Well?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 14:32

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to like what we get, it's not as if we have to pay for it. I just really like the new sport estate.

My car, however, is a fucking heap! It keeps stalling and not starting and it needs new tyres and all sorts. I wish I hadn't bought the sodding thing now!

Hurrah! Ds has just fallen asleep on me! Now to sneak upstairs and try and put him in his cot without waking him up!

I am dull, I've not spoken to you guys for ages and I come back on and talk about cars!

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 14:32

Hi everyone.

MAybe I'm not that allergic to chardonnay, I now have a stinking cold. I just thought it was that cos my sis was telling me about histamines in wine? It never happens with anything elsse

I should go and put the shopping away, wash the dishes and make soup. Just letting baggins have a little crawl before he has to sit in his sigh-chair and watch me. He had a long nap in the car so probably won't sleep this afternoon. The weather looks grim again.

foxythesnowman · 25/03/2008 14:36

Aren't the histamines in red wine? Don't know about white. Never had a problem with it myself

Good to see you all again. Been very quiet on here.

I have to go and get ready for swimming now. Arse.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 14:38

yup, bugger off again you dullard

so we can carry on our chat about....erm.......whatever scintillating subject we were talking about

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 14:38

I know nothing about it foxy. She is much cleverer than me (and is able to give up drinking.

Soup!

foxythesnowman · 25/03/2008 14:40

Go Ria. Get on with it!

And I will go and get my cossie on, sort drinks and snacks and pack the car.

bollocks.

foxythesnowman · 25/03/2008 14:41

Daisy while you are here - any advice on biting baby? LO is taking chunks off me, and now it looks like a top tooth is coming I'm scared!

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 14:42

I used to get an itchy nose from red wine sometimes.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 14:46

apparently screaming fu*g hell in pain when baby bites and scaring the bejesus out of aforementioned baby is not the answer foxy

good advice here though

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 14:47

Mine started doing that again Foxy. Then I screamed and he cried and he hasn't done it since.
Sorry, not very scientific response there.

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 14:49

Good x-post there

Well it certainly worked here!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 14:49

Yep, I agree daisy! Scaring baby does NOT work! I have to really concentrate when feeding ds, if I let myself get distracted I end up bitten as he makes very clear signs when he is about to clamp down eg wriggling and grunting!

foxythesnowman · 25/03/2008 14:54

Yes, if she's pissing around I know she's more likely to chomp. I hope its not attention seeking.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 14:55

DD is almost fully on bottles now . I just couldn't take the biting any more. I fed her last night and i was so tense all the way through it. Everytime she unlatched I was flinching, expecting the bite. I've taken to feeding her with my finger hooked and ready beside her mouth. Not a happy expereince for either of us, whch is why she has rapidly gone off the idea I think. she can bite the bottle teat as much as she likes though, and she has taken to formula like you wouldn't believe. I'm trying to feel upbeat, but I feel quite sad about it.

Oh, my BIL called last night and asked DH and I to be godparents to one of the twins. I've never been a godparent before so am quite excited, although a bit worried about finding a decent outfit for church though

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 14:59

I was like that daisy when ds went through his biting phase. Always tense and expecting the bite! I did the hooked finger ready and waiting thing too, but luckily it seems to have been a passing phase and he hasn't done it for a while.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 15:01

V cool about being a godparent! I would feel the same about outfits though, I don't think shabby chic boho goes down too well in a formal church environment! I saw some lovely floaty chiffon type dresses in M&S the other day. One of those with a suit jacket over the top would be ok?

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 15:02

Don't be sad Daisy, you've been through such a lot with the bf, you have done brilliantly
Take a rest, and before you know it you'll be starting all over again.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 15:06

i think my body is giving up on it as well. I've been BFing her through the night and first thing and the odd daytime feed. this morning though, I didn't get any letdown at all, so all she had was what was in my boob, then guzzled 7ozs of formula.

I'm bloody pleased with what I've achieved though, considering the thrush and the blocked ducts and the mastitis and the thrush and the blocked ducts and...did i mention the thrush? I'm looking forward to the break for a bit before the next onslaught starts!

I'm off to look for christening otfits. It's not till the middle of May and I'll be about 14 weeks then, so probably looking quite pregnant!

foxythesnowman · 25/03/2008 15:06

Ahh, Daisy, don't be sad. Physically its very hard going, bf whilst pg. Before you know it you'll be at it again. I certainly found I was desperate to give up bf DS2 at 6 months. I wanted to be 'normal'. You've done brilliantly. Now rest and recouperate before everything kicks in again.

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 15:09

We were passing the church here on easter sunday just as it was emptying out, there were girls in extreme mini's, I didn't think that was allowed
It was totally pissing down, so quite funny too.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 15:14

what do we think of this?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 15:19

I bet they all had lovely legs as well sputnik! Bitches!

That dress is lovely daisy! You could wear a beige or black suit jacket over the top to smarten it up in church. I just had a look on funmum, blooming marvellous and jojo for you and there is bugger all on there.

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 15:20

That looks nice Daisy, and not obviously mat-wear. Hopefully you won't be needing full-on mat wear at 14 weeks.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 15:22

pmsl sputnik, i look like I'm 6mo pregnant already

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 15:31

I've just given dd my old Polly Pockets that I found earlier whilst tidying and she is in raptures of delight! She has been warned never to let ds play with them, I do not want to be fishing small plastic dolls out of his nappies!
