You can also get some stuff called snufflebabe- its a mild form of vicks. May help clear LOs chest and passages a bit.

Well- been having a pain of a day. Came in last night and put my keys down, and have spent the day with DH turning the house upside down trying to find them. we have been looking for 4 solid hours and still nothing. Wouldn't be so bad except have been using my spare car key because my other one got stolen so now I can't get into my car !! And Serens buggy is in there. Gonna have to call Ford tomorrow and see if they are able to get me another key ASAP. Looks like a week of staying in for me!

Sorry for the moan- not really in the festive spirit! Hope you are all well x

sorry just jumping on from july 2006 thread. snufflebabe is great rub it on their chest and back and it'll help. also karvol do those plug in vaporisers which are brilliant - tad expensive you have to replace the insert after 3 days but it really helped ds when he was snuffly.

or propping up the cot on telephone books helps, or if they are really really bad we resorted to putting ds in his little bouncer for a bad night - it really helped him

myfairone - hope your lo is feeling a bit better. Really gross I know, but I have been known to delve in there with loo roll or a tissue and unblock dd's nose that way. Not pleasant, but it does the tick (and saves her biting me!). Snufflebabe, olbas oil and saline nasal drops are all pretty good too.

Just been for a girlie lunch with some of the girls I work/ed with. DD decided to wake when we arrived (after only 10 mins nap), but was happy enough until I put her back in the car. Luckily had planned on stopping off to buy some rubber ducks for the bath on the way home. She had filled her nappy and I couldn't smell it! Oops. Wonder if that was why she was awake too?

Can I join this thread??

My ds was born 07.07.07 - so that makes him a July baby.

He is a big baby, and has just got over his first cold! Would recommend the snufflebabe vapour rub and the karvol vapour plug in!

Hello all - caroline1852 here. I have namechanged. Sounds like all the July babies are sprinting off into the distance - weaning, rolling and standing up in the bath . LO is just having 5 milk feeds a day - showing no signs of being remotely interested in solids, doesn't sit up yet, doesn't roll but is wonderfully smiley and cheerful.
I hope you all have a lovely lovely Christmas.

thepreciousbabycheeses - nice to see they have the same lucky b-day! Heard there were lots if babies born that day, but haven't met any yet!

My boy loves solids, can't get enough, and has only just dropped to 4 milk feeds a day (he is formula fed), although sometimes he still wants five!

He is sitting up, although not rolling properly, can only roll from front to back!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

10 kilos sounds like a lot. Well done you.I didn't really weigh myself so not sure if I am back to where I was. Most of my old clothes now fit, except the tight tops. Does your belly ever get flat again after a C section? (if you are normal and not a celeb)

Just been out for yummy lunch (anothr reason for flabby belly). Ds went in a highchair in a restaurant for the first time, usually he's in the pushchair. This was his first "posh" lunch, before we'd been to Pizza Expess and Zizzis. We had three delicious courses, he had mashed carrot and kale, with banana for pudding. He was a diamond tho. No tears and he smiled at all the waitresses. I had a strawberry bellini and some lovely wine (smug emoticon too).

Merry Christmas everyone - have an extra special one with your LO's . Just think, a year ago we were all waiting for our 12 week scans!! What a year! It's been the best year of my life .

It's not all good though - I need to go to the emergency dentist tomorrow as one of my back teeth broke this morning - tonight Little O and I are both having teething problems! She now has two teeth at the bottom - I'm so proud!

Good luck to all of you cooking Christmas dinner!

Hi all,
Just wanted to say Merry christmas to you all. Hope this one is extra special for all our LO's.

My little one has just got over chicken pox - passed on to her from big sis. at least they have both had it, but they both also have bad colds and coughs. have also found the snufflebabe stuff helpful.

Good luck to anyone cooking at christmas. This is the first year in ages that we haven't entertained on at least one of the days, so need to make the most of it! xx

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all had a fab time and those cooking dinner didn't get too stressed.

DD loved opening her pressies and was very excited although she didn't understand what was going on. I think she just liked the sound the paper made and being the centre of attention! When she'd opened all hers, she started trying to help her Grandpa open his...

She had been sleeping through the night for over a week, but the the last 4 nights she has decided to wake at 2.30 and sing for an hour or so! So the last two, we haven't moved her into our room when we've gone to bed. She was getting too big for her crib anyway so it was about time. Just had to do it gently so not too traumatic for me . My folks have gone home now, so I guess we will find out if it their trips to the loo that kept waking her, or her Grandma's snoring (kept me & dh awake)

Merry Christmas all,

We had a (relatively) quiet christmas and a busy day yesterday as it was DDs 3rd birthday, which involved a big family party.

Can't believe DS had his half birthday on boxing day - time seems to have flown by. He is now on 3 meals a day and his usual 5 milk feeds. He has tried baby rice, pear and apple and loves them all. However, i'd forgotten about the impact of solids on dirty nappies! Yuck! At least there's only one a day at the moment.

Hello and Merry Christmas! I am new to this thread having only discovered MN in the last few months - wish I had known about it 5.5 months ago when dd was born! It's nice to read about all the other July babies!
