Hope this is ok.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
milkyJammy · 03/02/2008 20:27

Ready for work? Well, I've got my bag ready, got some money for the bus and to buy lunch (decided to take it easy on the first day and skip making sandwiches), got some clothes ready. But I still need to get my expressing kit ready - not the most attractive bit of going back i have to admit

LittleMissNorty · 03/02/2008 20:29

Are you looking forward to it?

milkyJammy · 03/02/2008 20:31

Yes, I am. I wasn't sure until I got asked to go to a conference next week. I've decided not to go, but it made me realise I am looking forward to working again.

LittleMissNorty · 03/02/2008 20:33

That's good! Won't take you long to get back into the swing of it. I rung the nursery at lunch-time to be told everything was fine and that was it really.

I'm meant to be going to a conference in Coventry in June - that's 2 nights away for me so I'm going to make DH have 2 days off work so they can both come with me

milkyJammy · 03/02/2008 20:35

Well, gotta go do some stuff and then spend some time with DH. Doubt I'll be able to get online tomorrow other than in my lunchbreak though (shame)

LittleMissNorty · 03/02/2008 20:38

Good Luck - and have a good day

I can MN from work - but not FB!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 03/02/2008 20:44

jammy good luck for tomorrow

annobal · 03/02/2008 20:58

Good luck for tomorrow Jammy.
Just back quickly before going to bed.

It's all going to plan, thanks Sputnik, but I have to admit to head spinning tonight as I am thinking of all the things I have to do.

foxythesnowman · 03/02/2008 21:04

More good wishes coming from my way, Jammy.

Annobal, don't you have a 'special' notebook for the task in hand. I love a specific notebook for a project.

Oh, I'm coming across as a bit wierd this weekend, aren't I?

Sputnik · 03/02/2008 21:26

That's a good idea Foxy. I think you must be super organised to have 4 kids, you should tell us all your organisational secrets (eg, how do you actually get them all to school on time etc?) I have enough problems with 2

Good luck Jammy from me too

annobal · 03/02/2008 21:40

LOL Foxy. I have a specific notebook (bought especially for the purpose - white with a lovely pink paisley on it) AND a spreadsheet that takes me more time to update than the task itself .

I think I might be coming across a bit weirder

foxythesnowman · 03/02/2008 21:54

mmm, a spreadsheet

annobal · 03/02/2008 21:56

Nothing quite like a spreadsheet (except perhaps that first page in a new notebook)

foxythesnowman · 03/02/2008 22:02

mmm, luverly...

Sputnik · 03/02/2008 22:02

Ha, with DD I had a spreadsheet for her sleeping habits, beat that for wierdness!

annobal · 03/02/2008 22:07

LOL

Now you're just giving me ideas...

foxythesnowman · 03/02/2008 22:33

LOL Sputnik! You win

foxythesnowman · 04/02/2008 09:35

Morning, any lurkers?

Am still full of a cold, waiting for the plumber and washing machine engineer today, so I'll be hanging out here I guess. (As I did all weekend )

And no Jammy today! Hope your day is good, Jammy!

Fury MUST be around, its a work day after all!

FairyFay · 04/02/2008 09:57

Good morning everyone

LOL at the super-organised mummies!

Jammy, I hope it's all going really well

FairyFay · 04/02/2008 09:59

DS has realised that he can cruise along furniture - BUT still hasn't grasped that the reason he falls over is because he lets go! I need eight pairs of hands to keep catching him

LittleMissNorty · 04/02/2008 10:14

Morning Foxy and Fairy

This thread is very quiet these days....takes no time at all to catch up.

I'm at home today (still working though ) and DD is playing happily on the floor babbling away. She isn't moving yet, let alone crawling or cruising. She gets to something by rolling over

Is it just you that's got a cold Foxy? No DCs yet?

Hope your day is going well Jammy!

Right back to work! later x

HellHathNoFury · 04/02/2008 10:35

Hi all.

Right - I know that half of you ladies use a P&T - are they any good?
Do they offroad well?
And are they likely to fit into the boot of a fiesta?

foxythesnowman · 04/02/2008 10:50

Phil and Teds? Bit new-fangled for me, but I know lots of people who use them and are very happy with them.

But everyone I know with one has a double buggy. And didn't you just buy a new buggy? So its not for you, IS IT?

Morning Norty and Fairy!

Yep, LO woke up with streaming eyes and has just got up, so she's full of it. Other DCs seem OK so far.

Only movement here is rolling around, but then I don't put her on her front or encourage her to stand

HellHathNoFury · 04/02/2008 10:58

Foxy I thought you had a P&T?!
What do you have then?

Don't ... buggies

DH and I have decided to overhaul our lives...downsize. So we are selling the 4x4 and replacing with...a Fiesta. Need a pram that will fit into a fiesta. I heard P&T's fold up really small.

foxythesnowman · 04/02/2008 11:05

silvercross buggy-type thingy. sort of like a maclaren, but cheaper and better.

I think you should go to John Lewis or somewhere and take a look for yourself, and have a go at folding it and carrying it. It is a double isn't it? I wouldn't buy a double again without testing it out.

We used to have a fiesta and our double wouldn't fit, but its a big side-by-side contraption and I've always hated it. I just couldn't get round to sending it back.

I like the idea of downsizing.
