EAH and anyone else with girls- Do you know anywhere I can get really simple little skirts that are not demin?

Something like this but not demin or this but without the pockets?

Wilkie · 08/02/2008 10:32

DH - Reddish Vale

Wilkie · 08/02/2008 10:35

DH - skirt?

Dragonhart · 08/02/2008 10:35

I used to live right near there and my dsis lives there now! Will ask her to ask BIL. Anything in particular you want to know?

Dragonhart · 08/02/2008 10:39

That's sort of thing I want, just not in pale pink. Ruth suits stonger colours, also I am a bit sick of pale pink

eandh · 08/02/2008 10:45

Primark often have skirts like that and they are £3 normally have a cerise pink colour, beige and turquoise blue otherwise adams occasionally (although our adams is shit so not sure) or I find Boots mini mode normally do nice strong colours (mmm will keep an eye out at lunch time and link you any I see)

Just pmsl I turned the laminator on at work around half an hour ago (to laminate some documents (obviously!) and could smell burning and had a slight panic and called my manager in to see if he could work out what the smell was and I'd forgotton I'd turned it on and its right next to me on my desk DUH!!!!

Wilkie · 08/02/2008 11:38

What's the area like DH? Will ask hubbie what he wants to know when he comes back in.

Reggiee · 08/02/2008 12:07

A new thread with 200+ messages on it while I have been away

Can't really catch up ...... but is she or isn't she ???? I can't wait to find out.

I remember the only time I was really desperate to conceive was between #1 and #2, and my normally clockwork body went all to pieces, my cycles ranged from 25 to 38 days and I even 'spotted' mid cycle. I even went to the doctors about it and she told me to chill as the mind can do some powerful things to you. She was right as a month later I was pregnant with DS1, and my cycle went back to normal. Funny isn't it ?

Vino... glad to have you back and glad to see things are ok.

Still no sign of walking yet, but thats OK.

DS2 was sick in his cot last night which is really not like him so got extra washing to catch up on. See you all later ....

laughalot · 08/02/2008 13:19

Rgee welcome back.

Right need some help guys im 30 in november and dh said we could go away on holiday. Well I convinced my mil and mum and dad to have the kids for 5 nights so me and dh could go to dubai. Found a amazing hotel convinced dh but disaster has struck . Aidan starts full time school in january and from november he starts going a few times a week for the whole day to try and get used to when he starts full time in january, so to cut a long story short dubai is off the list as I dont want him to miss those days at school and we would have taken him out of school if we went. So dh suggested we go away in this country for 2 nights in a really nice hotel. Iv picked a few places I fancy which is chester, harrogate, oxford, bath , windsor and stratford upon avon has anyone been , any ideas help ? We like to go out to a few bars on a evening and have a few drinks and somewhere with lots of nice shopping in the day.

Wilkie is away this weekend so no random poo posts from her

ladytophamhatt · 08/02/2008 21:00

Evening all, another -ve pg test so I think it was a dodgy test. Still no mention of it from Dh so who know whats going on. Feel really dissappointed by the whole thing.
I really didn't want to go through all again, but he changed my mind and I grew to be excited about another one.

I feel like he's snatched it all away from me

MABS, bless you for coming on here to find me, as you've probably read above I don't think I am and I doubt I will be in any distant furture. I'm sorry to hear about your friend...I did read the thread but words always fail me for those circumstances. If you want a change of scenery you can alway pop to mine for a cuppa if you're over this wayCAT me if you need to xxxx

eandh · 08/02/2008 21:04

Oh not sure what to say really, maybe it'll be a case of 'what will be will be'

Dragonhart · 08/02/2008 21:05

Gosh that is a bargin EAH. You certainly have an eye for them!

Thanks EAH and Laughalot Will try and look in Primark, but there is not one in Warrington so might have to have a look when we go to PIL next week. Saw some in Boots but they were a bit 'old' for me ( Wilkie). A bit tweedie or miniskirty, like something a 16yo would wear. Will keep looking.

OK Laughalot will keep it for now, unless anyone else needs it? 2happy, have you sorted that out now? If not would you like it?

Laughalot- Been to Chester and Stratford and they are both lovely. Of the two I would choose Stratford as I think there is more to see there and possibly more eating out places too.

Wilkie- for when you are back- Reddish is nice but it is a town in a built up area. There is a row of shops in the main street, a nice park in Reddish Vale, a morrisons and it is near loads of shops in Stockport, Manchester and traffod centre. Man Airport really close and only takes about 15-20mins into Manchester center. Not sure if tha tis any help, it is not a rough area but not a posh area iyswim. Dsis will ask BIL about the golf when he gets back from work. Hope 2nd interview goes well though.

Went to see some pics of Ruth and Luke we had taken at Venture today and it was gutting. My brother bought us vouchers as we would never have gone somewhere so expencive. They had so many gorgeous pictures of them and we had to narrow it down to 2 7x5. They did some really nice collages of ppictures of them and 2 of all 4 of us but we cant get one as in a few months it will be out of date!

laughalot · 08/02/2008 21:06

Eah would you like it if I came to maidstone or maidenhead as I said

Lth

Dragonhart · 08/02/2008 21:06

LTH, hope that you are and that if not you get to try again. Is it worth talking to DH about it rather than waiting for him to bring it up?

laughalot · 08/02/2008 21:08

Dh I will look in primark tomorrow for you. Oh I was thinking chester over stratford but maybe not now then.

Dragonhart · 08/02/2008 21:13

Chester is nice, just not enough eating places for me. But then food is important to me Just think there are more attractions in Stratford. After you have done the roman thing in Chester, walked around the wall and had a ride on the river (all of which are outside which in Nov in the north might be a bit of a problem!) not sure there is much more there. Shops are good but a lot of highstreet ones.

I think food is the big deciding factor for me!

Dragonhart · 08/02/2008 21:13

Thank you for looking btw!

ladytophamhatt · 08/02/2008 21:24

how weird!

Dh just called from the living room "have you done any more tests?"

I lied and said no because he'll moan about the £££££.
Then he said "have you had any more feelings?"

"Not really...and I don't think I am so you can stop worrying"

He said "So, do you want to be then?"

"yes I do"

"ohhh bloody hell" was his reply with a sort of "we are mad/here we go again" laugh.

Still none the wiser really but at least he mentioned it.
