DH - I wasn't being funny about jogging bottoms, they are just not my stylee. don't spend lots of money on J's clothes - they are all bargainous sale items OR Asda/Matalan/Primark

I do dress him 'old' which is daft really cos I really hate to see little girls in 'old' clothes and if I am lucky enough to have a girl it will be frilly dresses and knickers a-go-go!!

Off to bed, DH has got 'his precious' out!

Oh and J is constantly prancing around with my plastic headband on my head, waving my blusher brush about and dragging my handbag around behind him

We have come to a compromise and have agreed if he gets the job he'll commute and we will live in Manchester.

We have had worms

Thought F had escaped it but he was really restles tonight and sure enough there one waving around on his anus. Poor thing.

what do you mean you dress him old? Pullovers? Pipe amd slippers?

Report

mrs c - why the change of name? Uuuugh worms I am dreading those

Wilkie - pmsl I had a thought of velvet kneew length shorts, white socks and patent shoes when you said 'old' I now realise you mean as in 'older child' style (well I think that is what mean) Good compromise about the job, I was thinking yesterday whether you had the conversation with dh or not!

As you can see from silly time of my post early start here, Hattie woke at 5.35 having done a huge dump and it stank. She woke Ellie at 5.50 and then dh gave up trying to sleep and came downstairs at 6am. Noe at 6.42 the house looks like a bombs hit it, the girls are dressed and wanting breakfast and I want to sleep

DH taking girls to park this afternoon as someone from insurance company is coming round (to do with accident in December) I was a bit concerned but apparently its what they do if a pedestrian is involved (they need to get copies of my MOT and driving license and copy of letter from police saying wasnt my fault etc) the man hasnt but a claim in and the police said that he said he doesnt remeber what happened as he had been for a few 'xmas' drinks

Morning all, good to have you back Lizzz.

Ewww MrsC, yuk yuk yuk at the worms. we've never had it here and I'd be horrified if we did. Ds1 especially is a nightmare for hand washing...his hands could be caked in shite and he still wouldn't notice.
Mind you, teeth brushing and face washing seem to be just a difficult for him. God only knows what he'll be like as a teenager......

Don't think I am PG. I seem to be getting the ovulation egg white stuff in dribs and drabs rather than just after my period that usually happens. Bloody typical really....I always get it just ater my period and now that I'm watching for it it happening at a diff time. Who knows...maybe I am and maybe its some other PG sympton instead. I want to be PG now.

Better go, need to get dressed.

eah - I wear creoles...in fact I am wearing silver ones now! (my gold Elizabeth Duke ones have been relegated to the bottom of my jewellery box, but its a standing joke that I come from a chav background!) & btw - your knowledge and description of a chavvy baby is a little bit spot on....hmm...I am thinking you may have frilly gold blankets somewhere in your house!

wilkie - fingers crossed for your DH this evening! I love Manchester, its a fab city. Would move there tomorrow if DP got a new job there. There is lots to do and see, and a particularly extremely cheap shoe shop just out of the city centre which a mate took me to once. Anyone heard of it? (can't remember the name of it)

reggieegiiee - I havent been anywhere! Was in London, being a ladiee on Friday, and then working Saturday, and DP was on computer doing work on Sunday, and I was out all day Monday and had a mate round yesterday. Ta-dah! Am here now though!

MrsC - ugh, you poor thing. Worms. My sister was forever getting them when we were small. Worms and nits. She was a critter catcher constantly. I on the other hand was the clean one!

LTH - can I please come and visit you soon? I promise to bring biscuits and cakes....and the mothercare catalogue for you to look at the pictures of babies in!

Dragon - Dj has lots of jogging bottoms, he has little sore knees from crawling in his jeans! And has taken to crawling in an odd way, like on his tip toes, so his knees aren't on the floor! I have a ridiculous amount of clothes for him though, as sister has twins who are 18 months older than him, and a good mate of mine works for a childrenswear suppliers. She gave me a huge bag of brand new minimode (Boots) clothes on Friday. I literally had 40 t-shirts! - have passed them on to people as I can't fit them into his drawers!

PCF - How were the pancakes? x

MrsC - ewwwww re the worms. Not nice. I hope they got sorted soon - is it antibiotics he will have or cream??

Lizz - chuck some Minimode tee-shirts this way!!!!!! Love the quality of boots stuff

LAL - PMSL re the maternity tops. Wishful thinking???

Ugh, MMR at 11am. Dreading it. I hope he is OK from it.

Debating a tattoo - what is the general consensus. Either a star on the inside of my wrist or a star right on my lower back just above my crack. Star is to symbolise J.

Lizzzombie · 06/02/2008 11:02

wilkie - sorry hun, just given them all away to lady down the road with Lo the same age.

I'd go for tatoo above arse crack. The wrist may show at inopptertune moments in the future?
I want a star on my toe cleavage (?!) for same reason.

Have you got any already?

  • I bet EAH has a tasmanian devil with her ex boyfriends' name on it!!!

Wilkie- Actually I was worried I might have offended you last night after I logged off! I am a chinos girl. Luke still hasnt ever worn a pair of jeans and he is two and a half. Actually, I worry so much about people thinking he is older than he is as physically he looks 3-4 rather than 2, that I prob dress him young so that I dont get looks when he does things that normal 2yos do but a 3 year old shouldnt.

Manchester is great too. Will be sending good luck vibes to Mr Wilkie tonight.

Lizz- Ruth has knee calouses! I have to smother them in cream or they get sore. After so many months of inactivity, she cant keep still at all now! And I agree, Mini mode clothes are lovely and they have really good sales and offers on.

Carrot- Hope they go quick. Dreading luke bringing things like that home. Like nits

Laughalot- will keep my fingers crossed for you. I think.

Morning!

Hello Lizz!! We missed you!

Got Max up this morning and he was absolutely covered in snot and his eyes had loads of gunk in them. Thought the conjunctivitis had gone but obv not so we're off to the doctors at 3.50pm.

Stubbed my toe yesterday and then I did it again in the same place today and actually screamed! It really hurts.

My boys are always in jeans.. I don't know why really I have just always put them in them.

Wilkie - I think tattoo above the bum on the lower back would be nice! I would love to have one if I was a few stone lighter!

Talking of that I've been back on ww this week and lost 4lbs so quite pleased about that! Still lots to go though! Just trying to lose as much as poss before wedding.

Will have a proper catch up this afternoon but Alex will be back from nursery soon so better get their lunch sorted!

Neither, Wilkie, there is a worm-killing tablet for over-twos but babies have to have pripsen which is a revolting raspberry drink that somehow you have to get into them. I was using a syringe but it kept blocking up and going everywhere. Bloody nightmare. Also babies have to be repeated in two weeks as it works differently to the tablet. Can't believe you've escaped it, LTH, we've had them once before. DD got them at nursery. They do reckon 40% of children have had them at some point though and don't notice itching in the night.

I know some childless adults who've had them. You can even breath them in on a windy day apparently. Someone on here last night had a scientific explanation for how they get from your lungs to your gut. Rank.

Wilkie - I think you might regret a star on the wrist whereas you can always hide one on your behind. You are unlikely to be wearing tops that ride up over eans when you are an old lady but reaching for that scone over afternoon tea might be a little irksome if you hate it when you're 60. I have one on my upper arm of a turtle thing, I had it done when I was 16 and I hate it now. I got some quite good make-up for the wedding and although you could see it close up it wasn't evident in any photos thank god.
