PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/01/2008 20:13

ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

oooggs · 29/01/2008 08:14

Morning - now only read this if you are sitting down!!!

dd slept 7pm - 7.15am
ds slept 7pm - 8.30pm (not well had medicine) then back to bed til 7am

but..................................

I was up at 2am with ds1 and fell asleep in his bed with him until 6am so I am knackered and have back ache....................

but dts slept through

needed documenting as it probably won't happen again for another 10 mths (they are 10 mths today)

StealthPolarBear · 29/01/2008 08:16

oh no, I started reading that thinking you were going to have had a good night's sleep

oooggs · 29/01/2008 08:21

at least it wasn't all bad katy how did T get on?

Maveta · 29/01/2008 08:38

Morning Oooggs and SPB! 2 out of 3 not bad Oooggs, hope you get a repeat (minus the sleeping in ds1´s bed and backache of course!)

Good night here, he woke at 12am for a quick feed and then back to sleep til 6am and I just went back for another hour just now so feeling very chipper indeed. Might actually make Mum and Babies for the first time in weeks!

Beautiful sunny day again here, should get some washing on the line..

StealthPolarBear · 29/01/2008 08:48

Not good He was up at 2 then at 4 and I had to bring him into our bed which means I sleep badly with a dead arm (am fine when DH isn't there, sleep really well with him). ALso think I worry about DH rolling on him, which he wouldn't but that's not under my control.

Maveta · 29/01/2008 08:59

bummer spb I sleep fine with either of them individually (!) but not at well with both of them. Though in my case it´s because dh totally hogs the bed and leaves me scared to move incase I elbow N in the eye!

runnyhabbit · 29/01/2008 09:20

v quick as am in work atm

yes to meet up!

just let me know where when etc

mmmwwwaaahhh to you all
x

(ps after this morning, I only have 2 more days in work....)

Eddas · 29/01/2008 09:22

please excuse my first thing of the day vent but i'm so

WE were going to do our front room up in the next few weeks. dh was getting a long service award which meant we had some money. But he doesn't get it til next year now. For the last few years he's been thinking he'd been at work a year longer than he had So now I can't get a new carpet, which we really need as our one is horrid To top it off dh has only stayed in his job becuase of the money and he could've got another one ages ago. He's always moaning about work and how shit it is. But was determined to stick it out to get the money

It's not his fault but i'm so disappointed.

I hate the fact they we never have anything.

We need a new bed/shed/front room carpet. Could really do with a second car as dh bikes far too far everyday I'm just sick of being skint

Sorry rant over

mammyjo · 29/01/2008 09:33

Morning all. Am feeling very this morning, mainly because dh kept me awake half the night with his fu**ing snoring It is driving me insane, as I would guess that at least half the nights every week I lose a few hours sleep because of him. Ended up on the sofa last night as I couldnt stand the noise any more. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry, just needed to vent that. >>>>

Hope you are ok CD. Always next month eh?! Seriously though, I hope you are not too disappointed.

Are we any further into sorting out a meet up? Dh will speak to the guys he is going out with on Saturday to see if he can get a lift off one of them. Fingers crossed that he can. I would tell him to get a taxi, but he is going out a good few miles from where we live so not prepared to fork out for that! Bad enough that he will have to pay to get home!!

mammyjo · 29/01/2008 09:35

Hi Eddas How disappointing for you. I know what you mean about being skint all the time. We are ok, but only just iykwim. Not enough for luxuries that I have a liking for! Looks like things will get worse too if the work overpayment thing turns out to be right.

Pesha · 29/01/2008 10:06

Eddas - about the money. My old lounge carpet drove me to (hormonal!) tears at one point Could not get the dog hair or the food stains or the smell of wee from potty training ds1 out of it!

MJ - at dh snoring. Its one of the good things about my dp working nights! Elbow him in the ribs!! Have you tried any of those nose strip things that sports people wear?

Maveta - glad you had a better night.

Oooggs - glad the dts slept through for you and hope it continues and that ds1 can follow suit!

SPB T didnt sleep well - hows the tidying going?

Dippy - hope you're not too disappointed.

Have I missed anyone...?

Ok here, woke up at 6 with full intention of doing video again but discovered myself to be ever so slightly stiff! Not the muscles I would have expected but inner thighs and front of shoulder to boob muscles, so from the push ups and lunges presumably. Ah well will try again tomorrow.

Piked Dylan up from pushchair earlier and said 'give mummy kisses' then noticed at the last minute as he lunged towards me that he had a huge trail of snot all down his face! Kinda took the edge off the lovely kiss

Pesha · 29/01/2008 10:09

Wouldn't it be cool when you text someone and they dont reply if you could nudge them like on msn! Make their phone do a little ring and vibrate for a second!!

Not aimed at anyone in particular Ellie

cazboldy · 29/01/2008 10:23

Ooogs - thats definite progress!

Eddas I know what you mean.....we have done nothing here since we moved in and I really really want to paint the kitchen and dining room and have some curtains that actually fit etc etc etc
would the carpet benefit from a clean - I do mine every couple of months.

NL lol at you and the "crowd control" you need to master "the look" my eldest three know when we are out how to behave, and woe betide them if they overstep the mark.... they get "the look" and they all know what it means! and that way I never have to tell them off when we are out!

CD better luck next time x

can't think of anything else at the moment, so hello to anyone I haven't mentioned!

cazboldy · 29/01/2008 10:29

oh and Maveta about the egg thing!

I have no idea what they can can't eat at what age..... BAD MUMMY ALERT.....I have never bothered with any of them, basically they just get whatever we have and thats it. the only things I am aware of are nuts, and cows milk, which is not a problem anyway if you bf is it? All the older ones seem to have thrived on it, and on the whole they will eat anything.

Except my very weird dd who likes chocolate, but not chocolate flavoured stuff. like she will eat cadbury's mini rolls, but not cheap ones, or chocolate spread, or biscuits etc etc

Pesha lol at your lovely kiss Molly "does kisses" now and tries to stick her tongue in your mouth! nice...........
