Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

Congratulations BP

V glad ds better today Bebe, love the image of him on the slide!

Glad to hear you pregnant ones are resting and G&Bing and generally behaving yourselves

Olihan · 14/05/2008 22:38

Congratulations, BP . Is this the job that involves less travelling? Or was that the other one? Confused

AQ, lovely news about the scan. That they're all ok and that you've got a pink one hiding in there . If she's anything like my dd she will rule over her brothers and be the boss of the house!
I still have some size 16/18 maternity summer stuff about - my dsis has it at the mo but I'll get it back in a couple of weeks. I know there's at least a couple of skirts (can't remember about trousers) and a few casual tops so if you want me to pass them on just let me know.

Indith, hope you feel better soon. I remember the exhaustion kicking in later on in pg2 but you've got all the exam pressure as well. Take it as easy as you can.

Bebe, poor ds, it's so horrible when you have to force ABs down them. Ds2 had a couple of awful ear infections that needed ABs and he detested the ones that tasted of bananas. We ended up literally squirting it into the back of his throat and holding his mouth closed until he swallowed. Horrible but necessary, unfortunately.

No more swearing today, fortunately. He can say ds1 and dd's names now which is meltingly cute. We went to our local ice cream farm today (yummmm) and there was a clown thing blowing bubbles out. Ds2 was chasing the bubbles and shouting 'catch it', 'catch it', then laughing like a drain when they popped on him. I just want to bottle this age, it's so cute.

ZeMNetterWithZeBigBoobies · 15/05/2008 10:14

Well done BP!

WE have rain down here - it's been glorious for the last 2 weeks.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 15/05/2008 11:48

Babybystep 28 applies to all of us - Eat good food, drink your water and get some rest :)

babypowder · 15/05/2008 16:49

I agree, Oli - this is a fantastic stage. DD2 has suddenly decided that she can walk, after all, and is soooooo proud! She looks hilarious, waddling around in her huge nappy. I'm sure DD1 didn't look this funny. How is your DSis?

Hope your bebe's better, bebe.

Am off to cook fish fingers, chips and beans for tea. DD1 thinks it must be her birthday or something

jabberwocky · 15/05/2008 18:01

Congrats to your sister lennied. How fun that you two will be pg together!

More packing here. I keep looking around and thinking it should be looking more bare

Elibean · 15/05/2008 18:02

Me too, Oli - bottleable, very.

dd2's every exciting discovery (snails, toys, fallen flowers, balls, etc etc etc) are picked up, exclaimed over 'wow! Ooooo' and then she shouts very loudly for dd1 to come and see. Whether she's at home or not

BP, congrats to dd2! Would she like to give lessons to mine?

Elibean · 15/05/2008 18:04

Jabber, do'nt think there is an equivalent British or American expression, so...bon courage: every time you post about the move I remember, in every fibre of my being, past moves! It'll happen though, if thats any consolation...

jabberwocky · 15/05/2008 18:10

Lol, thanks eli It feels like it has been going on for ages now. Just ready to get the truck loaded and get it over with. I am extremely thankful that dh decided to do a preemptive move of non-essentials.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 15/05/2008 18:15

Yes, packing seems to take so long. I had no motivation to do it.

LenniEd · 15/05/2008 20:24

Thanks Jabber.. it really is so exciting. Am just hoping that we both make it to 12 weeks ok and everything turns out alright, otherwise it could be dreadful, but once I stop worrying I get all excited again!

Good luck with the move, I too would hastily forget all my moving experiences... all 20 odd of them!! (Not my choice I hastern to add, except the last 2) I hope to never move again. Non-essential pre-emptive move sounds like a wonderful idea - well done DH. I always found the best approach was kitchen first, beds second, then sleep. Next day, living room and dining table... then sleep. And so on. I also used to hold back a couple of days clothes, toiletries, drinks and snacks and bedding and travel with those in the car. That way, if the van was delayed or we were too tired, at least we could eat, sleep and wash! With DCs around that list would probably have to include distractions like toys and books too.

Congratulations BP - can't believe I didn't pass those on last night .

Am starting on the next round of essays now. Due in at the end of the month so if I get enough under my belt now I shouldn't have to stress too much at the end. She says hopefully....

Indith, any results yet? Are you feeling any better? Has been on my mind today, wondering if you are ok.

jabberwocky · 15/05/2008 21:05

Wow! Lennied, over 20 - I am extremely impressed.

LenniEd · 15/05/2008 21:48

When I lived at home my parents used to renovate places and sell them on. We would move house - not area though so much - about every 6 months. We were so good at it that my parents would never pack anything for us, and by the time we hit about 12 we would pack the whole house for them. All that wrapping and unwrapping was like Christmas! I guess it must have been infectious since after leaving home I was a bit of a nomad until DH and I got married, and we've moved every 2 years since getting married too!! Its addictive once you've got it in your blood, and once you've got a place just how you want it, your feet start itching. As I say though I am NEVER moving again! They'll have to carry me out in a wooden box

Olihan · 15/05/2008 22:09

20+ moves, Lennied, I'd be locked up if I was you. We've done 3 and that's more than enough for me. We're staying put forever now!

Jabber, you have all my sympathies, moving sucks and so much has to be done at the last minute. Lennied's plan is genius though.

BP, Dsis is ok. Still having a bit of a struggle with bfing - nipple confusion as a result of nipple shields and now weight gain/supply issues due to shields. Poor love. She's going to Singapore tomorrow to see my dad and stepmum (who is a retired mw) so she's hoping 24hr a day help with feeds will sort it out.

Have planted up all my garden tubs today - I just hope this summer is better than last and we can spend time outside. We've had lunch and dinner outside every day this week - fantastic!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/05/2008 09:36

Surprise surprise. DD2 now has chicken pox. About 13.5 days after DD1 came out with it

Elibean · 16/05/2008 09:52

FGS, hope she has it mildly enough not to be in too much discomfort, and strongly enough to be immune forever more...

Am on spot-watch here...

Done back in good and proper (thought was on mend after swim, but noo) am limping around with fake for dds feeling very silly. Osteopath time, I think!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/05/2008 09:53

I insuruct you all to do today's Flylady Kelly's mission and here is a very nice babystep too

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/05/2008 09:54

x-post Eli. Thanks. She seems ok atm but then DD1 was. She has about 10 spots I think. Have to see what the day brings

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/05/2008 09:55

Oooh we only have 5 messages left on this thread. Can someone come up with a new and exciting title for new thread?

bebespain · 16/05/2008 20:18

Thanks again ladies for all your bebe well wishes. He is much better now although still has a somewhat runny nose, must be the last of the lurgies coming out! Its really been a long one

Olihan - am really (but in a nice way) at your tubs! I really must get organised about planting some flowers in the garden - its so bare

Jabber - good luck with all the packing and the move. Arrrgh - packing for me is the worst bit, apart from the unpacking that is!

I did say this would be our last move but I doubt it somehow. I seem to get itchy feet every couple of years. The longest I´ve stayed in one house was 5 years and I really think that is my limit.

Hope the chicken pox turn out to be of the mildest kind

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 16/05/2008 20:19

I've been trying to think of a good one today and can't - so here goes!www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2330/531866?rnd=1210965507511
