Thanks. I go to one on Thurs mornings that my DSIL reopened a few weeks ago in a church hall. (it’s not on today as she is on holiday) Am constantly on the lookout for others. It is interesting what you said about unusual places like soft play. This is my first. Couple of friends and DCs and my toddler niece have struggled due to lack of socialisation over past year or so feel lucky things are starting to open up. I’m sure everyone on this group had to go to at least one appointment alone during our pregnancies.

Tilltheend99 · 30/09/2021 11:12

*friend’s DCs

I’m not doing well with the typos today lol

HumunaHey · 30/09/2021 13:04

Hi @Tilltheend99 This is my 2nd baby soI knew what to expect. He's also more chilled than Ds1 was at this age but still, I'm absolutely knackered!

How are you getting on?

Mummy2O · 20/10/2021 21:08

How is everyone doing?

LadySB89 · 23/10/2021 22:56

Experiencing the 4th month sleep deprivation.
Her sleeping/feeding timetable is all over the place. Difficult to put her into her own bed, as soon as she's put down her eyes open and gets cranky.

HumunaHey · 29/10/2021 16:48

@mummy20 Only just started getting into the swing of things. Think we've handled going from 1 to 2 DC quite well but, my god, it's tiring.

DC2 had his 12 week jabs the other morning and cried for the restof the day. I'm dreading the 16 week ones.

How are you getting on?

Mummy2O · 29/10/2021 17:20

@LadySB89 How is sleeping going for you now? I hope things have settled down a bit now.

@HumunaHey My DC1 was like that after his first jabs. He was OK after the ones after that. DC2 was just sleepy thankfully. We were expecting the same, so were very surprised. Going from 1 to 2 has been an experience! Half term has had me practically cross-eyed having had them both by myself all week. We have survived though. Grin

HumunaHey · 29/10/2021 19:31

@Mummy2O I guess I'm kind of lucky as DS1 is in nursery and attends 3 days a week including half terms. Hats of to you for surviving a full week with two little ones- I really don't think I could handle it!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok x

Mummy2O · 29/10/2021 20:20

@HumunaHey It was better than I feared it would be. We managed a few days out, including a seaside trip, so the eldest got some attention and was happy.

Yes she's well settled now. Sleeping and feeding time is working like clock work.

Gilbertsaurus · 30/10/2021 19:41

We've been doing pretty well until this weekend, DS and I have both got COVID! Thankfully he doesn't seem too ill with it but not looking forward to 10 days of isolation with a grumpy 3.5 month old!

Mummy2O · 31/10/2021 22:55

@Gilbertsaurus Oh no! I hope you are all OK and that the symptoms pass quickly.

PeanutButterFalcon · 08/11/2021 11:51

Does anyone’s baby have CMPA? We’re looking at weaning soon and I don’t want to accidentally give her something with milk in! The health visitor will be coming soon to go through it all

LadySB89 · 13/11/2021 22:43

DD has developed a heat rash. When she gets very warm little pink dots appear. doc has prescribed zero cream.
Anyone with similar experience?

PurpleCurtain · 13/11/2021 23:17

There are some good vegan baby led weaning groups on facebook you could try? How long have you known its CMPA?
HumunaHey · 29/12/2021 18:10

Hey everyone,

Just checking in to see how you're all doing and ask if anyone has started weaning yet and how you started? DC1 took to weaning very easily and showed clear signs of readiness in the lead up. However DC2 (5months and 1week) is showing no signs of being ready in the next few weeks. He can't sit up unaided and he shows little interest in food. I know alot can change over the next few weeks but I'm desperate for him to be ready by 6months so my worn out boobs can begin to get a break (he is a dummy and bottle refuser).

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 28/02/2022 07:53

Hey everyone - just re-found this thread! How’s everyone doing? Xx

Mummy2O · 28/02/2022 14:31

Good, thank you. I'm back at work now. Feels like I have never been away in many ways. My LO is doing well. Growing far too quickly and learning new things every day. He cut his first teeth last week, which led to a fair bit of sleep disruption. (Thank God for coffee!)

How are you doing?

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 28/02/2022 14:45

All good here too! I’m back in May dreading it already. How are you finding being back at work?

My little girl is getting her top teeth now so we have some very rosy cheeks going on at the moment xx

Mummy2O · 28/02/2022 18:15

I am finding it OK. The thought of returning is always worse than the doing of it. Juggling everything is hard and I'm shattered by the evenings, but I am just trying to be kind to myself.

I hope your little one's new teeth aren't causing her too many issues.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 01/03/2022 08:28

Yeah I think the build up to it will be worse than actually doing it! Either way it has to happen so no point stressing too much!

Yeah I bet it’s tiring though!

She’s not doing too bad teeth wise just a bit red in the cheeks but a bit of calpol sorts her out.

Can’t believe our babies are 1 this year! Times going way too quickly!!! Xx

Mummy2O · 01/03/2022 15:19

The time is going far too quickly! Feels even quicker than with my first somehow.

How are you getting on with weaning? We are very much enjoying trying lots of different things, but I doubt how much actually makes it into his mouth. Grin

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/03/2022 08:51

She’s not doing too badly at all - we’re doing a bit of spoon feeding and some BLW stuff too - she eats everything spoon wise and even the lumps haven’t phased her yet….feeding herself is a bit more hit and miss! How’s your eldest son taken to your youngest? Xx

Mummy2O · 02/03/2022 23:06

So far, so good. My eldest dotes on him. If anything he tries to be a little bit too hands on. They are very cute together. I worry that it will all change when the baby is big enough to nick his toys. Grin

Tilltheend99 · 17/06/2022 23:13

Hi all! Happy birth month to all your babies 🙂

DD has said a few new words past few days so today MIL started telling her to “use her words” if she drops something and wants it passed/picked up.

I didn’t say anything as hoping it was just the hot weather causing a flap, but feel it seems a bit soon to be expecting this of her. Just wondering what others thoughts are? DH didn’t seem bothered 😆Thanks
