ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

what does the delightful Justin want POTC?

NorthernLurker · 23/01/2008 22:11

Oh POTC - just seen your post - what has the wanker silly chap come up with this time?

Eddas · 23/01/2008 22:20

just looked at facebook for the first time in weeks and a message from my friend made me laugh

Does anyone play scrabulous? Elkie, i think I'm right that you do? My friend has been doing interviews and things for places live radio 5 live all about it he's so funny. Haven't listened to it yet He's had slots on QVC too(not about scrabulous though!)

NorthernLurker · 23/01/2008 22:35

night all

PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/01/2008 22:42

the same old arguments again and again

GMM am I coming to Scotland on 15th?
I don't mind at all if it's not practical, but the twunt wants to know if I'm here or not.

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/01/2008 22:43

he makes me so
accused me of trying to drive a wedge between him and the gf. ffs. if I was trying to do that I'd have done it by now, not spent 15 mins stood on the opposite side of a cafe to them, looking like a lemon so they could have time alone with Joe

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/01/2008 22:46

Is still not getting that asking him to care for Joe on his own without her for 3 fucking nights is me compromising and doing something I don't even want to do for his benefit. Then he can take my baby to his house and play happy families with my baby while I sit home and cry, but let me have those 3 fucking weeks to settle Joe first.

sorry

(can you tell he's really made me and ?!)

OP posts:
Eddas · 23/01/2008 22:47

weirdo, tell him to stick his head back up his arse and stop talking out of it

Eddas · 23/01/2008 22:48

oh potc you are being so kind to him. he just doesn't understand how hard it is to have someone you don't know care for your baby. He will never understand he's far too stupid from what i've heard of him

PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/01/2008 23:10

a fair assumption

I did point out to him that having lived with him and his lies it is unreasonable to expect me to trust him implicitely (sp?) and believe he will not just show off to her, as I know he can't help himself!

OP posts:
Mashanapedyjo · 23/01/2008 23:15

Oh Ellie its so hard isnt it Dan used to always think i was trying to play control games with maia. They dont seem to understand that because you really love your baby you only want whats best for them, even when its not whats best for you, I would never dream of using my child as a tool to manipulate someone. If they could understand the love we feel for them then they would never question that all we want is whats best but it seems they just dont get it which makes it even harder to let them have our babies.

Mashanapedyjo · 23/01/2008 23:18

Sorry for the 'we' etc in last sentence - dont want to presume to talk for you

Dan does the showing off thing too, in fact I think its the only reason he came back the first time with new girlfriend and I'm beginning to worry thats all it was this time

Mashanapedyjo · 23/01/2008 23:20

The thick-headedness is so frustrating isnt it?! Seems like you keep having the same arguments conversations with him but he just doesnt get it

elkiedee · 23/01/2008 23:36

Haven't had a chance to get back online until 10 pm or so.

POTC, Justin sounds like a complete ***

Dippy, I've posted a couple of pics on my profile including one of my blanket, it was moostly red with a navy blue border, and had been slept on over the years by 3 cats as well as me and Danny (2 of ours and the landlord's cat in the house I lived in before I moved to London).

Dippy again, I missed the bit about the bed breaking, were you getting seduced with Kinder eggs again?

SPB, lovely outfit and pic, but would love to see the hat!

Eddas, yes, I play Scrabulous - quite a few mumsnetters do and Dippy, Leaky and I have had a couple of 3 way games - Dippy thrashed us both first time and I got lucky early on in the second game. My luck's very variable though and any skill I'm gaining is only from wasting too much time playing.

Some very sad and very lovely news from another group of online friends - we talk about crime fiction but I've met quite a few people and their loved ones at conventions. Two women have lost their dhs quite suddenly and I can't believe that someone else I met a few times has gone. More happily, a friend I used to hang out with at Left Coast Crime every year gave birth to a son on Sunday morning. I wonder if Jen and I and babies will ever make it to a convention again at the same time? She lives near Vancouver, Canada so it could be a while.

elkiedee · 23/01/2008 23:39

Oh, and the reason I wasn't around this evening? It took me from 6.30 until almost 10 pm to get D to go to sleep, and just as I finally set off down the stairs dp came home from work (late shift in residential home).

oooggs · 23/01/2008 23:52

morning!!!!!!!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/01/2008 23:56
