laughalot · 22/02/2008 22:10

Well done Mr wilkie

laughalot · 22/02/2008 22:21

Aidan would have been brook and lauren would have been harrison

ratbunny · 22/02/2008 22:58

we actually had no name for s if he was a girl. girls names are very difficult imo!

well done mr wilkie!!

susiecutiemincepies · 23/02/2008 00:20

Isobel was going to be Toby Charles if she was a boy. I was convinced she was.... I think if we have a boy next, he will still be called Toby. I often have dreams about us with a little boy called Toby, so I hope we can, and do!

eandh · 23/02/2008 07:07

I said that wilkie could be a sahm she just and said no!!!! God I am so excited for you wil you have to rent for a bit till all house stuff goes through? Assume you are handing your notice in on Monday

Susie - fingers crossed for dh

Well dh and ellie still asleep, everyone slept all night in this house although hattie up at 5.50 but we've been looking at her touchy feely books and think she is enjoying her 1:1 time with me

Vin- I bought 3 of those bars cooked home made burgers in huge baps and did salad with them {lazy emoticion]

Lth - are you taking advantage of the lovely Lizz's discount code? which pushchair did you decide on (eandh repeats 'i must not but any more buggies' to herself)

When everyone gets up and breakfast done Ellie and I are heading out to get her princess jasmne outfit - anyone want to take a wild guess what she'll be wearing for the rest of the weekend?

Wilkie · 23/02/2008 08:23

Sorry - my posts are all very 'ME ME ME' but I am so excited...

I couldn't be a SAHM, I have so much respect for people that can do it but I really can't. I would have to work in the Pro Shop initially for 3 days a week and then find something similar to what I do now for 3 days i.e. PA/secretary/PM. So at least I have 4 months grace to find a decent part time job.

I have to hand my notice in on Monday and I will be really sad about it as I really get on with my boss and enjoy the work I am doing at the moment.

I went round to tell my BF last night and we both ended up sobbing. I will miss her so much, in fact even thinking about it has made my eyes fill up, so hard to leave her

ladytophamhatt · 23/02/2008 09:15

Tis FAB news wilkie, moving away from you BF will be hard (have done it a few times now) but it makes its sooooo lovely when you do see ech other.
One of my best pals moved to Devon while we were still in surrey, her 3rd baby was 2 weeks old when they moved and we finally got together again last summer and her tiny baby was a bright, funny, misceivious(sp), beautful 2.5 yr old, I felt very sad at missing so much of her tiny little life but we clicked instantly, like she'd seen me every week of her life
I missed them all alot (her sons are similar ages to my big Dsses) but it slike we've never been aaprt when we chat on teh phone etc.

EandH, yes, Lovely Lizzz is getting it for me. It's this one.
I;ve ordered this too

ladytophamhatt · 23/02/2008 09:17

But now i think I should have got this one

ladytophamhatt · 23/02/2008 09:18

Wilkie, could you not stay working in the shop?

Would be the easier option wouldn't it??

I always go for the easyoption.....

Wilkie · 23/02/2008 12:47

I can earn a lot more being a PA, the shop would only earn me about £500 per month. We need more than that. Plus I want another baby next year and it would be better to get the maternity benefits from a different company.

Not sure I could permanently work with DH.....there may be rows!! We are both very organised and structured in how we do things work-wise and I think we may clash!

ladytophamhatt · 23/02/2008 13:55

"We need more than that."

even with Dh's whooping great big payrise??

2happy · 23/02/2008 16:00

Congrats Mr W

We didn't have any girls names picked out for ds2, which is pretty wierd given that we were labouring under the misapprehension that he was a girl for the majority of the pregnancy

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 23/02/2008 16:49

Ds1 would have been Olivia, ds2, 3,and 4 would ahve been Eliza.

had I been PG this time , it would have been Eliza again.

Shithead DH has made sure I'll never got the opp to possibly use it now hasn't he?

I'm going to shut up shop too, like EandH but never even open it for daily use either IYSWIM....that'll teach him to fuck with my emotions

it'll be the only thing he does fuck.....

Ohh I'm soo funny.

eandh · 23/02/2008 16:55

like eandh mentioned!!! (although I do shut up shop when he is pissing me off!!)

Like the buggy I wish I got a mclaren first time round they are lovely to push Iprefer the buggysnuggle you ordered

Been and bough princess jasmine so ellie prancing about as her at the moment (I nee to get and some netting/voile as she wants a face veil!!) and been to see my Mum and Dad this afternoon and ellie and my dad have been making her easter bonnet for school easter parade (my Dad was trying to take over kept reminding him that it was her bonnet)

Having a chinese on our own now tonight as nephew got ear infection plus Hattie conjuntivitis doesnt ake a very good combination - its 5pm and I am starving already

ladytophamhatt · 23/02/2008 17:00

Ooops sorry, yes like eandH mentioned

katwith3kittens · 23/02/2008 17:18

I'm back having had a lovely holiday, and I missed you all !

Hell of a drive... (but the kids were great considering) but compounded by the dutchies putting us in a line with vans and freight trucks so we had to wait 3 and a half hours on the quay even though we were 40 minutes early. Aaaagggh. Not a lot of fun with a one year old who needed entertaining in the car !

So from what I can gather .... no more babies and a great job move

DS managed to fall on his nose on a cow skin rug while we were away and got a friction burn about the size of a 2p piece. He had a scab on it this morning, but its gone now and I dont know where.... I bet he's eaten it !

And then, he's gone and smeared sudo cream all over the carpet whilst I was trying to get into the suitcase that some idiot one locked without knowing the combination for !

I tried random numbers with no sucess and was prepared to leave it (it had all been washed and dried in the apartment) but then DS1 got all fretfull as his homework was in it, so.... I started at 001 and methodically worked my way up and got to 956! 956... my thumbs are killing me, and that number means nothing to me either !

Then the TV doesnt work cos whilst we've been away a tree has bown down on the lane cutting off the electricity for a day and the TV has a PIN to input to prevent it being stolen (and its not 956 either)

DH is at the football of course whilst all this is going on. Typical.

Hmmm.... is it too early to open a bottle of wine .... I think not

Reggiee · 23/02/2008 18:10

Hi Kat. It sounds lilke you need a holiday . Defo open that wine.

Wilkie - so, when d'you wanna meet up . Bet DH is over the moon too.

LTH v nice pushchair.

Vino have a good evening tonight. Am waiting for my invite

Had a monring to myself and went into town. Really need some new clothes but there is nothing out there. Bought a couple of new work trousers and a bargain wool coat for P next year (30 quid down to 8). So am still walking around looking like a scruff. Sigh.

Just ordered Nigella Express cookery book. Anyone got that?

vinorouge · 23/02/2008 18:36

rgee will mail you with dates for meeting up. Nigella express is one cook book I don;t have cos I have 4 of hers and not really cooked much out of any TBH.

bought ellen her first shoes this afternoon and she quite likes them. WAs upset she couldn;t have the ones I liked best cos her tubby feet.

Bought wallpaper for our bedroom in laura ashley as 20% off, paint we want is out of stock at the mo, ordered light from there also for our room. Spent a lot of money in ikea so ahve blinds for whole house, toy storage for ellen, bathroom toilet roll hodlers, towel rail etc and more. My feet are tired!

We are def going to get a phil and teds pushchair, looked at them today. Oh, the hopsital rang this week to say that neither DH or I tested positive for any of the 30 cystic fybrosis things, apparently there are 100 but it means the risk is low. Waiting for results on virus testing but feeling happier.

So Wilkie - tell me where DHs job is and where you are planning to live so I can write it down and remember it the right way round.

E&H enjoy your chinese.

Kat - nice to see you back.

Wilkie · 23/02/2008 18:45

Vino - DH is at Crosland Heath Golf Club, Huddersfield and we are gonna live either in Shaw/Royton (OL2). We will be there for Easter Weekend!!

LTH - Doesn't everyone need more money to live? We have a MAHOOSIVE mortgage!

DH just arrived back with pizza - back in a bit...

vinorouge · 23/02/2008 18:49

Wilkie - know the feeling about huge mortgage. Enjoy pizza. Me and Rgee will have to come and visit! The babes can toddle along together!

Reggiee · 23/02/2008 19:05

Mmmmmmmmm.......celebratory pizza.....

Wilkie · 23/02/2008 19:26

Vino - how has E reacted to the move?? My main concern is J and how he will cope.

eandh · 23/02/2008 19:27

kat - sounds exhausting

Vin - good news about cf thing fingers crossed for other tests, I get annoyed of they dont have the shoes I like in the girls sizes or they dont fit properly (I like them to have black patent shoes in winter as easy to clean and cover up scuffs) in fact at the moment they have the same shoes as clarkes and our local independent shoe place only had one black patent style in stock

rgee- hows P's walking going? I need some new casual tops for school run and everything is either smocky type (big norks=makes me look pg) or very low cut (dont like flashing big norks!)

Just looked online at bank account and I we have spent loads this month so march is going to be very quiet ie no spending month, have bought easter eggs already, goddaughters birthday present got in boots 75% off sale (barbie karakoe machine from £40 to £10 her Mum and Dad are going to love me but they got ellie a electric guitar and microphone for xmas!!!) and the only thing I have to pay for is brothers gf birthday present.

Got our new bins delivered from council today so we have 3 for different types of recycling and rubbish. I need another kitchen bin and then going to have to do a idiots guide where to put what for dh (council are fining if you dont do it properly )

Wilkie - how was pizza, chinese was mmmmmnn yumm quite a bit left over as well

UD has started a thread in health as Z eeos being sick and fontellue (sp) has dipped so ((hugs)) to ud and Z

susiecutiemincepies · 23/02/2008 22:27

watcha

oh dear, poor little chap. Hope Z feels better soon.
They get so shocked when they are sick at this age. Isobel always looks horrified, on the few occasions she has ben sick. She seems to then spend alot of time spitting and 'pulling' imgainary things out of her mouth

She's not well today. Has a horrible cough and cold. Keeps patting her throat with her hands, so guess it must be sore too.

Wilkie: we moved just before christmas, and Izzy was fine really. She kept crawling from room to room, and pointing at things all the time saying 'ook' ( look ) , in huge surprise that it was in this flat... she obviously recognized everything. It was really funny, the look of surprise on her face when she saw my money box, by the bed in our room. Same with most things actually. She kept patting the sofa and putting her head on it saying Ahhh... almost in a ' ahh my trusty friend in this weird house' bless her. J will be fine, i'm sure of it

susiecutiemincepies · 23/02/2008 23:41

LTH: I have a lovely buggy snuggle foe Izzy. Its the big pink flowers one, and is all furry. She loves it, and it really is so warm. I loved the second one you linked too. I could not decide which to get, and had the catalogue for ages. IN the end, we saw them in J. Lewis at bluewater and just bought it there. Would have been cheaper online I think.

we can't decide if to get a lighter weight buggy too. I have a bugaboo, which is so easy for me to push, and so so light too. I love the way she faces me in it as well. Its just a bit a of a pfaff to get in and out of the boot, especially with a car boot full of luggage. Mr C always hs a massive tantrum when we pack the car up. I couldnt streamline our stuff anymore. ALWAYS a source of huge argument!
