Well done to Daisyboo. I won't tell you how many times DS3, DS2 AND DS1 woke up last night .

Johnston's is awful Daisy - it gives my DCs terrible skin. My homeopath recommended sos cream. It's fab and works a treat on DS3 who has very sensitive skin. The homeopathic thinking on steroids is that it suppresses the excema and what you are really wanting is to let it come out.

I forgot about Monday and won't be able to make it. I'm really sorry. Can we do a post-Christmas meet-up?

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 13:49

thanks annobal....you did link that before. I'll try it.

I could start my own chemist shop with the amount of lotions and potions I've tried.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 05/12/2007 14:13

Daisy, hope babyboo's rash clears up soon. Nothing to suggest, sorry. Dd was always a big sufferer of nappy rash and I never really found anything to clear it up.

I want to get something from this range for ds, but that site is the only one I can find with it in stock and I'm not paying £5 for postage when the toy is only £10!

Thanks for the word of advice Foxy, and good luck with the hospital.

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 05/12/2007 14:25

Arghhhh, things were going so well today till i got home from the library. dd was hugry, but so was i and i knew she would fall asleep on me after feeding, so i put her on the changing mat on the floor with her nappy off hoping that would keep her happy till i had made my lunch, but in between DD projectile pooed from the mat onto my rug, so I went to get the Shout spray and the spray handle scalped my knuckle somehow so I was bleeding everywhere, trying to clear up poo from my rug clean up dd and by then DD was howling for food so lunch had to wait. Grrrr. So now I'm going to sit on the sofa and watch trashy tv if you don't mind!

and I still have the incredible pooing baby. Should I be worried? It's very sticky. She doesn't show any other signs of teething?

Hope all of your toddlers are behaving!

Holly - I can't believe your DS, it makes him look so grown up! DD doesn't seem to be interested in moving at all. Do you think it's because he's bigger? DD is so small, I guess she doesn't have the strength to hold herself up.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 05/12/2007 14:28

Phew! Just back from Xmas shopping. DD was very good and got loads done - even some clothes shopping for me - but exhausted now.

Don't envy those that have multiple LOs, specially if jealousy or similar is involved. Paperchains sound fab! Never seen Peppa Pig, so can't comment - we're big Hoobs fans in this house.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 05/12/2007 14:29

Bad luck Bumper! Enjoy your trashy tv, you deserve it

BadZelda · 05/12/2007 14:44

Bumper - not sure but maybe she might have a stomach upset? Is it mucousy? DD2 had green mucousy poo for a few days, so I cut out all the solids and stepped up the feeding to make sure it wasn't due to food intolerance or too much fore-milk (though your DD isn't on any yet is she?) and it sorted itself out on day 5 or so.

Daisy so sorry about the rashes - DD1 used to get a lot - to the point where it would even bleed, but DD2 doesn't seem to, so maybe some babies are just more sensitive? Having said that DD1 already had several teeth by this stage, so maybe it is teething causing it? (DD2 not really showing any signs)

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 05/12/2007 14:45

fortunately haven't had to foray into the world of children's tv yet. DD has to put up with scrubs and dawson's creek!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 14:53

HOLLY

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 14:56

or here postage seems cheaper?

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2007 14:58

bumper....DD has got yucky pooey nappies as well now, so sympathies to you and your poor rug!

hope your fingers are OK!

Sputnik · 05/12/2007 15:18

Daisy did your doctor mean use baby oil for cleaning her, as opposed to soap and water? If so then you could use olive oil, or almond oil or similar. Olive oil is really good for baby's skin.

foxythesnowman · 05/12/2007 16:07

YAY! Got signed off (surprise surprise!). Nothing wrong with the wee bub. Infact she's put on another few oz since getting her weighed last friday. One less thing to worry about so am very pleased.

Daisy, I second Sputnik's good advice at using a different oil. Am a bit surprised she recommended Johnsons too.

Bugger about that jam jar Holly.

I'm absolutely convinced there's Christmas Build-up Bad Behaviour Syndrome which affects the 6's and under. Mine are being silly and annoying, nothing particularly bad but it inevitably ends in one of them getting wound up and crying/whining/coming to me for sympathy. (They'll learn!)

Righto, tea, bath and bed for them. Am going to crack the whip tonight!

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 05/12/2007 16:10

Well done foxy, that's brill!

Sputnik · 05/12/2007 16:11

Yay Foxy.
Fantasy Secret Santa has you down for one of these (in a leopardskin presentation box)

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 05/12/2007 16:30

where do you find these websites sputnik?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 05/12/2007 16:32

Huzzah for Foxy!!

justbeme · 05/12/2007 16:35

Well done Foxy!

Can i ask a Formula question pls?
Lucy was fed a carton of SMA this afternoon by my neighbour - she warmed it up first and theres 3oz left- does it need to be chucked or can I feed it to her later without warming it up?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 05/12/2007 16:38

Has anyone tried any of these baby skin care products?

HellHathNoFury · 05/12/2007 16:44

jbm, depends on how later is later. Personally I would warm it again and feed it to her but only if it's no more than a couple of hours... otherwise warm milky bottles are a breeding ground for nasties so any longer than that and best chuck it.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 05/12/2007 16:48

HURRAH for the littlest fox cub! Glad everything is A-okay!

I've tried the baby oil jammy. My secret stork bought it for me! It smells yummy and is really good for the skin.

JBM, I would chuck it tbh. You are not supposed to reheat milk. I suppose you could feed it unheated, but I've never had any luck trying to get my babies to drink cold milk!

Johnsons is shit but I do use the yellow shampoo...there is no smell like it!

If my dcs have dry skin I use E45 or Oilatum stuff...it makes for super smooth, if slightly greasy, kids!
