ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 21:08

shit memory Pesha
keep meaning to reply, then I forget!

erm... guess so, will J be okay with J though, he doesn't go to bed til 9 now?

OP posts:
Pesha · 28/01/2008 21:18

Well my J will be ok with your J if you think your J will be ok with my J?!

Eddas · 28/01/2008 21:19

you lot talk so much

how's you task going potc? such a lovely job isn't it

will be trying out things suggested re ds' drinking, thank you it's just weird for me as dd drinks so much. she didn't give up her milk by herself either but I think ds may be about to drop his(guess it'll save cash on the formula) when i've asked doctor/hv about food intake etc before they just say babies don't starve themselves and won't eat/drink unless they need too(so wish that was the case for me) so I won't worry. If he's hungry, he'll eat. If he's thirsty, he'll drink. Simple.

geordiemacminx · 28/01/2008 21:20

I just saw a thread where someone called POTC a HUN...PMSL

liath · 28/01/2008 21:23

EGGS, Maveta!! ! Are you MAD??? Surely you realise that if you give eggs to a baby it causes "Mad Old Bint" syndrome where any lunatic crone within a 10 mile radius suddenly feels an overwhelming compulsion to pass judgement on your parenting.

On the PMS front, I was definitely worse after having dd. I still haven't had a period yet & am on micronor but I think I'm putting on weight so might think about a copper coil. Agnus castus is good for PMS for any of you sufferers.

Looking forward to seeing the Scottish contingent tomorrow!

Sexonlegs · 28/01/2008 21:24

Flamin heck. How many posts!!!!

Hope everyone is ok.

POTC, you sound back on form!

Octo, hope Ernie is better soon.

Maveta, not surprised you were fuming. I hate people sticking their bloody noses in and passing comment.

Dippy, sorry about the BFN - just have to keep on trying !

Brain shut down now.

I am also suffering horrendously with - TMI WARNING... heavy periods, awful pain and drreadful pmt since K. Everyone told me it all got better after kids - what a load of shite! Thinking of going on the pill - haven't been on it for about 10 years.

Ellie.... can we have a new thread darling. xx!!

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:25

GMM, would it mean that you would have to work full time? Would you want to work that many hours? If the job is great then could you ask to negotiate less hours at least to start with? Just a though

Would love to come to the meet up this weekend, but have already agreed to ferry dh around as it is rugby international day (Wales v England ). Hmmmm, drunken washout methinks! Let me know when you decide what you are doing though and I will see if I can sort something out. Would mean I had to bring both dc's with me.

Maveta, sorry but you made me laugh. Mental picture of you leaping over the table for a cat fight Quite clearly the woman was talking bollocks!

StealthPolarBear · 28/01/2008 21:26

lol at mad old bint syndrome, don't think it's just eggs that cause that reaction though - there's a whole list of food to avoid. In fact it's not just food...

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 21:27

we'd be expecting you to bring both children MJ, nutter!

and yes, I was called a hun , swiftly put her right on that one though

OP posts:
mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:28

Lol at mad old bint syndrome!

oooggs · 28/01/2008 21:29

I will have all dcs with me as dh in Scotland, oh I'm back for 10 mins as it is past my bedtime

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:29

Oh I know that really! Just dreaming of how much easier things are with only one to cart around!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 21:30

what times are you ferrying dh around?

OP posts:
mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:32

Apparently kick off is not until 4pm, so wouldnt drop him off until mid afternoon. Will see if one of his mates could pick him up instead, that way I would have my day free.

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:33

Yes oooggs, half nine is late for you! Half an hour and it will be my bedtime too! Oh, its all party in my house

oooggs · 28/01/2008 21:33

only 'one' mammyjo - those were the days

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 21:35

I haven't got any PMT yet as still waiting for AF to return. Tbh - your lurid tales are making me nervous - oh yes and bit snappish and short-tempered

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:35

I know, and I have only got two now!! Cant imagine how you manage with three of them out together!

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 21:36

lol NL!

oooggs · 28/01/2008 21:36

it is easier with either ds1 or dts

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 21:39

my three are all very good (B has no option she's strapped down) but even so it's quite a lot of crowd control and 'you speak, then you speak, then everybody shuts up!' Good fun though - go for 3 Mammyjo - you know you want to

oooggs · 28/01/2008 21:40

I'm off to bed - night x

StealthPolarBear · 28/01/2008 21:42

GMM I say apply first and worry about the practicalities later - assuming you could turn them down?
In fact that's what I'm doing at the moment, applying, will worry about practicalities if I get an interview!

StealthPolarBear · 28/01/2008 21:42

i love filling in applicaiton forms

Sexonlegs · 28/01/2008 21:47

As much as you enjoy folding laundry???
