Oh no wilkie dont have one sorry I hate them dont want to offend anybody buy yuck yuck yuck.

And before anyone gets the wrong idea I dont want more kids it was a genuine mistake .

Good luck Mr wilkie you need to get it so I can come and visit mrs wilkie and
the trafford centre .

Wilkie · 06/02/2008 12:50

PCF - 4lb, that is brilliant mate. Can I just ask if you are doing points or core? Me and my BF have just done core for 3 months - I think it is the better of the two. She has lost 32lbs and I have lost a stone. It is also a life change diet whereas I think the points is a quick fix

(obv just my opinion though)

Wilkie · 06/02/2008 12:51

By the way, just had MMR jabs done, J was fine - I was a little tearful although a new study came out yesertday that totally disproves the autism link theory in Wakefield's study and they are trying to get him struck off.

Will have to have a good read up.

laughalot · 06/02/2008 12:52

When I did core wilkie I lost alot of weight x

laughalot · 06/02/2008 13:11

Oh no have I upset you wilks

ladytophamhatt · 06/02/2008 13:29

Wilkie, I ahev a tattoo on my wrist and my back (and ankle, and foot and hip). Persoanlly I think wrist is the better option.

EVERYONE has one on their back now, I've had mine for 6 yrs now and it was unusual then. PLUS it bloody hurts on your back, my wrist one was easy peasy by comparison.

I've got the ds1,2,and 3 name on my back, inside a kind of thorny circle thing, it is nice but I now think its an odd thing to do. I mean I'm not likely to ever forget their names am I? Even if something awful happened I'd never forget them. I don't regret the tattoo, not one bit but I do think its odd now.
A star is a good idea.

I'm going to get another one done for G. I wanted his handprint done somehwere but I can't get a good enough print because he alsway smudges it....and obviously as he get older his hands get bigger and I don't want a mahooosive one.

Better go, need to get some food into G now he's woken up.
Lizz I'll call you later re tomorrow md buses etc.

Lizzzombie · 06/02/2008 15:05

Ok, y'know when you go out to places and in the baby changing rooms there are the tables with straps on? Well, do you think you can buy something similar?

I am going mad trying to change DJ at the moment. He twists and turns and wants to stand up. I have the smae problems on the changing table or on the floor. (he is ok when we are out) Just finished trying to change a pooie nappy just now and literally was wrestling him to lie down. Ended up with shit everywhere, and baby sceaming at me. I have tried giving him toys etc to look at when its being done, but I don't know what else to do. Am worried I may break his arm or something in trying to get him to lie down for the 30 seconds it takes me to do this.
Really doing my head in now.
Any advice?
Anyone?!

eandh · 06/02/2008 15:59

we've just ordered one of those table things for preschool (apparently we should have one) and its eaten £180 of our fundraising money up (did consider popping in local loos unscrewing theirs and taking it )

Wilkie - I umm and aargd over tatoo for ages but decided when I am old and rinkly I wouldnt like it. Dh has west ham badge on his arm and says he is having the girls names put around it ellie on top hattie underneath but hasnt done it yet.

Lizz - damn you discovered my gold frilly blanket obsession- not really but there is a town near us that is very very chavvy (chatham) and you can spot them a mile off (why does everything have gold or pink or blue friggin lace trim)

DH glad dvd got there - i forgot the stickers sorry

I sold loads of hatties clothes on the april postnatel thread normally I know it isnt the done thing to spam other postnatel threads but eddas said some people were looking for bits so worked out well for all. that is where feedbck thread came from although there are 2 different threads for me on there now!!)

Had a disaster this morning dh decided he wanted a new bugger fish tank so me,him and hattie wnet and got one whilst e at preschool, got home he decided to move furniture around and smashed a pane of glass in the door that seperates lounge/dining room so now to make it safe the whole door has had to come off. Then I have now idea how he managed to blow the fuse for the electrics downstairs (he doesnt know how to change it so had to pop to local electrics distrubtor picked up the right amp fuse and replace it) Fish tank does look fab though (old one had got a bit dated and light broken etc)

Insurance man came round and said other person hasnt made a claim and after their investigations and reading police report if he did they would contest it so hopefully that is all finsished now

laughalot · 06/02/2008 16:14

Lizz try and give his a pack of baby wipes to play with lauren likes taking them out and keeps her distracted.

MissCreant · 06/02/2008 16:16

F is a nightmare too, he keeps sticking his heel in the poo. I try to be super quick and sometimes I give him something he's not normally allowed like the phone, remote control, chainsaw etc.

ladytophamhatt · 06/02/2008 16:17

;izz, try changing him while sitting properly on the floor, not kneeling with him between your legs, and his arms under you calves IYSWIM.

It does stop them struggling abit....failing that, have another 2 or 3 children because you becaome an expert

laughalot · 06/02/2008 16:17

Lol chainsaw

Lizzzombie · 06/02/2008 16:38

baby wipes and telephone and remote control have all been tried as a distraction...and failed.
Think I will invest in an £180 one which eah has ordered for her nursery. Please can you send me the details! (does it come with a lace trim?) - btw - where on earth do people buy all that lace trimmed baby stuff? There must be an independant baby shop somewhere which sells it all by the truckload. I went to uni in Newcastle and saw some right laced up babies up there!

Wilkie · 06/02/2008 16:49

Lizz - same prob here, singing to him seems to help (cos I have the voice of an angel natch ). Thank you for text this morning too x

LTH - didn't see you as a tattoo kind of lady. I want the wrist one but when I am 60 it will look stupid.... but bottom of back is very common now - oh god I dunno! It's my stupid sis set me off on this cos she wants one!

EAH - send us a pic of new fish tank. I would like a larger one when we move

We have two viewings on friday and sat. Hope something comes of it.

DH rang, he is nervous - only hour and a bit to go! He has to sit in front of a committee!! Eek.

ladytophamhatt · 06/02/2008 17:14

wilkie, I had my wrist one done on the wrist i wear my watch so that if I want to cover it I can. if your so unsure though maybe its not a good idea....

UD said that about me too Re the tattoos.

ladytophamhatt · 06/02/2008 17:15

you're not your..

good luck to Mrwilkie BTW.

bunnyhunny · 06/02/2008 17:40

been off work for 2 days, with vague tiredness, hot and cold etc. I felt fine today, and felt like a huge skiver until I totally flaked at 1pm... mind you, while I was feeling well this morning, I rewrote my cv

wilkie - I always hum and ha about tattoos. my bil has some really bad ones - a woman with her tits out and a whip, a wolf with a bent nose and a tony tiger (well, it isnt really tony, but it does look like him). He also had the names of his gf's 3 kids tattooed on him, then she dumped him!! so, if I was to get one it would have to be a design I absolutely loved, which I havent found yet.. only do it if you are totally sure...
good luck on your viewings, we havent had any for weeks now

Lizz - I do what miss c does for nappy changes. we did buy a rabbitt safety change mat, which his a change mat with straps for the gp to use though. he screamed, but at least he was still.

we have been doing another food challenge to see how s reacts. He has had egg in pancakes yesterday, and malted milk biscuits for 3 days without any reaction . we have to try margarine next apparently..

bunnyhunny · 06/02/2008 17:41

rabbitt change mat

eandh · 06/02/2008 17:55

damn did huge post and lost it.

have got my eyes and legs crossed for mr wilkie!

We saw fab curved tank at pets at home narrow at bottom then went wide at top but all curved and modern but it was £200 so out of our budget.

I change hatties nappy standing up then she cant rum cause her trousers are around her ankles!!

2happy · 06/02/2008 19:59

Late, but good luck MrW.
