Hi everyone, god twice in two days well i must be doing something good, Connie got her self off the settee today now she just keeps wanting us to put her on the settee (because she cant do it herself at the moment but that will be next week the way she's going, oh and driving a car wil be the week after) so she can get herself down again "little madam" she thinks it's so funny, oh and she said "sh1t" well she is at times must stop calling her a "little sh1t" even if it is ment in the cute way, when she was 6 months old (on the 7th) my DS's asked if we could have a praty for her bless, my boys even sang her the b-day song, she loved it, mind you she loves all music but loves "Mika" the most!
BK soon! BMxx

hi everyone - yuck to all the poo stories - we have an up the back, need to be cut out of clothes poo at least once a week.

even though it's absolutely pissing down we've just had a nice day out at kelvingrove (museum in glasgow which is free!!). DD1 was so excited to see dinosaurs .

helibee have taken a note of your mobile - will text later.

oh need to go...

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 29/02/2008 15:34

Hello folks, just got back from the wacky warehouse, we wasted about three hours there which was good. I bought the three kids helium balloons in there so naturally when we got out it was blowing an absolute gale, anyway, struggled all the way home with the bleedin' thing batting me in the face, and just as I put my key in the door, it made a break for it and sailed away over the tops of the houses. Bah!!

There didn't seem to be much for babies there, but I played with James and we sang along to some songs and he seemed to have a nice time. My friends little girls were exhausted by the time we left, money well spent!

I've just been and bought a pg test, haven't done it yet cos I was dying for the loo when I got home. I'll let you know the verdict later but I'm pretty sure I'm not (hope I'm not, I think dp would pass out)

at your clever girl, BM! Yeah I spose you'll have to watch what you say now you have a little copycat on your hands! My dp doesn't swear that often but he has a particular fondness for the c word, especially when driving. I've told and told him to stop, after all they don't even say the c word on tv, so imagine if james said it? Everyone would know it came from home.

They grow up too fast BM, it's hard to keep up.

Glad you had good days M2weegirls and James.

Fingers crossed for you James. I'll check in later for the results.

well we survived the earthquke with only a few bits of concrete falling from our roof.

not much happening here. ds2 is getting v frustrated at not being able to move on his tummy. he wants to stand all the time & makes a real effort to walk. He's really enjoying the food tho - was so funny watchog his face a the pear kept slipping out of his fingers. I bought one of [http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Fresh-Food-Feeder-Pack/dp/B000GK5XY2 these] to put lippery fruit & veg in - that way he can chew the food & the plastic handle doubles up as a teether.

my house is a tip so I'm guessing this weekend will be spent folding washing & picking up mess.

Bogwoppit · 29/02/2008 17:27

oops can't get used to this links thing!
this is what I meant

Knickers, you ok today? what are you confused about?

Ooh, that's an interesting gadget bogwoppit, when it comes to pear I just give him great big wedges with the skin on, as it gives a bit more grip than without. I end up giving him the whole pear as most of it gets chucked on the floor or mangled to death, but quite a bit does go in now. He had a toasted teacake yesterday and ate it all up for lunch, with his daily pear (no cheese though, he's being rationed!)

Well, in typical fashion after shelling out for the pregnancy test, as I went to the bathroom to test I realised my period had just started! dp ordered me straight back in to test anyway as he wanted to be sure, but no I'm not pregnant.

wow. congratulations!

GillL · 29/02/2008 18:53

are you relieved that you're not James or quietly disappointed?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 29/02/2008 19:07

Big congrats Knickers!!! (if you want them that is? were you hoping for a positive or a negative result?) You're the first aug 07 mummy to get pregnant again, although there may be more as we've lost loads in the past few months. Any idea how far along you are?

Gill- I am absolutely relieved not to be pregnant! no part of me is secretly disappointed, I'm quite happy to wait a couple of years before getting pregnant again.

Incidentally, that'll teach you for wearing your knickers on your head rather than your ladyparts!

Does your other half know yet? How does/would he feel about it? These things take a while to sink in, for both of you. When I found out with James I sat open mouthed on the loo for 20 min then walked around in a shitscared daze for hours til I told dp, then we both walked round a shitscared daze for about eight months days!

OP posts:
JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 29/02/2008 19:23

Aaw, great then.

Dp was horrified incidentally, in denial for months. He is at this very moment in time blowing raspberries on his delighted and squealing sons naked tummy!

helibee · 29/02/2008 19:23

congratulations knickers, that is so exciting for you.

I think we'll wait till Callum is a year before trying but as i have pcos and can't guarentee AF when supposed to its very frustrating

leifmum · 29/02/2008 19:24

hi knickers! not 'met' you before but big hugs! your head must be all over the place! hope you're chilling out as much as is possible to do with lo and giving yourself time.

james - i'm happy it went the way you wanted it to. keep meaning to moan about the thread title - SKINNY JEANS?????
how did your landlord visit go the other day?

well dd has mastered commando crawling and is speedy gonzales! not good! went to swimming lesson yesterday which we enjoyed and it exhausted her. always a bonus.

not good news on job front. definitely no funding for new position. can't remain in old job part time so will have to go down a grade or two. having more discussion on monday about options. bit down about it really.

did anyone watch dawn gets a baby last night? it brought back so many memories! made me cry when baby was born. hope everyone has nice weekend.

big hugs again knickers x
