StealthPolarBear · 09/01/2008 22:19

Well actually he suggested his dungarees with the monkey on the bum

Eddas · 09/01/2008 22:21

my friend had her ds christened when he was about this age and he just wore trousers and a shirt.

next time have him/her christened earlier then there's no problem as girl or boy they get shoved in the dress

my poor brother wore the same gown as me and my sister

Eddas · 09/01/2008 22:21

go with that then

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:21

When I had Jake dedicated I bought him a cream outfit, was quite casual though, so he got more wear out of it. Will try and find a photo to put on my profile.

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:22

Think the waist coat one prob be best, and more practical on a baby probably.

Elkie glad you got window fixed.

Ange glad throat feeling better.

NL - bye.

Elkie - sizes of baby clothes vary so much dont they. Agree M&S tend to be smaller. Mothercare middle of the road. Matalan HUGE!! Although every now and then something from Matalan comes up really small and completely throws me!

Anyone else finding the sales completely crap for baby boy's clothes. Loads of girl's stuff but naff all for boys Its nearly always like this and is the same in the Next clearance place.

All Nathan's 9-12 month clothes are summer things so having to buy nearly all new for D, was hoping to get some bargains in the sales but only managed to find one outfit. And for some reason I've only got sleepsuits in 0-3,3-6 and 12-18 months. No 6-9 or 9-12 No idea why

StealthPolarBear · 09/01/2008 22:22

I did want him all tiny and in a gown
But wasn't organised enough. He'd only have pooed all over it, vomited on it or sucked it anyway!

Eddas · 09/01/2008 22:24

pesha, you don't want any 6-9 sleepsuits do you, i have LOADS!

Oh and meant to say about the brek-in elkie. I know i'm late in saying it but hope you are ok

StealthPolarBear · 09/01/2008 22:24

Lol at you having an odd range of sleepsuits! Do you think they were the 'crawling' ones, with bobbly, saggy knees and you threw them out?
I'm sure T has a 0-3 t shirt that he still fits into (or did a couple of months ago, it's probably be child abuse to try now!) and I think that was from Matalan

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:26

I think M&S more for slimmer babies, not so wide on the waist etc and I think T's quite a small build isnt he so prob be ok? D has an M&S dungaree outfit thats 9-12 and fits him now although on the big side so prob a good few months wear in it.

StealthPolarBear · 09/01/2008 22:28

Yes he's a skinny minnie so should be perfect!
Well, after my self absorbed posts I'm leaving, thanks for the help everyone, good night xx

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:31

Well he's growing quite well at the moment, I've been squeezing him into 3-6 sleepsuits for a while and bizarely some 12-18 mothercare pjs which are smaller than the 6-12 Primarl ones I've just bought but think I'm going to bypass 6-9 and go straight to 9-12! But thanks for the offer Eddas

SPB - I dont think I threw anything out, ever I have some 3-6 sleepsuits that were Maia's before Nath had them and have the feet cut out so doubt I would have thrown any more away. I think there must be a bag hiding in the loft somewhere or that got chucked out accidently by dp. Still its quite nice to have an excuser to buy baby clothes

Its so boring now M and N are at school, they dont need nearly so many cute clothes!

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:33

Have added dedication photos to my profile!

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:34

Sorry I meant if I didnt even throw the footless ones out then unlikely I would have thrown anything out!

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:35

Oh no you've all gone now I wanted to show my children off

weeonion · 09/01/2008 22:39

ange - i loved yr pics. jake is so cute n the sofa in his outfit. loved the way he has his hand on izzy in the one of all three of them!

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:40

I've looked!!

THought 'ahh Jake's cute' then thought 'hang on she had a girl didnt she, but jake sounds right, no she had Izzy' and then remembered the miracle of photos and how they can show pics of babies from times passed I'm so dappy lately I dont know whats wrong with me!

Jake is very cute, how old is he at his dedication? He was a dinky little thing too wasnt he?!

And Izzy looks a lot like you doesn't she?! Didnt notice that before. Gorgeous big eyes, specially in the pic in the car seat (I think its a car seat?!)

OH and lol at the elf pic - so cute!!

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:41

Awwwwww thanks WO glad some is around to appreciate them

How are things with you WO?

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:42

Ahem

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:44

Thanks Pesha, Jake was 4.5 months at his dedication and yes he was dinky, but only 2lb 10oz born remember!

Thanks for saying Izzy looks like me, loads of people have been saying that recently, before everyone just said she was like DH!
Think she's in her pushchair in that pic.

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:45

x posts pesha sorry

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 22:48

Definitely waistcoat outfit, SPB - suit is a bit ott imho.

Just popping in before heading off to bed - "See" you tomorrow lovely ladies. xx

AngeG · 09/01/2008 22:49

Hello and night Dippy xx

elkiedee · 09/01/2008 22:49

I guess size wise trousers and a top shouldn't be such a problem, and a good fit for that special occasion is no bad thing - D grows out of babygros/sleepsuits before anything else. I put away D's 6 to 9 months and got out 9-12 months just before Christmas as I thought we'd pack new things for our week away, and noticed that the Mothercare babygros were clearly still a little too big whereas an M&S one was already a perfect fit.

fpesha · 09/01/2008 22:50

I didnt remember That would explain it then!

Need to put some pics of M and N as babies on my profile, keep meaning to but it means scanning them in and that means getting the old printer out...

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 22:50

Lovely pics Ange - Your children are beautiful
