LTH

breathe breathe breathe breathe

what happens when you leave him to scream (hattie either continue for ages or gives up after 10mins and nods off)

Wilkie · 04/02/2008 20:51

Another one for DS holding willy...constantly....all the time. In the bath he just sits with it in one hand and playing with his toys with the other....the great love affair begins eh??

LTH - is he teething?

Lizz - Ou est tu?

eandh · 04/02/2008 21:06

see I knew there would be at least 1 advantage to having 2 girls

bunnyhunny · 04/02/2008 21:08

wilkie - s does exactly that. we have a lovely pic of him in the bath - he is looking up at the camera and his eyes look really blue. on close inspection, you can see that he is holding his willy with both hands! lol

ladytophamhatt · 04/02/2008 21:15

he's asleep now. I assume its the start of chicken pox making him so miserable, hes nose is almost dripping with shot and he's been quite sleepy/lethargic today.

I can soothe a baby crying without any trouble but when they become small people nothing seems to work, especially with G. The bigs ones have smashed any patience I had to smytherines.

As for willy pulling....well, just imagine what its like here!!!!!!

eandh · 04/02/2008 21:18

I'd forgotton about G being prone to cp I found Hattie was awful 48hours prior to 1st spot

Had little to myself imagining the 5 tophamhatt boys together (just think of the girls that will trapse through your house in years to come!!) actually I may buy some shares in Lynx as all 13+ year old boys seem to spray a can of the stuff daily!

ladytophamhatt · 05/02/2008 10:33

Crap mother of the year award goes to.....

Me!!

G has tonsillitus. Acute tonsillitus according to the doctor. Poor thing, he's been in agony for days all I did was get pissed off with him.

He has anti-biotics now and guilt ridden mother whos going to spoil him allll day.

(Doc said he prob won't get CP now, spots would have apeared by now and because he's already ill with something else the CP virus cannot or shouldn't be able to get him)

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 11:55

Poor G. Hope is gets better soon.

So Luke is now on his 5th pair of shoes in 16 months! Now because his feet are so big and wide, he is in the older shoes so they cost £30! He is now a 9H.

LTH, I do not envy your shoe bill!

ladytophamhatt · 05/02/2008 13:09

blimey Dhart, your ds has bigger feet then my ds3 and he's 4!!

Wilkie · 05/02/2008 13:47

At work, can't type much:

LTH - Poor G. Bless him. I did the same thing a while ago though and all the time J had an ear infection!

Shoes - am I a bad mother for not buying any more Clarks shoes?? Will I be damaging J's feet by having him measured at Clarks and then buying Next/Mothercare in the apprpriate size?? (I don't actually think Clarks has THAT good a selection for LOs)?? Or should he be wearing properly fitted shoes??

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 13:48

Yes, he has big flappy feet. They run in the family. All of us except Ruth who seems to have managed to get tiny feet. Had her measured, although not buying her shoes yet as she is not walking, and she is just a 2F. A bit worried that when she is older she will topple over as her feet are so tiny!

My mum says my nan did have an 'Aunt Tiny' so maybe she has inherited that gene?!

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 13:54

Wilkie- Depends what size he is. Luke has a very wide foot so I cant get him cheap shoes. Of the rack shoes are a standard width (is is E or F?) and if his foot is wider than that you should get him shoes that come in a width fitting. I would always get him measured though. Startright have nicer shoes, but we dont have anywhere that sells them near here.

Luke didnt tell me his were too small and he is 2. When I asked him after we got the new ones if his old ones fitted, he said 'these ones are much better mummy' and danced around in them! Felt very bad for making him walk last week rather than riding on the back of the buggy. He was crying his eyes out but I just thought he was being a pain!

My SIL also told me that Brantano are good for shoes as they have a better selection and they are fitted in the shop.

eandh · 05/02/2008 14:25

IIRC the standard width fitting is an F, I have always bought the girls shoes from local shoe retailer who stocks clarkes/startrite etc I let Ellie have boots/trainers from mothercare/next etc as she only wears these occasionally but her everyday shoes are always 'proper' shoes (I always ask certain people for gift vouchers for above shop at birthdays/xmas and these tend to cover at least half the cost!)

LTH - hope G is feeling better when the ab's kick in

PCF - that would put me in a foul mood too!

Dragon - just posted your dvd, its looks a bit scratched (Ellie like to put dvd in the player) but it appears to work ok. Hattie has a 2.5 and a 3 foot sie so size 3 shoes for her. I have just worked out that in the 2.5 years Ellie has been walking she has had 5 pairs of shoes so I am thanking my lucky stars she has slow growing feet

DH home this week and its annoying me as he suggests 'fun' things like painting/playdoh but guess who clears it up (we've just done painting and hattie just sucked the paintbrush so wasnt that impressed! I have been glossing the windowledges inside and painted the skirting biards upstairs. Once we have done Ellie's room in the summer we are going to start saving to do the lounge, but we want to rip oour fireplace out and get a whole new one so its going to cost ££££'s!!

Wilkie · 05/02/2008 15:33

Hmm, J was a 3 1/2 H at last fitting. Guess I should be a good momma. Where can I get Startrite?

eandh · 05/02/2008 15:48

not sure some places have startrite stores, do you have a local independent show retailer as they tend to stock more ranges. In 'golden boot' (our one) they normally have 5 or 6 pairs for me to choose from

eandh · 05/02/2008 15:50

any of these near you?

eandh · 05/02/2008 15:52

current boys range

girls range

theUrbanDryad · 05/02/2008 16:17

Z's shoes are from Next - he is a 4E, and the ones at Clarkes cost nearly £30, and we couldn't afford them. I thought the Next ones would be ok though, they're like little ankle boots (so cute) so I thought they would be good support for him. he takes them off at every opportunity though, so I wonder if they hurt him?

I had my first day at work today - they wanted me to cover someone who was off sick, so I worked the morning. it was sooooo dull, i didn't do a single dispense! I did a couple of repairs, sold some accessories and made a couple of cups of coffee and that was it. very different to what i'm used to. Has everyone had their Lo's eyes tested? they get it free, you know!

hope all the poorly babies are better soon. don't feel too bad LTH, i've done the same with Z, he's been screaming and screaming and then been sick, and then fine. feel like shit at the time, but there's not much you can do about it. Z knows the sign for poorly/hurt, and sometimes does it to his face when his teeth hurt but i get it confused with his sign for water, so the poor boy is still misunderstood.

right, i'd better go and wake up my sleepy baby, otherwise i'll have no chance of getting him to sleep tonight!

eandh · 05/02/2008 16:33

UD I think they'll be fine for Z a he is a e width so they'll be wide enough for him.
Sounds as if your morning went well (if quietly!) how was Z at nursery?

ladytophamhatt · 05/02/2008 18:22

Blleeuughh, i feel like shite. headachey, feel sick, belly ache...

bloody kids need to go to bed.

Reggiee · 05/02/2008 18:28

Hmmm...I haven't got Pip any shoes yet. But she ain't walking so figure I can spend the £30 show money on me
Tooth no 11 (top molar) just broken through. She has conjunctivitis and hasn't felt great today. Good job I'm now away for 2 days so DH will have to deal with her, poor love.

theUrbanDryad · 05/02/2008 18:35

EAH - he was ok, it was the first time he cried when i left him though i also had a really massive nose bleed on the way to nursery, so had to nick some of their tissue!

ladytophamhatt · 05/02/2008 18:45

hallelujah!
Goerge has goen to slepp without any screaming.

The big ones all all still up though, the they wake him I will kill them.
