Divastrop · 15/04/2008 20:38

i bath every morning,Elsie sits in her cot and plays with toys.

kittywise · 15/04/2008 21:02

I wash when I can't remember the last time I washed. The same goes for the children!!!!

Piffle · 15/04/2008 22:47

I was joking diva! I do shower regularly! Lol
Finn bloody climbing up on chairs now - thank god for dd my early warning system... Finn just pushes her aside in his pursuit of height conquering...

kittywise · 16/04/2008 08:23

Aghhh I've bloody had enough, 2 weeks now of 6 children with diarrhoea, colds, vomit, whining.
Af due today, I've now got the bloody nasty cold.
I'm feeling very, very sorry for myself and I want to cry

LunarSea · 16/04/2008 09:29

Long time no speak - life very manic at the moment. But Toby's fine, and happily toddling everywhere trying to keep up with his big brother. He had his first go at skiing on his Birthday!

Agree with Piff about the baths - they're safe in the room but out of the bath (though having said that Toby like to join me and tries to climb in!)

On the speach front Toby says
mama
dada
olver (ds is Oliver)
gramma (grandma)
no
oh yeah
bread
yog (yoghurt)
gape (grapes)
dat (that)
dare (there)
down dare (down there)
baa (sheep!)
bye bye

kiwibella · 16/04/2008 12:04

hi everyone ; hugs to Kitty... and pleased you are feeling ok, Diva.

I am really impressed by all the language of our little toddlers. Kate seems to get by with "dere" and pointing or shouting. Perhaps some of the sounds are more distinguishable - I'll have to listen closer.

I had a lovely evening last night, she went down at 6pm!! Hubs is away for work so it was bliss. Life wasn't so grand on this side of the day when Kate started waking at 3am and was pretty much up hourly after that.

Evenhope - how is dd's itching?

Jay, I'm so delighted that Cooper is such a joy. Congrats Shanks, and well done on such a quick birth.

Polar, they are looking for experiences where Dad's didn't bond with baby on The Wright Stuff!! I'm sorry that things are strained with your dh at mo. You are very tolerant. Is he getting better dealing with his depression?

Foxy... did you and your dh enjoy spending time together on your hols?

piffle-yes ,i realised you were joking,i have just realised my post sounded like i took you seriously.

ktty-((((hugs))))are you getting any help?i didnt realise how huge your house was till i read that thread on larger familiesi think i would need a full set of servants to cope with a large house and 6 kids.D+V is such a nightmare

bella-how are things with dh now?

dd1 locked me out this morning.she was farting about getting ready so i told her to lock the door after her and catch up with us(or the ds's would have been late).she never caught up,so i went into her school to get the keys from her and she had locked the front door and put the keys through the letterbox.i went to my friends for a brew and then had to come home and hammer on the door to wake dh to let me in.

i am very disappointed in myself as ive been keeping quiet about him and this chatting over the mic doing these raid thingys(my worst fear was realised when i heard an english woman on there)but i said something last night.i really just wanted to not say anything and go and find a site where i could chat to males so we would be equal.

LunarSea · 16/04/2008 12:48

kiwi - video clip of Toby's first ski

kiwibella · 16/04/2008 13:22

bless, Lunar!!! That is precious

Piffle: Ikea sale

Diva at being locked out... I didn't realise that your dh slept while you got the children off to school.

Thanks for asking about me and hubs. Unbelievably, things are lovely atm (helps that he is away ). Absolutely nothing has changed financially and that is really pi$$ing me off. I've wiped my hands of it - and still toying with going home (although hubs has pointed out I won't get a benefit for Kate and I spoke to MissE about going home and she said she would stay with her dad). I'm just enjoying the moment and saying my prayers very loudly.

Wow Toby looks so grown up doesn't he???

Kiwi - yes we had a nice time but are now back to the relentless grind and I feel very very depressed most of the time TBH. I think I have been depressed for 3-4 months and behaving like a bitch and consequently he doesn't want to stick around - who would? I so desperately need a break from this grind

Kitty you have all my sympathy [cyber hugs]

fitfox · 16/04/2008 20:01

Diva what did you say and how did DH react?

I hope it wasn't raining when you got locked out. Its been really nice down here - almost decent weather.

Divastrop · 16/04/2008 20:12

foxy-i just made a comment about this woman saying goodnight to him,and that just because he is only interested in playing the game,i also know that some women play online games as a way of making friends/meeting men(which is true)and that i didnt see any problem with me being vigilant.he got all defensive and said that if any women in the guild he's in had ulterior motives they would have been kicked out straight away blah blah blah.later he said that i had nothing to worry about as he only has eyes for me etc.

its only cos im due on that i actually give a shit.i wouldnt care less if my hormones werent being stupid.

Divastrop · 16/04/2008 20:14

bella-i gave up waking dh in the mornings a long time ago,its not worth it.i can do mornings on auto-pilot anyway.

fitfox · 16/04/2008 20:21

Diva IKWYM about the PMT - I turn into a screaming/tearful harpie once a month and lo and behold, the next day AF arrives.

At least he gave you correct response - that he loves you and only you. At least that woman didn't say "good night golden balls", or "you sexy beast"!!

kittywise · 16/04/2008 22:13

starflower oil helps me!

Divastrop · 17/04/2008 11:51

starflower oil made me worse.this month has been ALOT better,i only felt crap(and not nearly as crap as usual)for the last 2 days.before i started taking the magnesium and calcium supplements PMT was lasting 2-3 weeks.

i am half asleep as dd2 got up at 5.40am,woke Elsie, who started crying and woke ds2.so i was forced to get up

fitfox · 17/04/2008 18:17

Its very quiet on here today!!

I feel all cold and incredibly lazy. Was supposed to be swimming but anm on here instead!!

TheBlonde · 17/04/2008 18:25

kittywise · 17/04/2008 19:03

1st Baby, 2nd Baby, 3rd Baby ...

Maternity Clothes .....
1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your midwife
confirms your pregnancy.
2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible.
3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes.

The Layette .....
1st baby: You pre-wash your newborn's clothes, color-coordinate them, and
fold them neatly in the baby's little bureau.
2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only
the ones with the darkest stains.
3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can't they?

Worries .....
1st baby: At the first sign of distress-a whimper, a frown -- you pick up
the baby.
2nd baby: You pick the baby up when her wails threaten to wake your
firstborn.
3rd baby: You teach your 3-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing.

Dummy ....
1st baby: If the dummy falls on the floor, you put it away in its little
plastic box until you can go home and wash and boil it.
2nd baby: When the dummy falls on the floor, you squirt it off with some
juice from the baby's bottle.
3rd baby: You wipe it off on your shirt and pop it back in.

Nappies .....
1st baby: You change your baby's nappy every hour, whether they need it or
not.
2nd baby: You change their nappy every 2 to 3 hours, if needed.
3rd: You try to change their nappy before others start to complain about the
smell or you see it sagging to their knees.

Activities .....
1st baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics, Baby Swing, and Baby
Story Hour.
2nd baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics.
3rd baby: You take your infant to the supermarket and the dry cleaner.

Going Out .....
1st baby: The first time you leave your baby with a sitter, you call home 5
times.
2nd baby: Just before you walk out the door, you remember to leave a number
where you can be reached.
3rd baby: You leave instructions for the sitter to call only if she sees
blood.

At Home .....
1st baby: You spend a good bit of every day just gazing at the baby.
2nd: You spend a bit of everyday watching to be sure your older child isn't
squeezing, poking, or hitting the baby.
3rd baby: You spend a little bit of every day hiding from the children.

Swallowing Coins
1st child: when first child swallows a coin, you rush the child to the
hospital and demand x-rays.
2nd child: when 2nd child swallows a coin, you carefully watch for coin to
pass.
3rd child: when 3rd child swallows a coin you deduct it from his allowance!!
