Oh x posts he hasn't wrote them

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 08/12/2007 22:26

Goodness, how posh csws
Ds1 never bothered withthe tree that much, but ds2 is a whole diffreent kettle of fish, so I dont trust him an inch. I've never seen a more fiddly boy.

So, do the spanx really work on your tummy? You can tell what dilemmas #I'm in again today, as I have 2 night out next well. And, OMG, I FORGOT about the parents night out for nursery, and I'm the classs rep It ws on Fri at 8; me and ds1 got in fromhis friends party at 6.30, then it was all hectic, I was cold, had a bath, then my Mum reminded me at 9pm that we were gonig out

CantSleighWontSleigh · 08/12/2007 22:42

Did someone say posh [raises hand].

Will your dh be watching the big match at 4am Phoenix? [sleepy]

PhoeNixYouAMerryChristmas · 08/12/2007 22:46

He wants to but no way is he paying £15 to watch a crappy fight. The other fight was finished before he got upstairs lmao

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 08/12/2007 22:47

Well, I did think posh. But as I've been unloading the washing machine just now, I did start wondering why you're not making Pippa make all your cards? She's an only child and you have lots of time to do it, and you can set up a production line of simple desins so she doesnt get bored I do miss doing so much one to one stuff with ds1; they tend to distract each other. i hadnt eeven realised how much his drawing had come on, until I saw some stuff on the wall at nursery

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 08/12/2007 22:49

BTW, the front roo reshuffle could porentially be topped off by the donation of an kiea corner ubit from mum's friend i need extra height in the one corner now, and having a corner unit will also make it look less straight-across-the-back-wall. Excleent! My Dad can bring it down on 17th, as long as it'll dissemble and reassemble ok.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 08/12/2007 22:55

Will corner unit go in opposite corner to enormous desk thingy, thus reducing your room size by about half in all?

Dd make cards? Lmao. Err - you try making cards with her when you're here.
Only child gets her own photo on front of card .

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 08/12/2007 23:12

Will indeed go in space where bookcase was, so giving a more cohesive feel, whilst providnf 2 lowest shelves for baskets of toys to be stored on.
Having a coffee table in the middle of th e room instead of up one corner, may, howver compromise space

Would love to do a random craft activity with the kids

Jas · 08/12/2007 23:37

New thread anyone?

I've been on a girls night at Lakeside. It was not as busy as we were expecing, and we had no children so actually go some shopping done. We even stopped off at the pub on the way home

Not keen on the carousel thigs either csws, bu dd2 would love them, so 7 would be a good age for the right girl. (dd1 would not be impressed!)

Mr csws has sill done more than Mr Jas. He's looked after the children while I've done stuff, bu if I'm really lucky he'll buy me a present. That is all he has to do. I even buy the presents fom his dad for the dc.

csws - let dd do dots of brown and red on white card with her fingers, then cut out, stick to cards and draw in feet , wings, beak and eyes for robins. Very easy and looks good.

EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 00:28

csws- sorry- the music boxes are not my taste, but I am minimalist in the extreme (think Ando and Pawson- though obviously my home is not how I'd like it to be!!!)
I used to have one which had a ballerina in and played theme from 'swan lake' but it was pretty tacky looking back LOL

for new clothes mrm- would love some myself, but never get to go shopping these days and like to try stuff on so online just doesn't excite me.
Am still putting off rearranging living room for christmas tree here.

dh has never written a christmas card as far as I am aware! He doesn't seem to do much of the shopping either, except my present (which I think he already got, as he looked all sheepish when he got home the other night from a trip to the city centre, and I hugged him and he felt 'boxy' IYSWIM)

We did do some normal shopping today though- dd got new shoes- had grown 1 whole size . we took her 2 weeks ago, and she hadn't grown, then yesterday as I put her shoes on, I noticed one was a bit funny going on, and today that foot has grown 1 whole size- weird! The other foot only went up 1/2 a size! Strange little bunny- hopping on uneven feet LOL

I got new spectacles! Had been having horrific, migrainey headaches, so got my eyes tested, and they have completely changed, back to how they were before pg hormones made them better (I'm long-sighted). These are the strongest I've had now- right eye is getting as bad as the left

EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 00:30

csws- meant to ask-are the cards the photo from the shoot?

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 09:21

Can I just clarify that the boxes I would buy for other people are more like this. I just like the carousels (the bottom 2) for dd. Dh is also in the bleuurrgh brigade .

The cards are from the same shoot as the pic on my profile, yes.

'csws - let dd do dots of brown and red on white card with her fingers, then cut out, stick to cards and draw in feet , wings, beak and eyes for robins. Very easy and looks good.' Just 2 problems with that..

  1. She won't put her fingers in paint on demand. Took her to make handprints on pottery the other week, and she resolutely refused, so we made 2 tiles covered in paint splodges that she made with a brush
  2. I can't draw to save my life, so even drawing a robin is beyond me. I've got the logical left brain sorted, but the creative right is defunct.

Yes please to new thread!

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 09/12/2007 09:38

Ds1 would love the one with the little dragon inside! He very into treasure at the moment. They're much better than the carousel ones, but still not my taste!

How about getting dd to do some magic maize? Minimal mess, and most kids love it. Ds2 enjoys it, although his creative output is even more limited than ds1's!!
I should just warn you that they did a collaborative effort on your xmas card

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 09:52

We made paper chains yesterday . Dd would stuff the next link through the existing chain, then I'd hold up the end for her to lick, she would lick it, and then I'd add a bit of sellotape for good measure (since the first few links fell apart with a little gentle play). Am not going to buy a load of crafty stuff for her now though, as makes sense to see what she gets for Christmas first. We have paint and glue and coloured paper though. If only we had a carousel of pretty scissors to go with it .
