Thats what you get for having a bth in the morning Baths are for evenings!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2008 09:05

Nah, baths are for long afternoons.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2008 09:07

Oh, and happy birthday for yesterday Peyia, if TicTac is still lurking.

Phoenix · 24/01/2008 09:44

Happy Birthday Peyia for yesterday

Happy Birthday Alexander

I very rarely have a bath on an evening cos if i wash my hair on an evening by the next morning it's greasy so i just always get in on a morning.

Phoenix · 24/01/2008 09:59

I've just opened one of dh's letters that has just come (cos i'm nosey) Its a survey from the bmrb (british market research bureau) there was a letter in it, the survey, a return envelope, a pen and an envelope that said 'survey gift enclosed' I thought it was an empty envelope and nearly binned it but thought i'd open it just in case and there was a fiver in it . I remember dh saying last week he'd had a bloke knocking on the door doing a survey so it must be something to do with that.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2008 10:20

Oops yes, Happy Birthday Alexander .

OriginalFlame · 24/01/2008 12:44

Happy Birthday

back from GP. No infection, not positive pg test (although she didn't seem to care that I am day 22, maybe they are really sensitive? ). Delightful appendicitis test (due to me yelping when she pressed in one spot on tummy) Not yelling out in pain, so she thinks not that, but took bloods to check too, she thinks I may be slightly constipated (sorry for tmi but you would whinge if there wasn't a full update ), even after Tuesday - possibly due to the co-dydramol for pain last week.

I have movicol to sort that, paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain, and have been told to rest, call if it gets worse, she will call tomorrow with blood results.

OriginalFlame · 24/01/2008 12:45

Oooh EPPM!! Just had post!!! You are a fabulous lady It looks really good and couldn't have come at a better time

EachPeachPearMum · 24/01/2008 13:47

hope it makes up for poorly tummy!

tmi alert:
FWIW my thoughts were ectopic pg, sorry. Also, I had horrific tummy pains after equally horrific diarrhoea, when on holiday in egypt. If it wasn't norovirus, but a foodpoisoning type bug, that may be why. A stool sample will clear up any worries on that front (they test for bacteria).

Also, if it gets more acute, may be appendix, or more unusually lymph node problem- mesenteric adenitis...

Yeah- we get all the best medical problems in my family

EachPeachPearMum · 24/01/2008 13:49

BTW phoenix- sorry for your rain...despite last 3 months of dark, gloom, rain, fog, floods etc its actually beautiful fresh sunshine here today!

Teuch · 24/01/2008 14:02

Happy Birthday to Peyia and Alexander

Sorry to hear about all the aches and pains, but pleased to hear about random monetary gains

Glorious sunshine mixed with 'stone-rain' showers...and the wind gets up a bit when the showers come so no venturing outdoors for long!! I have the fire lit in case the power (and heating) goes tonight...

So..who is pregnant?

mustrunmore · 24/01/2008 14:08

What post Flame/EPPM??? [nosey again]

Very very sunny here now

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2008 14:27

I want to know what post too!

Teuch - she has posted on the thread in question now. Not sure if you know her?

mustrunmore · 24/01/2008 14:28

Who is pregnant? Am I missing something obviuos, or is it another irrelevancy to me?

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2008 14:29

This thread mrm.

EachPeachPearMum · 24/01/2008 17:19

rofl at all the confusion!

Flame missed out on the book swap thingies, so I sent her a book I'd finished. Well, 1 down 3999 or so to go....

Frizbe · 24/01/2008 19:16

No I'm being thick too, who is it? can't log onto msn either, bah! duno why, comp just won't let me is it down?

Flame, yay for going to dr's and them doing proper tests n stuff, good to know they're on the case

Think all the kids are just about asleep here, they're very tired, nice day out here www.peakdistrictonline.co.uk/content.php?categoryId=1801 with an assortment of friends. Dd2 however still isn't quite on form, she slept for 2 hrs when we got there (survived the car to buggy transfer fast asleep ) then only moaned when I did get her up

DontDreamItBeIt · 24/01/2008 19:36

If you can be bothered o read the whole thread there are enough clues for even me to work it out!

mrm - I won't be able to do anything on 18Feb....my aunt and uncle have just invited us to their ruby wedding celebration, and we will have to stay overnight.

After all the stressing over making dd1 a bed, dp has planned and costed i, and we've decided tha once we facor in the stress and time of him making it (with no spae to do it, it wasn't worth the tiny amount of money we would save, so I've ordered this bed from Argos, and he's gone out to buy wood to make the cupboard/shelves.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 24/01/2008 20:01

Jas, looks good to me I wanted one like that when I was about 8, but my dad never let me have one good job I've grown out of the idea now eh
I don't know who p is though?

Debating if the heating has just gone here or if the house is just warm enough for the thermostat to have stopped the rad's working? might be time to stick my head in the garage and look at the boiler again

DontDreamItBeIt · 24/01/2008 20:12

Turn the thermosa up and see if it comes back on?

I've sent you a message on FB as I appear not to have your email btw

OP posts:
Phoenix · 24/01/2008 20:22

Someone tell me who p is please

Right i'm back to my original plan of getting ds a trike for his birthday after talking to a friend at work. So i'm going to get one tomorrow as its my day off work.

What car seat does everyone have? I'm thinking of getting a britax evolva 123 for ds cos the britax first class i've got in my clio is quite high off the seat and its awkward to get him in. Has anyone got one?

Frizbe · 24/01/2008 20:28

I'm using ss's ancient car seat (got shot on the other thread for doing that, but its only 8 years old and seems to be ok, will do for another year till she hits the booster seat anyway, not like we don't know its history and the plastic doesn't appear to be brittle, apparently your not supposed to use them past 7 years.....dh will not buy another one and britax still make them) Anyway......sorry for rant....

Jas, I had to go out and fiddle with boiler for 3 mins till it started up again, but at least it started I have the power! (whispers 'for now') Off to look at Facebook!

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2008 20:35

Look at the post from Thu 24-Jan-08 11:52:26.
The poster is the OP .

We wondered about getting one of those as a spare (for in-laws etc) Phoenix, but can't remember what put us off (apart from that car seats are supposed to be chucked 6 years after manufacture, so it can't possibly last for the whole age range it is designed for). Maybe it was a Which? report. Will ask dh and see if he can remember.

Flame - have we established when you're leaving here? You're coming on the Sat aren't you, but are you staying long enough to go to mrm's (or soft play near her) on the Wednesday? Have discovered it's not actually half term week for us here at all that week - we have the week before!

Phoenix · 24/01/2008 20:49

I thought that csws but thought it was too easy.

mustrunmore · 24/01/2008 20:49

you could've just told me insteda of amking me reclck on the link!

I'm on such a high; just did 5km in 29.14, 20 min break, then my one hour aerobics class
