really had a negative effect on my life - you just get on with it - so don't worry too much.
Am loving the new name btw!

muppetgirl - congratulations on doing the facebook thing - I must be the only person in the universe without a facebook page - but I do spend an inordinate amount of time on ravelry (like facebook, but for yarnies ) ... round 2 of the yarn smackdown starts tonight - think I'll be out this round - my opponent is in California, so has a 9 hour lead on me!

alice, dal, j20, mine, hello all!

Baptism went wonderfully well yesterday ... Mairwen was sufficiently recovered for it to go ahead - poor child still isn't well, and we've had a horrendous week with her - hence my absence!

Must go ... her ladyship requires feeding ... not officially started solids yet ... probably go for it this weekend ...

AnyasMum07 · 31/03/2008 20:13

Nellie - so glad op went well. Hugs to you and lo.

Muppet & LES & Polar - woohoo on teeth!

Lisa - poor you with a hangover. Hope you're better today.

Muppet - not the only one not on Facebook - I daren't, I wouldn't have the time!

Have tried Anya with a cup - she does drink from it but she looks a bit confused! I'm sure she'll get the hang of it. Mine - we had a weaning talk at playgroup the other week and she said Tommy Tippee beakers are best - they're free-flowing so they're a bit messy but they're recommended by dentists apparently.

Had a lovely afternoon with FT. She dragged me shopping and forced me to buy lovely clothes for Anya . FT - think I said Anya was 13lb 11 a couple of weeks ago? Of course I meant 14lb 11 .

Must go - dh has cooked dinner!

muppetgirl · 31/03/2008 20:21

nellie - really pleased for you, must be a huge weight off your mind. I'm glad all went well x

LisaLL- I'm glad you got a diagnosis for Ben as now he can have, hopefully, more effective treatment.

Well, I've been nursing the toilet all day which is a little difficult with a baby and a 4 yr old who's desperate to get outside! Also I cooked pancakes for Ollie which are my favoutite things in the world and I can't eat anything today!!!!!!!

alicet · 31/03/2008 20:51

Nellie great news all went well today

Lisa good news you have been given some sensible advice to help Ben

Ejt good luck with next round of the yarn thingy!!!

Um - sorry forgotten what else has been said. I too have discovered facebook yesterday and am seriously concerned that I will never have time to do anything in rl with that, ebay and this ! Really lovely to find out what people I haven't seen for years are up to though...

Nellie; Glad it went so well, I'm so relieved and happy for you..we (Anyasmum and I)were thinking of you, honest(as we ate our rather scrumptious lunch at the trafford centre)

LLL; hope the new treatment gives Ben some relief

EJT; Glad the baptism went well but terribly sorry to hear that mairwen is still not well..I do hope she recovers completely soon.

Muppet;Oooh, not nice...I know it is necessary to see what is wrong..but what a way to do it..well done on resisting the pancakes, just think of the wonderful result at your next weigh in!

Polar; good to see you back and wonderful to hear of Zoes fabulous progress.

Dalrymps; hope you got the purees done

We had a lovely afternoon shopping today..little girls clothes are just so gorgeous and Anya looks adorable in her new pink jacket...Alexs new outfit is rather lovely too, but I might just go back and get that suit from Next for him too!

Dalrymps · 01/04/2008 08:26

Morning everyone!
Before I say this appologies to anyone who's lo is not sleeping well...
Just had to tell someone, Dylan went to bed at 21.40pm last night and woke at 06.45am! So 9hrs straight and he didn't even wake to have a grumble, nothing
I finally managed to make some purees, made carrot, apple and one with sweet potato, parsnip and carrot, they're all in the freezer waiting to be popped into bags .
How is everyone today? It's sunny here!

Dalrymps · 01/04/2008 08:28

By the way, has anyone thought of any new name suggestions for me yet?

Mine · 01/04/2008 09:21

hi folks

off to weightwatchers in a mo, am scared as i think i may have undone some of my good work but hey hoo.

I tried ds on weetabix for breakfast this morning as suggested by... Muppett.. i think.... anyway i LOVED IT!!!

muppetgirl · 01/04/2008 12:37

'Saffy' from ab fab (not a compliment imo!)
and 'Rosie' as I used to live on a boat. (Rosie and Jim)
