Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

Olihan · 22/02/2008 21:25

Ooh, hello Eli, was wondering when you were due back. Sounds like a fab holiday, dd2 dramas notwithstanding. At least you're chilled out and spring is just round the corner now.....

accessorizequeen · 22/02/2008 21:43

Oooh, hello tanned Elibean, nice to have you back although I'm sure you'd rather be in the Caribbean!
Oli, wahey indeed, it will be sooo much better all round I'm sure. Incy wincy sounds fab, can't imagine it but v.cute I'm sure. Nothing so clever going on here, just NO WALKING. He is so lazy he won't even put a spoon in his yoghurt and put it in his mouth. I have to put the spoon in and then hand it to him. Am I pandering, I think so but I gave up after 10 mins of screaming. Thank god for my hip seat, it's a godsend these days.
BP, back sounds dreadful and presumably you have to be careful with co-codomol because it's addictive so what happens then?
Realised tiredness as much due to emotional upheaval as the actual pg, mum pointed out I might have a red-headed lo this time and that's strangely lifted my mood (both parents red-heads you see)

jabberwocky · 23/02/2008 00:36

Indith, sounds like you've had the extended ear thing like us Maybe it's on its way to clearing up now.

Oli, I got ds2 a womb heartbeat bear and it has really done wonders for getting him down in his bed.

eli, at your time in the sun. Poor little dd2, though. I have read that babies can be prone to asthma if they get infected with RSV early on. But I hope she doesn't have it. I hate having asthma.

FunkyGoldStar · 23/02/2008 02:50

Hi Guys, slight bout of insomnia here so thought I'd say Hi.

Elibean - welcome back! Sounds like you had a lovely time but a shame DD was unwell. Thanks for the info ref DHs lightbox. That is what I am hoping will happen.

I had a chat with DH last night to say that I am either affected by SAD or PND. I am emotional, irritable, not sleeping, catching every cold around etc. We agreed I'd try the light box for a month and see if it makes a difference and if not I would go to the GP.

BP - Hope your back improves. I went to a cranialsacral therapist a couple of years ago and I'm sure she worked on backs. She descibed it as the body being made of of muscles packed like chicken fillets in our body and if they get out of sync you can get all sorts of problems. Might be worth trying something a bit alternative while you wait ?

AQ - I spoon feed my DD her yoghurt. I cant be bothered with the mess . She eats everything else with her fingers, even spag bol but something about yoghurt and I just cant do it. LOL. As I recall DD1 didnt confidently use a spoon by herself until about 2 even with lots of encouragement so I'm in no hurry.(and she still prefers fingers to a fork).

DD2s tummy has been fine for a few days so I've started giving her a probiotic yoghurt drink which seemed ok, then she had a fromage frais and within 12 hours had loose poo again so we're back off the dairy and I'm going to book an appointment with the GP. I worked out the other day I have been there 6 times so far this year for me and bth DDs and have my 3rd hospital appt of the year next week

castlesintheair · 23/02/2008 09:17

Bonjourno!

Welcome back Elibean, though I don't really like you anymore

FGS, I hope you got some sleep. You are having a rough time of it. Your list does sound quite familiar to me. I've just come off very mild ADs (which I was took for 6 months for anxiety) and I haven't reverted. I feel pretty much as I did when I was on them. Being on them gave me the clarity to realise stuff I couldn't when I was all blurry and anxious. It also gave me some respite. Hope you get things sorted, as they say in Eastenders!

I am in a very weird mood today as it is a landmark birthday for me tomorrow and everyone is sick and noone has done anything for it My birthday is always the pits I just thought that this year might be different. Sob sob sob ...

Am ok really

SachaF · 24/02/2008 17:20

AQ, I spoonfeed yoghurt here too! Like FGS I just can't bring myself to let him have the spoon, there's only so much clearing up I can do! Yet he self feeds absolutely everything else (soup soaked bread rather than soup itself!). He gets two spoons for his porridge in the morning but prefers his hands, only uses the spoons if I've put porridge on it.
Eli, Carribean, sounds fab! (apart from dd2's probs). I was meant to be planning an Easter hol (peak district) but we are now going to do something last minute if I'm not feeling sick (have converted van, can travel!)
FGS, fingers crossed for you, if the lightbox works then you have both the knowledge of what you have AND a solution all in one!

SachaF · 24/02/2008 17:27

Castles, [hugs] from me, every so often it's nice to have a fuss made! Oh, and, re-reading date on posting, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

OP posts:
Indith · 24/02/2008 20:00

Ds still not well here. Still sticking fingers in ears though goo seems to have mostly stopped again. Still waking in the night and writhing arounds crying for an hour or more and after not having a poo for a few days started going again yesterday, horrible thick sticky ones the colour of bf baby poo with added bright red streaks

Shall be on the phone to Dr as soon as they open. Hopefully we will sort the ears out and then can see what is left apart from the perpetual teething

OP posts:
FunkyGoldStar · 24/02/2008 20:30

Poor DS Indith. Hope doc can sort him out. I'm not having a good day

Indith · 25/02/2008 07:53

Hope you've had some rest FGS and that today is a better day.

Been up since 4.15! Ds has literally just gone back to sleep. Couldn't even go do something useful like the shopping as it is Monday so Tesco doens't open til 8 (normally 24 hours) Poor dp had to go get the train to Ipswich at 6.30 and won't be back til gone 11pm. He has declared his intention to sleep in the loft tonight! Told him he could so long as I get my turn tomorrow

OP posts:
FunkyGoldStar · 25/02/2008 17:35

Indith, I hope you've had a bit of rest today and DS is feeling better.

I had a better night's sleep last night and my cold is starting to go. bit of a problem with company accounts which as a pain and shows why I shouldnt have done them when ill a couple of weeks ago .

Anyway, DH is back late tonight so I can fix the accounts when the girls have gone to bed.

i think that DD2 may just be back to her usual happy self. She let my friend pick her up today which she hasnt let anyone do for about 2 months. And she's giggly with DD1

Indith · 25/02/2008 17:50

Well he slept for a grand total of 45 mins and has gone to sleep again now. Not sure how wise that is but I think I'll leave him for an hour, wake him for some dinner then parcel him back off to bed

Have antibiotics and Dr says blood in poo could be related to ears and bugs he has been having but if it doesn't clear when the ears do to bring him back.

I have sinusitis again, can feel the pressure building behind my teeth My turn at the Dr tomorrow, blast it with ABs early, cannot be doing with leaving it to clear up itself!

I just don't seem to be able to leave off worrying about ds at the moment

OP posts:
Indith · 25/02/2008 17:54

Hope you fix your accounts without too much trouble FGS!

Reminds me, must phone woman who needs to audit my Rainbow ones.

OP posts:
FunkyGoldStar · 25/02/2008 18:18

Indith - write down all those symptoms for DS and tell the doctors. Seems a lot for such a little on to take.

Accounts are fixable, just annoying as the accountant will have to do accruals and things I dont understand but as long as it balances all will be fine.

SachaF · 25/02/2008 20:24

As long as everything has gone through double entry (or an accounting computer package) then it will balance! The question is whether the final figure is what you want it to be! That's what makes a good accountant .
Says the accountant who really ought to do her annual accounts but keeps putting it off....
Indith, hope you are getting some rest too. I agree with FGS, and when I was taking ds back and forth to the docs I took a friend with me for a visit and that bolstered me and I got some action at last!
First evening of not throwing up (so far) and only twice in the day.....hopefully this is the turning point! [fingers crossed]

FunkyGoldStar · 25/02/2008 21:03

Sacha, All went through SAGE. Sent off to accountants who processed for me and then I realised that I'd missed 29-31 Jan on company credit card. Everything accounted for and I've sent the missing transactions. They're going to do accruals or something. Seem ok with it.

Elibean · 25/02/2008 22:32

Indith poor LO, and poor you, thats a lot for both of you (in different ways!) to deal with. Is it possible the constipation caused a small fissure? Red streaks on the outside of poos (sorry to be so graphic) can easily be that, IME

You must be exhausted, the pair of you. Take a large mug of milo, a dozen fat hugs, and as much chocolate as you can bear. xxx

FGS, won't even try to comment on accounts (dh said we needed to have a small chat about money tonight, meaning he knows I'm clueless and hopeless about keeping track) but just hope lightbox is doing its thang, and glad the cold has eased. And hurrah for dd2.

I am beginning to surface from piles of laundry, jetlag, and a still-wheezy dd2 who yelled so loudly at the GP today, when I took her to have her chest checked, that GP didn't even bother trying: she gave up after the ear check, and said 'bring her back if she starts running a temperature'

Am also wondering why dd1 still has on/off itchy bits when she's been thoroughly treated for the dreaded worms, along with the rest of us, the house is steam-cleaned within an inch of its life, and we've been away in a presumably non-wormy environment for two weeks. She's next for GP at this rate

Get well small unwell ones, and sleep well their Mums, xxx

lucy5 · 25/02/2008 23:09

Hello all, Congrats on the pregnancies!!!!!!! Hope everyones lo's are feeling better. Ds still teething, he has nearly a full set of gnashers now, I can't believe it.

spina · 26/02/2008 13:14

Hello girls!!

Long Time and all that..

I've only just skim read first page of new thread.

Soooo! AQ.pg? Congrats!!!! Who else is?

I'm so jealous!!!!I wanna another baby(actaully considering Spinababe is still technically a baby due to lack of walking and has diarrhoea and vomiting at mo--I want another baby!I would happily swop him for a day or two!)Poor little mite.

I wonder whether I'd manage to read the thread I've missed or whether you'll let me just join in again and forgive me for asking daft questions!

Update on us in two very long sentence(well lists!).
Spinababe,not walking,six teeth,loves 80s music,finally sleeping through night(til 5:30am!)still breast fed(i'm addicted.

Family spin:daddy has started new job(hope it makes him happy)Might be worn down on the third child question. BigBroSpin, has not been offered the school we wanted, but the one that's OK,MummySpin, feeling a bit low and avoiding stopping b/f part due to laziness and partly due to fear of hormone crash.

Best go and phone into work and let them know I'm won't be in tommorrow.(Major marks against my name for that-we're really short staffed at moment!) I get so stressed by this bit of the working outside of home/mum thing. I HATE letting work down and my kids are hardly ever ill, but even if I had anyone else to leave ill children with,I would find it very difficult. DH stayed home yesterday and was really pissed off as work were narked. He insisted on staying home. I was happy to. Prob is I feel he's pissed off with me! I know he struggles with ill child more than I.(I have got a degree in calpol and rehydration sachets after all!)

jabberwocky · 26/02/2008 18:26

Welcome back spina Sacha is our other preggie member. She and AQ are due within a month of each other IIRC.

Sounds like you've got your hands full atm. I too am resisting weaning for the same reasons. Also, I didn't get my period back last time until I had completely stopped so there's that to think about. At this rate I may go through menopause without knowing it

accessorizequeen · 26/02/2008 19:26

Ooh, big catch up - can I manage it b4 I collapse on sofa...
Spina, welcome back You have 3 too and then I'll have someone to moan about being pg + 2 children! I'm finding the constant nausea hard to deal with, but I think this is the worst couple of weeks for it.
Indith, poor little ds and poor you. When you write it all out, a month of this is just not right. Hope it gets sorted soon - do you have milo and chocolate?
FGS, how long before you think the lightbox is meant to work, they do sound great actually. Hope it's the solution for you
Sacha, you must be nearing the end of trimester one now, I hope no more throwing up erggh! I never do, just feel like it.
sofa calls...
