AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:52

Thanks Dippy!

Ooohh yes get some baby photos out, Pesha, I love looking at baby photos.

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:53

Yes I learnt that with M and N Elkie. Dont wait for them to grow out of one batch and get the next lot out as clothes do vary so much in size. I have a few old things of N's which he hardly wore as by the time I put them on him/got them they only just fit. Now I keep the next size clothes on a shelf of his wardrobe and rummage through every now and then for something that looks like it might fit!

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:54

Is it time you got rid of your 'f' Pesha??

elkiedee · 09/01/2008 22:55

Ahhhh very cute Ange.

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:56

Right off to bed now i think. Have to make an effort to get up earlier tomorrow even if it means waking D up, something which normally I would never do.

Night all x x

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:57

Thanks Elkie

Night Pesha xx

I'm off to bed now too, night all xx

fpesha · 09/01/2008 23:00

AngeG · 09/01/2008 23:01

Really am going now xx

elkiedee · 09/01/2008 23:01

Night Ange and Pesha

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 23:06

NL - No email recieved.

Really am off to bed now .....

CaptainDyson · 10/01/2008 07:07

Blimey - last on and 1st on!

Feeling awful - woke up at 4am when MIL sent me text from New Zealand; not entirely convinced I got back to sleep before older girls woke up just before 6am. Yuk.

Anyway, morning everyone!

Maveta · 10/01/2008 07:59

Not really caught up yet and dh is giving me the evils so I´d better be quick and go get showered. SPB - glad you said that, I´ve been meaning to ask if anyone had made the kidney bean kievs. I put the butter in but tbh they were still a bit dry, I think a garlic-y dip or sauce is necessary really. One to work on for sure... My ´Finger Food for Babies and Toddlers´ arrived yesterday and looks like it has a couple of good ideas. I´m like you pesha and naturally make food that is a bit hard for them to pick up, like soup. And yeah yeah, I know they can dip bread but I don´t really have the patience to do blw like I thought I would. We almost totally skipped purees, he does have lumps and chunks and chews on things but he also gets spoonfed a fair bit.

Another crappy night but this morning can feel a top tooth poking through so hoping it will pass.

ok, n whinging for attention and food so better go, back on later x

StealthPolarBear · 10/01/2008 08:16

Morning
Ange, the pictures are lovely! lol at pesha with her pictures of babies past! Keep up with the technology You're making me rethink the outfit now, J looked so cute
Maveta, I have to say I haven't cooked anything out of that book - which ones did you think looked good? IIRC a lot of them seemed to be vegetable with dips - I don't think so!
A bad night here as well but no teeth He was up every hour and a half until 3 when I gave him calpol - he then slept until 6.30 ish.
I just put a small stuffed toy inside a huge box which had a clear top to see what T would do when he could see it but couldn't immediately get to it iyswim. Completely forgot about it and turned round when I heard him fighting with the box to find him half in / half out and fighting to move flaps out of the way

NorthernLurker · 10/01/2008 08:45

Spb - rofl (heartless as I am) at T and the box

Dippy - have sent it again - but it hadn't bounced back or anything so can't think where it had got to!

Better night here - and dh has taken girls to school so still in pajamas - yeah! It's going to be a bit of a shock to the system when he starts his new job!

CaptainDyson · 10/01/2008 09:41

Bless him, SPB

Recieved Eleanor - will digest & reply!

mammyjo · 10/01/2008 09:54

NL, I love mornings where I can stay in my pyjamas for a bit longer! Cant do it during the week now as back to the grind of the school run, but weekends are brill. Dont get dressed til late morning and I love it!! Dh just doesnt understand, he has to get up and dressed straight away. Enjoy the luxury while it lasts!!

SPB, I think trousers and a jumper or shirt with tank top thing is smart enough for a christening. He would look gorgeous, and be comfy too. Sorry to hear you are still having a hard time of things with him sleeping. Made me laugh with T and the box, bless him

Ange, how cute are your children!! Izzy has got beautiful big eyes hasnt she!

Ellie, thanks for linking to those threads. Really made me lol Need that at the moment!

Nothing much planned for me today, weather is awful. Raining really heavily and is windy and quite dark. Have taken ds to school and now plan to stay home. Have quite a bit of veg in the house so I think a big pot of soup is in order! Feeling a little down today, but certainly nowhere near as bad as I have been so really hoping things will carry on improving.

fpesha · 10/01/2008 09:56

SPB - lol at T and the box. A better idea might be to put T in the box with the stuffed toy and then perhaps you could forget about them both for a while?!

Maveta I am the same. I think BLW was a great way to get started introducing solids and giving them the control to go at their own pace. But day to day it doesnt really work for us. We completely skipped purees too, he's great at eating lumpy food but also gets spoon fed alot. I know he could prob do spag bol and things himself but I really dont need that amount of mess to be dealing with on top of everything else! And give them soup and bread to dunk??? The soup would be on the floor and all over him in seconds! I give him bread to feed himself while I eat my soup and his cools and then I feed him his soup!

Hes still only really having 2 meals a day and snacks at them moment. He has big breakast and big tea but lunch tends to be bf and sleep with a few rice cakes or other nibbly bits in morning and afternoon. Anybody else's LO still not on 3 meals?

Also be meaning to ask anyone else bfing still not got AF back? I didnt do with the last 2 till a couple of months after i completely stoppped so expecting same to happen again, although never fed this long before. But a mum was asking me at school yesterday and said arent I worried I might be pg? I'm not really worried but it'd be nice to know for sure iyswim. Although I'm not missing the PMT! It seems to have got worse with each baby so dreading it now.

CaptainDyson · 10/01/2008 09:57

Soooo sorry NL - Can't believe I just used your RL name! Apologies.....

CaptainDyson · 10/01/2008 09:59

Hey MJ - Mmmmmmm, soup!

Got my AF back last month ; but hoping it won't return again this month!!

fpesha · 10/01/2008 10:02

I was supposed to be going into town with bf again. Texted her to say did she want me to meet her in town or could she pick me up again. She said I'd have to meet her in town as she has no room in the car (people carrier ) but shes only gonna be in town for 30 mins. Well it takes me 20 mins to walk there and in this weather I dont think I can be bothered. Bit annoyed, it was her suggestion to meet. She always does this. I never tell dc we're meeting her untill we actually do or are on our way as 9 out of 10 times she'll cancel last minute. Oh well will have a lazy day in instead and go with dp when he gets up!

StealthPolarBear · 10/01/2008 10:05

pesha, still no AF here either - am fairly certain I'm not pg
Also, tend to do 2 meals a day here too, or I would be forever preparing / eating / cleaning (do enough of it as it is). Usually breakfast and tea, but if he doesn't have breakfast for whatever reason he has lunch and tea.
Still doing BLW (apart from the porridge ) but normally he eats different stuff from whatever we're having, mainly because we eat a lot of pasta and he doesn't seem to like it (or can't hold it long enough to decide!) which I know isn't really the idea. I do try to give him some of whatever we're having as well though. That said, he's barely eaten anything for the past few days, tea or porridge

StealthPolarBear · 10/01/2008 10:06

Is this the same bf pesha?

leakyR · 10/01/2008 10:17

Morning

Have lurked a bit this week but still not really caught up with thread.

MJ - glad you're feeling a bit better today. Soup sounds good.

SPB - lol at T in a box! G went to a christening last month in an M&S waistcoat outfit. He looked lovely (if I do say so myself) and it was comfy.

G is having his second day at nursery so I should try and be productive but I feel a bit down and want to loll about. Will go out and do some shopping which might make me feel better.

Gran's funeral yesterday. Service was nice and the eulogy really captured her well. Think I smiled as much as I cried which is a good thing I think.

BLW has had mixed results here. George loves to feed himself, but I shovel porridge into him in the morning and he often has something that needs a spoon at teatime too.

Have a nice day all of you
