CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2007 22:36

Yes mrm - it's what we discussed. Arrived today .

Glad card arrived. Since I was late posting it I can't complain about you being late mentioning it .

Hope the bedclothes are all matching, or flame will be v distressed .

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2007 22:38

Should I delete your old mobile number completely btw mrm, or are you still using it to receive messages at all?

Jas · 30/11/2007 22:40

I'll need a ravelcard, too. Can't I just buy it on the way?

I don' care if slinky makinki (much better than HM) is a bit too old. It is so lovely o read, ds gets it anyway. He lets me read it all the way through if I'm quick so not too bad.

I hate surprises. Ineed to meet you now to find out what you've got the dds.... Can't invite you here as we are in a mess, and your place is too far to get to during school. My brother has sent me money for PWP tickets for the dds christmas presents, so f you fancy meeting there we could maybe do that.....

Thanks for answering the ranger q Frizbe. y friends dswants one too now you've explained t to me.

mrm - that top is long and stretchy. Do you want to try it or have you really got nothing to go with it? It is only a fancy tshirt. You couldn't damage it unless you were carrying a knife inyour cleavage!

mustrunmoreisntmakingabadge · 30/11/2007 22:43

Yep, they match I think! She will be in a multicoloured duvet cover and pillowcases, with bottom sheet that goes wi th them, but is not technically part of the set. And the cover does have sme blue in places, to match th walls in lodger's room! In fact, she wont get too freaked out until she pulls down his blind to discover its the boys' old one with jungle animals on

I'm kind of keeping the old phone going as I have some credit, and I'm finding it hard to let go! But as I finally become happy with the workings of the new one, the old one will sidle out of existence. And the cobbler only has the old number, but has my boots!!

Frizbe · 30/11/2007 22:44

That photo is very cute CSWS

teuch · 30/11/2007 22:46

Hullo all...am very at you all going to nice christmas night out, although I do have a wedding dance tomorrow so I am packing for early ferry !

I still haven't caught up with the thread but the short version is life is good and very busy despite living on remote island farm! Cameron is now almost 23 months (he came early, that's why I still qualify for this thread!!) and is chatting away good style. Not all nice though as he has picked up a few naughty words and phrases...'shup up' being his favourite at the moment . I should add that we don't tell each other to shut up (often) but the cows were all baying (?) loudly and DH shouted it really loudly with C in backpack .

He's a fussy eater, I'm not a fussy feeder! He's not potty training yet but he likes to use the oilet now and again - today he said he need to 'pump and diarhea' on the loo. He is obsessed with books and thinks he can read, obsessed with drawing and has told me that Santa is bringing him dinosaurs and a digger (wtf? who told YOU about SAnta already?)

I'm working from home and have become a very skilled procrastinator, hence my return to Mumsnet!

Sorry, did I say short version?

mustrunmoreisntmakingabadge · 30/11/2007 22:47

How do you know I dont carry weapons in my cleavage?! Nope, really dont have anything to go with it.

I think you can sdtill get travelcards at our corner shop, but since it went all oysery, I dont know TBH. All i know ias that I cant get a bus pass now, only on oyster. But you can still get travel cards at the tube station. Sorry I'm so rubbish! Dh will investigate, and get 3 from somewher! There's no logical reason why the shop couldnt sell them, but I dont think you all want to pay the £3 to get an oyster card to use, and we only have one spare one for fisitors. If you cant get them, then you'dhave to pay £2 on the bus to the tube, hich is oyther wise included in the travel card price IYSWIM. So you must be able to get them, else that would be daft. Er, I think I might be thinknig aloud hee!r

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2007 22:50

I don't know slinky malinki either (I am quite rubbish with children's books!), but have ordered hm for a boy a few weeks younger than dd (they have a dog too!).

PWP would be good Jas. I have Tesco days out vouchers that need to be used by end of Jan I think, which I got to go there orginally. When do you fancy?

Think I'm signing off now, as dd screaming, so will go see her then go to bed.

Flamesparrow · 30/11/2007 23:10

I'm not taking a camera... I planned to, but then discovered I can't find the memory card, and if I have managed to lose that, what will I do with the actual camera!?!

mustrunmoreisntmakingabadge · 30/11/2007 23:25

Hmm, I was thinknig about the fact I'd have to lug it round with me. But I'm prob taking my bigg-ish bag anyway (big my my standards; bigger then my pink thing Flame)

Er, you'll notice I'm still onher. So not cleaning or preparing for you, and not getting any sleep so I can get up ealrly and do it! You might have to brace yourself for a conplete tip

Flamesparrow · 30/11/2007 23:36

I am also still on here... just had to strip DD's bed and put the sheets in the machine she refused pull ups, and amanged to sleep just where there was no waterproof bit so the brand new mattress will stink of urine forever

I meant to buy a cover this week, but, well... you've all seen my week unfold!

I'm getting up when the kids do, they never sleep in, but if by some freak chance they do, I'll be a bit late Psycho tends to run at least 30mins later than the real world anywya.

mustrunmoreisntmakingabadge · 30/11/2007 23:38

Thats ok, as my friend tends to run 1.5 hours behind RL! Reckon I'm safe to go to the market? Dh will be her to greet you in an emergency! Eeek, just realised that mn and RL will cross over

mustrunmoreisntmakingabadge · 30/11/2007 23:39

BTW, we just found out that friend-of-flame's-sister is known to friend-of-frizbe

Flamesparrow · 01/12/2007 08:35
Grin
CantSleepWontSleep · 01/12/2007 08:48

Looks like I'll be the one asleep in the corner tonight then .

Flamesparrow · 01/12/2007 09:53

About to set off for Psycho's. Have probably forgotten oodles

Jas · 01/12/2007 10:10

Bad night csws?

I was up at 2 with ds so I'm not going to be particularly bright eiher.

DP let me have a proper lie in He made me tea andeverything

I probably won't be online again today, so I'll see you tonight, and everyone else, have a good one and I'll be back tomorrow.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/12/2007 13:37

Not bad, but not good either. Up earlier than I'd have liked, so will be ready for a sleep by about 5pm!

UniS · 01/12/2007 14:56

yep Unicycle HOCKEY. I race on unicycles too.

silver in the womens orienteering at last years world champs. In past years I've managed silver or bronze in at least one of the classes I've entered, mainly off road or 10km on road.

Jas · 02/12/2007 09:05

Morning

Thanks for the use of your dress mrm I got home and was in bed by 2.15. Just as well as ds was up at 7 again. DP must have kept the dds up late though. They are both still asleep

Was the hockey today or yesterday UniS? Good luck if you haven't already done it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/12/2007 09:24

I got to bed at 2 and up just after 7 too. dh tried to bring dd down so that I could have a lie in, but she just kept coming back up.

mustrunmoreisntmakingabadge · 02/12/2007 15:57

We went to bed about 2 too.
Thanks for the top Jas I wore it with my brown skirt today! And I remembered what else I was supposed to give you; nappy liners Oh well.

The others left here about ?3pm, so I'm tidying and sorting and clearing up the boys' mess, then going to get an hours kip befre leaving for Mika! Did I mention it was Mika tonight?

Off to find the meet-up-dissection thread now....

UniS · 02/12/2007 19:28

Oh dear. After 24 hours of being off his grub, Boy vomited big style at tea time tonight, all over his end of teh table. actully not such a bad place as at least its easy to clean up a table and chair and teh plastic mat still under his chair. Looks like it wasn;t something I ate the other day but a proper tummy bug. ho hum, hope dh doesn't come down next as he has mad busy week at work.
Uni hockey was yesterday ( saturday) boy had good time playing with his best mate while we had a good time playing hockey. the kids who play want to play more... just got to work out HOW to do it as we want to play more too, but they all live the other side of the moor so its over an hour drive between us. Even to get somewhere equidistamnt is 45 min drive.
How was Mika....

Frizbe · 02/12/2007 21:18

Uni, well you did say dh was thinkig about you moving, so maybe closer to ds's buddies?
Sorry to hear he's got the bug hope he doesn't keep you up too much tonight.

Teuch lol at your ds and 'shut up' your farm sounds heavenly

Hope you all had a great night girls from your earlier conversation I had a picture in my mind of you all sat there with coco and blankets, before passing out at 10pm

We had a nice night in Nottm with my friends, although had to leave at 10.30 due to getting back for bbsitter, whilst everyone else went clubbing, eh well. Took the dd's to see Santa this afternoon, and then dd1 was gutted to find out he was totally booked up for the rest of the day WTF? that a bloody grotto has an appointment system! and that it wasn't clear till you got upto the door of the grotto that it was fully booked either.

Flamesparrow · 02/12/2007 21:23
