Hi daisy.

Christmas is just SO stressful for babies

I may have had a bad diet evening, but, yay-hey DH has just fallen off too

I have done 6600+ steps too.

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 22:41

I bought an exercise mat today and did some abdominal exercises.

Will shortly be eating restrictively due to sudden realisation that we are bloody skint and I now have no income coming in at all , so that should help the weight loss programme!

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 07/01/2008 22:46

Just seen this thread, didn't realise there was two on the go!

I don't want to find my old self! She was a bit shallow and bitchy, I much prefer the "mum" me. She is a much nicer person!

Physically, however, she had a flat tummy, which was nice ! She also brushed her hair quite often and wore make up and had nice clothes!

If only I could find a happy medium!

Alas!

thisisRialifebaby · 07/01/2008 23:09

'Tis a bit confusing.

I am a big fat dollop. My lovely mum pointed out this evening that I was thinner in the photo taken when baggins was born (the one on my FB profile). I actually look like an over-inflated transvestite (perhaps I could be in Hairspray?)Must make more effort with the appearance thing.

But trying is better than not trying?

Am I sad to want to buy the Strictly Come Dancercise DVD?

I am off to bed to visualise myself jogging (that's as near as I'll EVER get

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/01/2008 23:45

There's a STrictly exercise DVD????

I want it. I'd love to learn how to dance properly, but sadly DH has three left feet (or so it seems) and thinks mine are there just to cushion his delicate instep!

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 09:45

I think there's two - one with Lilia, and the "official" Strictly one with Karen and I think it's Erin. A necessary purchase I think!(hmm, birthday present to self...)

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 12:31

for anyone who's going walking and wants to know how far - this is good www.gmap-pedometer.com/

You need to click on the more options link if you are in the UK, then put in your town and zoom in to a suitable level. Press Start recording on the left hand side and then double click on points on the map to trace your route. It will tell you how far you've gone and if you are brave enough to put in your weight, it will give you a measure of the calories used.

sputnik · 08/01/2008 13:04

God that's cool Jammy
Doesn't do italy yet though

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 13:08

sorry Sputnik
It tells me I walked 1.8 miles down to Sainsburys and back this morning to pick up some cut price fish and venison (both low fat )

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 13:53

I have topped yesterdays step count already today. that'll be it for today though cos it's raining fast now.

milkyJammy · 08/01/2008 15:06

Well seeing as we had a lovely clear space in our bedroom after my tidy up session last week, i dragged the exercise bike out of C's room where it has been gathering dust in the corner and set it up in our room. But I didn't get to use it as the batteries were missing. Ah well, at least I tried and we can go out tomorrow for batteries.

thisisRialifebaby · 08/01/2008 22:44

yay - 10635 steps (I went out again about an hour ago for 11/2 times round the block, in the freezing rain/hail - do I get extra points for that?)

only thing is my back is very sore

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 10:34

Going out late in the dark, cold, and wet is true dedication! But I am intrigued by one and a half times round the block - does that mean you didn't make it home?

thisisRialifebaby · 09/01/2008 10:39

I went round our block and then up the cul-de-sac behind our garden and back on the street round to the front.

Bloody pedometer just fell off my trousers and landed in the full bath. Hope it works when it dries out!

sputnik · 09/01/2008 11:13

Sounds like that pedometer is a good motivator, you're doing really well with the walking. What make is it? (and does it still work after the bath?)

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 11:43

Well the pc repair chap from dell has come this morning, so we will be having a brisk walk out this afternoon - and picking up some batteries for the exercise bike.

thisisRialifebaby · 09/01/2008 11:47

not sure of the make, got it in Asda a couple of years ago and had never used it. I hope it lives.I was quite enjoying myself having a visible achievement (rather than just "I walked round half the village" or whatever)

Must have lost weight already if my waistband was so slack it fell off

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 12:35

ria, if it doesn't i know our local lloyds pharmacy often has them on offer, might be worth a look?

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 12:37

obviously in your local lloyds, not mine! it would be a long way for you to come!

sputnik · 09/01/2008 13:08

now all you need to do Ria is calculate how many steps = 1 creme egg .
And Jammy needs to know how many steps = one choc reindeer, one bar green & blacks cherry, 3 choc oranges, 2 boxes brandy beans, 1 box ferrero rocher, 1 box thornton's fudge, 2 tins and 1 packet sweet biscuits, 4 packets savoury biscuits, 1 big bag crisps, 1 big bag rice crackers. And a partridge in a pear tree.

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 13:14

LOL Sputnik!

When I get the exercise bike working I may well look up how many calories in a square of green & blacks and cycle enough to have a few squares

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 15:28

3.3 miles brisk walk this afternoon, pushing the buggy of course.

thisisRialifebaby · 09/01/2008 18:31

No exercise, no motivation today. Long story.

Thanks jammy, don't know where our nearest Lloyds is. I think I spotted them for less than £5 in argos.

DH thinks the water has shorted the battery, but he hasn't had time to operate yet.

Tomorrow WILL be a better day.

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 20:16

You need a days rest now and then Ria

milkyJammy · 10/01/2008 09:28

Well preliminary results indicate a weight loss! 2lb in a week However the bathroom floor is so uneven that the scales aren't terribly accurate, the weight indicated can vary depending on exactly where you've put the scales down - could actually be a gain of 2lb Therefore tomorrow morning I am going to bring the scales downstairs where we have nice level floors and do another weigh in to get a new reference point.
