@CherLW , @Bubbles1st, @crobo87, I might be wrong... my husband (not knowing about this conversation) just came down and said he needed to hoover upstairs as my hair is everywhere! Can it just suddenly start? I hadn't noticed before.

crobo87 · 04/12/2021 10:12

Yeah mine just came out of nowhere. I first noticed it in the shower when I washed my hair my hands were covered in it

Scotti84 · 04/12/2021 11:26

Mines not started yet, but when I was pregnant, I had two small round bald patches so maybe I'm I'm other way round.

In other news my period came today... was hoping with breastfeeding i had a few more months, but at least everything's working again

CherLW · 04/12/2021 17:51

@AdventuresAwait mine was quite sudden. It’s everywhere! When I brush my hair after I wash it the comb is pretty full! I’m now wearing my hair up more in the hope it won’t fall out as much or if it does it won’t be making such a mess!

Bubbles1st · 04/12/2021 22:02

@AdventuresAwait maybe it's like targeted advertising when your phone is listening! In this case your head, hope I'm not next.

Sorry I know it's not funny really and I hope the whispy bits and bald patches don't last long for anyone

AdventuresAwait · 05/12/2021 00:11

@CherLW @Bubbles1st @crobo87, thanks. I'll see how it goes. I haven't noticed it so might be ok at the moment.

@Scotti84 I was just today wondering when my periods will restart. Like you, I thought I had a while as I'm breastfeeding so good to know it could be anytime!

Kirky658 · 06/12/2021 12:27

Hi all hope everyone's OK. Alice has her first ever cold and she's so poorly it's making me sad 🙁 she is coughing so much she's being projectile sick, it's so hard to see her so I'll x

Bubbles1st · 06/12/2021 16:11

@Kirky658 sorry to hear Alice is
Poorly, I'm dreading the first cold here.

I hope it passes quickly for both of your sakes.

AdventuresAwait · 06/12/2021 21:26

Oh @Kirky658, sorry to hear Alice has a cold. I hope she feels better very soon xx

KHR1 · 06/12/2021 21:27

@Kirky658 hope Alice feels better soon, it's awful seeing your little one poorly :(

Scotti84 · 07/12/2021 01:28

@Kirky658 hope Alice is better soon. Its so awful seeing them feeling unwell isnt it. Hope youre doing ok x

KHR1 · 07/12/2021 13:19

Has anyone elses little one had a substantial drop in percentiles?

Health visitor has just been and he's gone from 96th percentile at birth, about 91st at 1-2 months and now he's suddenly dropped to 54th at 12 weeks. He's been feeding about 30oz of milk a day (half breastmilk half formula). She's coming back in two weeks to weigh again but just wondered if it had happened to anyone else and what I should expect if he doesn't go back up/continues to drop?

Kirky658 · 08/12/2021 11:42

Been for my smear this morning. It HAD to be in the same room as my last midwife consultation when I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia didn't it. I explained I felt nervous because i have pnd and ptsd from the birth and she went 'well we don't always get the birth we want' I was not pleased and quite upset. Then as I'd been bleeding on my pill she took chlamydia swabs, WTAF!!!!

Scotti84 · 08/12/2021 12:52

@Kirky658 what is wrong with people?! Especially in these supposedly caring professions! Just unnecessary and so not helpful for you.

AdventuresAwait · 11/12/2021 15:29

Hi @Kirky658, sorry to hear about your experience when you went for your smear. I've been meaning to ask how is Alice now? Hope she's feeling much better xx

Kirky658 · 11/12/2021 15:32

@adventuresawait thanks lovely. She's OK, she still has the cough but is getting better we think 😊 thank you for asking. Hope you both are doing well? X

AdventuresAwait · 12/12/2021 01:11

@Kirky658 glad Alice is starting to feel better. We're doing well thank you xx

CherLW · 13/12/2021 21:43

Sorry to hear the nurse wasn’t very compassionate @Kirky658 😞 I hope Alice is doing better now.. When Jesse had his first cold a few weeks back he was sick a few times too 😞

Im finding things a big difficult at the moment as no one I know has a young baby and I feel Jesse is missing out on the interaction. We’re starting a group in January but with covid there aren’t many about!
Made me wish our little ‘September babies’ group were all closer together so we could meet up after being with each other chatting all year xx

AdventuresAwait · 13/12/2021 23:11

I feel the same @CherLW. We go to a weekly parent and toddler group & I'm planning on starting swimming sessions at the end of January unless restrictions change that. But other groups are virtual so I haven't joined. I don't have friends with young babies either so I'm glad we have this group. And I read the August group on here as there are lots of messages there and my little one is a similar age as very early September. Not the same at all but good to know that many of the experiences we have are shared.

CherLW · 14/12/2021 10:21

@AdventuresAwait I’m hoping to start swimming with Jesse in February time so I really hope the restrictions allow it! It’s a shame isn’t it about the virtual groups.. I was looking last night and a lot of them were on zoom!
Hope you’re doing ok x

Scotti84 · 15/12/2021 14:42

Hi guys, Im the same over here, no groups atm and my one mate with a child, hes 9 so not ideal.

Quick couple of questions, when can i carry Lilly front facing in a baby carrier? She sleeps when shes facing me now, or cries because i think its boring.

Also shes started crying / screaming when she wakes up from her nap, just the longer midday one, on a morning shes fine but midday its awful, red faced, tears, the works and i cant seem to work out why, anything similar?

AdventuresAwait · 15/12/2021 15:48

Hi @Scotti84, I thought front facing was from 4 months but I just checked the guidelines for our carrier and it says from 5 months. I think our daughter wants to look out and see everything too so looking forward to that.

Our little one sometimes cries when waking from a nap but it's not a particular time of day, just after some naps. I don't know why she is upset, just wakes crying and still seems half asleep.

So no help, sorry!

CherLW · 15/12/2021 20:35

@Scotti84 @AdventuresAwait Jesse is like that too, kind of like he’s crying in his sleep as he’s about to wake up. As soon as he opens his eyes and sees me he’s fine but it’s sad to see him crying and wimpering

Scotti84 · 17/12/2021 09:35

@AdventuresAwait @CherLW thanks for replying guys, it's helpful even if it's not, at least i know it's not something only Lilly does. It could be like Jesse that she's still asleep, I thought her eyes were shut from crying too much but it could be that she's still asleep. I hate hearing her sound so sad, she sometimes makes this noise that sounds like she's saying owww, it kills me!

Kirky658 · 21/12/2021 13:41

Hey ladies hope everyone's OK. Alice is being so fussy at the min and wanting to eat soooooo much! It's driving me a bit mental tbh. She is struggling to go down for bed too it is such a battle. Anyone else or just us?!
