bunnyhunny · 13/02/2008 16:15

eandh · 13/02/2008 17:33

Bloody hell lth I was just coming on to rant that my brother has been at his work on a course and got back to his car and every car in the car park has been broken into, they've taken his tomtom (was in glove compartment) all cds, his ipod and ffs nephews car seat what the hell do they want with that (am assuming they'll flog it) there were 20 cars and all of them have been stripped of anything in them

laughalot · 13/02/2008 18:48

Twats

laughalot · 13/02/2008 19:37

Hi vino any news ?

My little lauren has a ear infection bless her, the doc gave her some antibiotics so hopefully she will better soon.

Wilkie · 13/02/2008 19:57

Hey all, texted Vino earlier and apparently the consultant thinks all is OK. She has to have bloods still and be scanned in 8 weeks but so far so good!

(sorry Vino, hope you dont mind me updating but I know everyone was thinking about you today)

xx

laughalot · 13/02/2008 19:59

Thanks for updating on vino x

ladytophamhatt · 13/02/2008 20:59

Oh, that is good news. I remeber the relief of hearing its all ok when we had troubles with the PG with ds2.
Like vino I was chilled and calm about it. I never admitted it at the time but I knew it was going to be ok. I thought maybe its just mothers intuition but it was such a big thing (1/16 chance of downs, 1/4 of major heart defect) that I thought theres no way I could actually know....but I did.
he just made sure he caused real troubles at his birth instead -unplanned homebirth nearly delievered by 2yo ds1.

FAB news vino, I hope the rest of the PG is plain sailing from here on in

vinorouge · 13/02/2008 21:06

Yes the scan was fine, dr said had she been scanning me for first time she wouldn't have picked anything out as unusual. Apparently my downs risk is very low and we already decided both pgs that we would keep a downs baby so declined their offer of an amnio. DH and I both getting tested for cf (might as well seeing as they offered it!) and me for viruses that might be in the baby, also there is still some haemorrage next to baby so it could have swallowed blood. Anyway she was very positive about it so we are feeling much more reassured than last week. It was the same dr who did the ecv when I was pg with Ellen so it was nice.

LAL - DH is so happy cos Everton have just won!

Off to Peterborough for the day tomorrow to see friend with new baby and meet little bro for tea after work.

LTH - what a bummer about your car.

Susie - glad you are feeling sorted with sleep. I am a mean mother and just leave Ellen to cry however long it takes her to get to sleep.

bunnyhunny · 13/02/2008 21:16

glad to hear your news vino
lal - I love your post - twats - very to the point

bloody viewing woman didnt turn up, she did phone to cancel though, but our house was bloody tidy, and all for nothing!!!

I need to change my name, I am sick of this one. I chose it as it's in pulp fiction (well, hunnybunny), but it's really meh now, and is much too cutesy for me! But I'd like to keep the bunny. any ideas????

ladytophamhatt · 13/02/2008 21:28

the only thing that came to mind is "bunnyslippers"...but then I've never been very good at choosing nicknames!

my 1st Mn name was my name and initials...higly original and alot of thought went into that I can tell you!

eandh · 14/02/2008 07:59

I was looking at another thread that linked to threads 4 years ago and I think you were on there (pg I believe!) Thought I'd recognise the style but didn realise you had anothe rname then!

Yey fab news vino - was thinking of you yesterday

Bunny - at viewing cancelleation, ummm funnybunny, mummybunny (actually may be a bit kitcsh) slummybunny, runnybunny oh I dont know I am shite at names hence mine is the girls intials!

Lal - hows L today?

Update on my brothers car - they caught the bloke he had a transit van that he thought was blocking cctv but the train station master managed to see what he'd done and get the reg, they found him in Horsham train station car park so assuming he was going to try there as well, so brother will get stuff back but not for 6-8 weeks, didnt help that he had to drive for 1.5hours on motorway with no side window bet he was cold also the bloke had quite a few car seats (he'd unlocked the car when smashed window and then take stuff from boot/back seats. Either he has lots of kids or flogs them

ratbunny · 14/02/2008 08:28

love bunnyslippers!! but, I am trying out ratbunny - be warned, if another bunny appears on this sthread, it'll be me in a different guise! I just want something with a bit more 'personality' iyswim. tbh it was the netmums thread that made be realise the whole hun thing

eah - glad they caught him!

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 08:50

eandh, my original mn name was EmmaTMG so if thats who you found then it is me.....ds3 would have been 5 months old 4 yrs ago though so I deffo wasn't PG.

G has loads of spots this morning and was really miserable duringf the night. I didn't actually getto bed becasue he woke at 11pm screaming, I treid to settle him but he wasn't having any of it so I slept on the sofa and he slept in his little chair.

Well i say I spelt, the dog woke me uop about 5 times, G wanted his dummy about 5 times (he likes them cold so I have to give him a new one each time), plus he kept coughing so it was a rather broken night. Fell ok-ish atm but will no doubt be a miserable bitch later.

taking the car to the garage this morning to get an estimate on tha damage. Also will be shopping for new car seats again because they say to always change them if they've been involved in an accident. Just need to check with the sol that they'll pay because 4 carseats isn't going to be chaep!!

TTFN.

Lizzzombie · 14/02/2008 10:47

Poor you LTH, sounds pants.
Remember....20% discount at Mothercare is yours if you want to get your car seats with me!

Bunny - Ahem, hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but doesn't bunny mean tampon in American slang? Maybe you could call yourself SUPERBUNNY or REGULARBUNNY ?!

Still no spots yet here, but another mate of mine who has friends in Newhaven (near LTH) has been mixing with twins who have chickenpox now, and DJ was at nursery yesterday with her girls, and she is pretty sure the youngest is incubating it. Am off to buy periton etc later this morning! (am a bit scared)

Oh, and btw, tried pull up nappies for a change this week. BIG mistake. HUGE. Ok for wee, no problem. But for big poo...ugh, gross. Don't even want to think about it! You have been warned!

Vino - Glad things sound positive. Great news. x

Lizzzombie · 14/02/2008 10:50

Bunny - Saw this and thought of you !!

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 14:30

Its ok Lizzzzz, they've been bought through the other blokes insurance. we'll get it all back so were not out of pocket. Thansk anyway.

Bloody dh is annoying me thogh, saying that the otehr seats will be ok or Can't we give them to someone/use them anyway. I said the insurance have paid for new ones because it woud cost them a whole lot more if we were in another accident and one of the children got propelled through the window because the seat might have been damaged in this shunt from this lorry.
I'm sure our old seats are ok but what if they're not?? its a big if but I'm not going to risk it.
I'm still not sure he understands....stupid bloody man!

you def did the right thing getting new seats lth. its just not worth any risk. I remember from riding that if you drop your hat from just 6ft they reckon to go get a new one - you can't necessarily see how its been weakened.

lizz - pmsl. how about SuperAbsorbentNighttimeBunny - I could be SANB for short

s has been a pain today. he is def teething and is really whingy. we got him some new shoes today (size 4!!), and he screamed the whole time his feet were being measured etc. fun

are any of yours ready to drop a nap? s sleeps from 10 - 11.30/12 everyday, but has recently been resisting his afternoon nap. I might try shifting the morning one forward and seeing if he can manage on just the one...

laughalot · 14/02/2008 19:30

I dont want another

laughalot · 14/02/2008 19:31

Sorry vino/dh and lth and anyone else who is trying but 2 is plenty enough for m.

eandh · 14/02/2008 19:53

Oh no LAL - do you need to test (parcel went in post so should be with you tomorrow!)

Hattie has been dropping her morning nap and having around 1-1.5hours late morning (around 11.30) and bed at 6.15-6.30, but god she is a grumpy madam at 5pm (in fact today she has had 25mins all day and was unbearable)

DH nan (the 93year old) has had a bad fall (she lives with his parents) his Mum was at work but thankfully postman saw her through windo and neighbour had a key and wnet and got his mum. Shes in hospital as has a broken shoulder, MIL panicing about having girls tomorrow so my Mum is having them in the morning and I have phoned my boss and said I need the afternoon as annual leave and she told me just to have the afternoon off and not worry about booking as holiday I'll take a few shorter lunches to make some of the time up.

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 19:59

LaL....ummm hav you had unprotected sex in the last month?

if you have then......ds4 was a product of that sort of risk!

I have the most horrific PMT. I'm almost willing my period to arrive now.....and as every member of my family is doing my head in I'm beginning to dread the idea of not coming on!!
