ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

HI mj, well done on the weightloss BTW

Pesha, the actual carpet I saw was £75ish but we will need underlay which is about the same if not more and other bits like the gripper rods(is that what they're called) so have est £250-300 to be safe IYSWIM. There may be underlay already but it will be as scanky as the carpet and i'd rather get rid of ALL the previous owners shoddy crap We had been looking in carpet right aswell. I think I will go out on friday morning with my measurements in hand and get some written quotes from places including everything so at least we know what we need to save. another job to add to my ever increasing list [rolls eyes]

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/01/2008 14:02

think we might need to go further up than clarks village for mj, will be too far from wales!

Eddas, well done to you too!

StealthPolarBear · 29/01/2008 14:23

hi everyone

NorthernLurker · 29/01/2008 14:40

Afternoon all - good day here, much better night for us - B fed at 1.30 then slept till 6. We went to baby group which was fun - B loves playing with other people's car seats! Bit worrying when she tries to play with the other babies though - especially as most of them are pfbs - and a bit younger - and therefore rather squashable! I was bitten this morning though. First time ever after b/feeding 3 children. I'm not holding it against her though - she was more than half asleep at the time - as was I! Put the light on to inspect the damage and could just see two little indentations. I must be a truly demented parent because what I actually thought was - oh look what sweet little teeth she has!

Caz - I've got a good 'look' of my own actually - when dd1 was a challenging toddler (seems like a lifetime ago as she is so good now) - I was able to reduce her to tears with one medusa -like glare - this really impressed my mummy friends
Eddas - sorry things are so grim - what a disappointment for you What is the floor like under the carpet - do you have boards - because if so you could hire a sander and posh them up for a bit till you can get a carpet - would be better than a carpet you hate?
Dippy - your dh is a sweater - eeek - but would this be where P gets her....ermmmm....fragrance from then? Sorry about af - but like someone else said - always next month. I can recommend late November babies - dh is one!
Runny - can I offer a {{{hug}}}
POTC - that definately shouldn't bother you - Justin has only himself to blame if his son prefers others to him!
Mammyjo - good luck with nursery. F will be fine - but how will you do?
Hello everyone else!

justpinions · 29/01/2008 15:14

Have just made the most disastrous chocolate cake ever to be made.

Oh well the thought was there right ??!

StealthPolarBear · 29/01/2008 15:21

send me a slice and i'll give you marks out of 10

geordiemacminx · 29/01/2008 15:25

hey ladies, just back from softplay with Liath and Bumble - had a fab time, was lovely to see the three of them crawling around together!!!

justpinions · 29/01/2008 15:37

Oooggs have sent you a Slow Cooker Recipe Ebook thing with hundreds of recipes and also the MN food planner, tho maybe a duplicate of the one you have.

Pesha · 29/01/2008 15:53

Could be tricky, too far south and its too far for wales lot and too far North and its too far for Oooggs

We were talking about Horseworld before I think which is just my side of Bristol, would that be any good for people?

Or could we have 2 meet ups if we cant find somewhere everyone can get to? 1 saturday and one sunday perhaps? Or what time are you down on friday Ellie?

And on a different note - do plums go with blueberries? I have lots of both in the fridge that really need eating up now so thinking of making a crumble - will it be yum or yak?!?

mammyjo · 29/01/2008 16:05

Pesha, where is horseworld? I mean which town. On the aa site trying to do a route planner, but it cant find horseworld! Dont plan too much around me yet as I dont know if I can make it.

Pesha · 29/01/2008 16:08

horseworld Its Whitchurch apparently but literally just south of Bristol.

Eddas · 29/01/2008 16:20

pinions would you mind sending me the slow cooker recipes too please [cheesy ]

justpinions · 29/01/2008 17:10

Sent it Eddas - lol cheesy !! Also WW and Slimming World one - no offence though ! I have done them as normal casseroles/stews as opposed to Slow Cooker, I guess you could do them either way? (Good to freeze too). Can you tell I love cooking !

I have done loads of recipes from them and found them to be pretty good.

If anyone else would like one, please email me and will send on no probs!

Btw Pesha sent you my brothers book thing, take it you got it.

justpinions · 29/01/2008 17:16

Pesha - sorry - sent to your old one - doh.
I get it now Dynamai, wondered what on earth you were on about it !!

liath · 29/01/2008 17:21

Evening.

Lovely to see GMM & Bumble today. Hope Luce's dd is feeling better. Dd was a pain little challanging without another toddler to play with! I think J and C are going to be keeping their mummies on their toes !

Oooggs, really hope the twins sleeping through wasn't a one off!

Eddas, what a shame about DH's bonus when you'd been counting on it.

Bad mummy moment today - put both kids in the bath and realised is was ds's first bath since the start of the month. Whoops .

runnyhabbit · 29/01/2008 17:21

mj according to the routeplanner on horseworld, it'll take 1hr 25mins from my house (60miles)

need some April magic please.
my friends waters have ruptured and she's only 29wks. She's in hospital atm having steroid injections. Spoke to her mum earlier and she's doing ok, and baby is ok but are obv very concerned

geordiemacminx · 29/01/2008 17:27

Runny - hope your frind is ok. Re routeplanner - do what I do - drive at 90mph, it'll only take 45mins

AngeG · 29/01/2008 17:30

Runny - Thinking of your friend, hope all is ok.

GMM - A girl after my own heart

Haven't caught up sorry

oooggs · 29/01/2008 17:41

thank you pinions - that looks fab and low fat too - ideal!!!!!!!

forget I need shoes, just arrange something and if its not too far we will come, I think starting a thread is a good idea without clogging this one up

runnyhabbit · 29/01/2008 17:42

Just had a text from other friend, saying that pg friend might come home tomorrow if their both ok.
I might being a bit thick, but I thought that once waters had gone, you had to give birth within a certain time to minimise infection?

(oh yes, and you are both girls after my own heart. I can't bear dawdlers (sp?) on the road)

oooggs · 29/01/2008 17:43

thinking of your friend and her baby runny >>>>

cazboldy · 29/01/2008 17:48

that horseworld place looks nice girlies!

Pesha if you live near bristol, do you live anywhere near Badminton?

cazboldy · 29/01/2008 17:49

that sounds positive though runny!

and at 29 weeks everything should be ok, if she does give birth, shouldn't it?

Lucewits · 29/01/2008 17:51

Very to miss the scottish meet up today. B has been furious and a little toad for the rest of the day because he wanted to see E at his 'crayground'

Runny, I am studying the AAT intermediate by distance learning if you want any info.

Liath - PSML at bathtime revelation

I have some slow cooker recipes too if anyone wants them.

This house is so noisy right now that I cant remember anything else

I started the day with one sick DD and now the other three are sniffling and being whingy aswell. Its going to be a long week
