Not too bad a day thanks. Apart from a bit this afternoon when DH thouoght he had drilled through a power cable But turns out it was ok. We did get sapce cleared for an inflatable guest bed for when my parents come to visit in a couple of weeks, and he was trying to put a curtain up at the patio door. So at least we made progress and the curtain pole will go up tomorrow, now that DH has calmed down.

foxythesnowman · 01/12/2007 20:39

scary. did he get a shock? hope he is ok.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 01/12/2007 20:39

Blimey it took me ages to type that post, but I guess I was eating dinner at the same time

Daisy, glad your nephew is OK.

justbeme · 01/12/2007 20:44

I'll let you know if I actually get the goods!!

Glad your nephew is on the mend Daisy.

Peas and Straws wtf?

Mojo??

I think im being thick tonight......

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 01/12/2007 20:46

No, thankfully no shock. He was drilling and hit something solid, there was a flash he says, and the ring circuit of plugs tripped out. But after some swearing and investigation, it turned out he had just touched the edge of the trunking (or whatever it's called?)

Sputnik · 01/12/2007 20:49

In that case there's 2 of us JBM

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 01/12/2007 20:51

Right...who hasn't had their secret santa emails? I know my dp has sent them to everyone using the addresses I have for you all because he ticked them off the list as he sent them. If you email [email protected] I'll get him to reply tomorrow.

He has gone out tonight . Not that I mind him going out, but after the shannanigans of last time I let him out on his own I am not too happy.

Great news on the nephew front daisy, hope he is better soon.

BZ sent me a facebook message with some advice on improving my lower back....

...and I quote....

"I promise your back pain will be gone if you imagine, several times a day, that you have a straw up your fanny and you need to suck peas up it one by one!"

foxy, by mojo do you mean the will to do it, or the enjoyment of it? If I manage either, I'll let you know

can no-one post and do pelvic floors at the same time then, or am i missing something good on the telly or on another thread?

foxythesnowman · 01/12/2007 21:07

Annobal and everyone, I linked the wrong internet shopping thread the other day. this one will keep you much busier!!!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 01/12/2007 21:09

OK,night everyone, I'm off to watch recorded Studio 60 from the other night.

foxythesnowman · 01/12/2007 21:09

Yep, mojo, getting your groooove back, libido, etc etc.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 01/12/2007 21:17

Libido, what's that then?

Got to go, my boyfriend is on the tv...Simon Le Bon...swooooon!!

Sounds like one of those bizarre Thai cabaret acts. Never knew BadZ was so talented

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 01/12/2007 21:19

nada on the libido front here......the times we did it, I was just doing it to keep DH happy really....it wasn't terribly comfortable (I think due to the BFing) and I think feeling fat and lumpy with tender boobs and a stretched saggy tummy doesn't really do a lot for my confidence either.

It also took a long time to get the desired effect iyswim and I'm too knackered to go to all that effort

Sputnik · 01/12/2007 21:22

Isn't he old enough to be your dad Holly?

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 01/12/2007 21:30

ROLF, I just looked him up on Wikipedia and he is 1 year younger than my dad ! He is 49, my dad is 50 today!!

I STILL haven't done it since ds was born. DP keeps moaning about it, but I really don't want to. I feel fat and horrible and not sexy at all.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 01/12/2007 21:31

I was a big Duranie, back in the day , but JT was my guy. I always though Simon a bit pudgy and whiney really.

I saw them in concert at Ingliston Showground in November 1983 when I was 14 (fuck that was a long time ago). It was there that I got trampled on in the first row and now have a lifelong shoulder injury. It was the Seven and the Ragged Tiger tour, but I'd been a fan since Planet Earth was first released in 1981.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 01/12/2007 21:32

I meant ROFL not ROLF!

I'm bored!

OP posts:
deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 01/12/2007 21:34

I LOVE Duran Duran and even though SLB is as old as my dad I still think he is a fitty! I missed it all first time round though (I was born in 1981), I wish I could have been a new romantic!

OP posts:
TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 01/12/2007 21:36

ooooh, correction, tour date was 10th December (I just googled it).

justbeme · 01/12/2007 21:36

Born in 1981 - god I was in my 2nd yr at secondary school Holly!! God I feel old!
I too liked John Taylor - I thought Simon had a big nose!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 01/12/2007 21:37

justbeme · 01/12/2007 21:40
