Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

welcome back spina

AQ - I hated being pregnant both times. Hopefully the tiredness and sickness will stop soon.

On my own tonight so DDs both in bed early.

jabberwocky · 27/02/2008 00:26

FGS, I hated it too. I tend to look back at the better moments - brief though they were! - but overall being pregnant was a yucky experience for me.

Indith, have the ABs kicked in for ds yet?

Indith · 27/02/2008 12:25

I loved being pg. Though I admit the first trimester was not as good as the others.

ABs seem to be kicking in, sleep has been had. Though the child who loves his paracetamol and ibuprofen so much he grabs the syringe off you and shoves it in his mouth hates them and is the master of spitting everything out. Last night he got into such a fury that he threw up. All over me. When I was about to leave the house. But it is Wednesday! I have a few mins on here post Russian before going to get the boy. The week is half done.

Hello Lucy and Spina!

Lucy that is some good teething you've been having! Almost a full set already!

Congrats Sacha too then!!!!

AQ, do you think dh will buy the line "we have to have another kid now as AQ and i need to be able to compare notes on MN"?

It's bad that the only time I get to MN is when I'm off work with sick child

On a positive note, ds1 and I did make mud pie(rocky road) yesterday so I'm plonked in front of laptop, cup of tea on one side and chocolate fix on other.

Jabber,no look on the period front for me.I got that back months ago but at least they're calming back down to my relatively light ones!Sorry TMI! I'm finding with b/f, that I'm at that point now where I could go on forever. I get to wear Not-good-for-feeding tops again, as I'm only first thing/last thing feeding.I even went away on a hen weekend and expressed once and got back into feeding when I came back. It would be more hassle not to feed but I was only planning to feed for 12months.So I'll have to put them into retirement soon. I'll be soooo glad to burn my nursing bras though. I feel so unsexy.

spina · 27/02/2008 13:30

Oh Dear. just got the call from nursery. sick child no 2 needs picking up. at least i'm getting "value for money" missing work!

If ds2 is anything to go by, I'll have another week of high temps leading to diarrhoea and vomiting.(at least I've got a week off work next week)

Looks like I'll be spending my birthday on Tuesday playing nurse. Which is what I wanted to be "when I grew up".

Take care.

bebespain · 27/02/2008 15:31

Just a quick one so to speak Ds has been napping for 2 hours and I can´t quite believe it, keep checking on him and not enjoying the quiet time like I should as too busy feeling paranoid...ridiculous I know but this is not normal!

Think it must be all the fresh air as we´ve been to the park quite a bit this week and DS loves it but why oh why won´t he stay in the enclosed area where all the other little uns are in preference for walking off to the big bit? Silly question I know just ignore me

Oh and Huge Congratumulations to our expecting ladies - well done!! Yeah!

magnolia74 · 27/02/2008 15:54

Well hellloooooo strangers

Sorry I have been away for so long
Life just got so.........shit

Still not great but better than it was.
Congrats to AQ and Sacha on the pg's. I would say I am envious but of course you will all say I'm mad

Ds1 is almost 15 months, walking, about 10 teeth, doesn't say a lot but point at everything and puts his toys away when I ask him to

He is not sleeping at all Nearly threw him out the window last night! We have had chicken pox but its all gone now so at least its over with.

I promise to keep up with this thread

spina · 27/02/2008 16:49

Hi magnolia. Hope life continues to improve.

Now have two sicky boys at home
(seven pieces of rocky road in and counting....
xx

jabberwocky · 27/02/2008 19:49

Hey, magnolia, I was wondering about you just the other day. Glad things are improving at least. Do you think ds's sleep problems are teeth? Ds1 was a horrible sleeper adn it drove me mad. I got ds2 a womb/heartbeat bear and ds1 (who at 4 1/2 is still not a great sleeper) asked for one too. I got it and he is actually going to bed without such a big fuss.

Spina, sorry about the sick little ones. Ds1 and ds2 both have colds atm. I'm hoping it stays mild.

magnolia74 · 27/02/2008 20:48

I am bidding on a vtech lullaby thing at the moment, hoping it will work

FunkyGoldStar · 27/02/2008 21:03

DD2 seems to have discovered Pooh bear for bed. She has her thumb and has never bothered with any other comforter. The other night she kept pointing at her box of teddies on the floor next to the cot so I put her down, she got Pooh bear out and went to bed with him. Since then she insists on having him to go to sleep. Trouble is he's only little and falls through the cot bars

spina · 28/02/2008 11:25

I've got a Iggle Piggle dependent child. he evens crawls up stairs and to his bedroom if you ask him to go find IP for a nap. AHHH! What IS it about the Night Garden? Do you think it's subliminal messages. Both of mine are mesmerised by it.

magnolia74 · 28/02/2008 11:37

DS1 loves it too, its our routine now to watch it at 6.30 then slow songs on music on demand before bed

FunkyGoldStar · 28/02/2008 11:48

We love Iggle POiggle too. DD has the Blanket time one and plays with it every day!

Indith · 28/02/2008 11:50

So have you finished the chocolate yet Spina?

Welcome back Magnolia

I have a thumb and doudou dependent child. Doudou goes everywhere. He is needed for sleep and must also be around during the day to be swiped for a little cuddle when needed.

Had consultant appt today. Knee is buggered and need keyhole surgery and then physio to sort it. Will mean a few weeks on crutches which could be fun with 2 littluns.

spina · 28/02/2008 12:00

no haven't finshed chocolate. dh discovered how yummy it is last night and he's wroking from home so I don't give it long
I think it's only fair to leave some for ds1 as he made it on tues and is so ill,he even declined tasting it yesterday.(he's a sercet girl whenit comes to chocolate, which is my fault as I "trained" him to appreciate chocolate while pg(with him and his brother)

spina · 28/02/2008 12:02

FGS, sorry was typing at same time as you. Crutches,oh dear. is that definate?

magnolia74 · 28/02/2008 12:04

FGS, Sorry to hear that, do you have family near by to help or can dh get time off work. Crutches and childcare really don't mix well do they x

FunkyGoldStar · 28/02/2008 12:13

Lol, No Magnolia they wont!

Should be in about 3 months. Dont really have family near and DH has is own business so taking time off is hard but we'll have to cope. DD2 will be walking by then which should make things easier

magnolia74 · 28/02/2008 12:25

Oh blimey, are you near me in Surrey??
Maybe for that time you can get a cleaner/ironer or even advertise for a retired lady to be a substitute granny for a few weeks??

Indith · 28/02/2008 15:12

OH FGS very sorry But best for the long term no?

Poor BP [hugs]

Indith - yes better for long term but hard to convince yourself when it doesnt actually hurt at the moment!

DD1 just got into our top choice school in the next county. About 15 min drive every morning which is a pain but by far the best of the bunch for her .
